Mafia Game: Cheers/Frasier Theme

Solar Ice turned up pro town, I am pro town also. How the hell hell can we be a mafia like faction?

The answer here is simple; we don't have Solar Ice's testimony to back up your claims.

Not that I don't believe you, just pointing out that it's not quite so black and white to us as it may be to you.

crepeman, the slight possibility that you are scum that I voted for you on earlier is crystallising into certainty with every post you make. If you somehow don't flip scum, I am going to be astonished.

Oh. If you get saved, I am going to be incandescent.

My name is Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite post in the thread.

I don't know Martin. If he can confirm 4 townies, I think it is worth it. The masons don't recruite. The might be a cult, but then if there is recruiting would be tight on the numbers.
Look into the players alive. the next 2 masons to claim will make it easier (plain sight, maybe) for scum to find the other power roles.

Wow, okay. I'm actually inclined to believe pcm because of his first post mentioning his ability. Where he asks about what the mafia would know about the mason's alignments.
Also, Martin gets "foe" for his reading, which can mean multiple factions.
Interesting bit to consider.
At least somebody believes me. It's a bit too late, unless you are the governor, but thanks anyway. That is very interesting about ML's readings, I had forgotten that little oddity. Could explain it. What I was wondering specifically was the mechanics of mafia, basically. Does the mafia get a list of townies or do they just take who isn't mafia and assume?

Oh, and no chance of that last bit. Even if the governor doesn't save me, which he probably won't, I am not going to sink to that. Call it not helping the town if you will, but this game basically runs off the honor system and I'm not going to sully that.

The mafia just gets to talk to each other, who you don't talk to, is not on your team (scum, neutral, w/e). You also mentioned something about D1 (in-game) ... this is interesting as we did start on a day, not a night (which is typical).

Okay, that's what I thought :p
Just checking! Don't want to ruin the honor system

@Pyro: There are 2 more masons and like 12 people left, so there was a 15% chance pcm was one of them. I still don't see what your problem is.

I have a question I'm not sure you can answer, but hopefully you will to the best of your ability.
If you're getting snippets of conversation or whatever does that mean you get names? Who said what? or is it just the words you overhear themselves? (less useful than both, obvi).
If you know who said what then it would be amazing if you could just agree to that. Would give us a huge lead on who is not-town by following your suspicions on earlier days. . .

I get no names, just words. It means I've been doing my best Columbo the whole game trying to figure out who said what, and it has actually given me several good scum suspects. I have voiced my suspicions in game, so looking at those that I have called out, save for Solar Ice, would be pretty revealing. Sadly, I didn't always voice those concerns as loud as I hindsight says I should have, so you may look for those that I said were scummy in my mind. Maybe somebody that the cop turned a result on, but not a conclusive result. Maybe somebody who you (pharphy) voted for earlier in the game. Twice. To make sure.

@Moar: Wait your turn, I have to be martyred first!

I feel a little bad that you got locked so quickly. I would be interested to have a look at who hammered in the lock, becuase one normally leaves people at L-1 to give them a chance to respond to accusations. I am not saying I trust you, but your role claim is a lot more believable now.

This. It is fairly easy to claim affiliation with a dead person as it is your word against theirs (and they can't speak). Still, based on your play I am inclined to believe you.

Did you get a reading last night when jcakes targeted you?

If he is pro-town he should have.

@Pman: put a vote down on someone you suspect, atleast that gives us something without breaking the rules.

@PCM
You are locke. What I ask if it you could confirm the other two masons as town as well. Seeing that you confirmed the claimed masons as town.

Maybe somebody that the cop turned a result on, but not a conclusive result.
This I can take two ways:
You point at me - but I have had three conclusive results.
You point to Sath - Cop was dead before he could tell us any results.

I'll look into your other 'hints' as this one is lost on me.

Mal it is.
(I haven't looked at my votes but I think there have been surprisingly few of them)
or Noodle, but he hasn't been investigated.

Just to confirm, ML. It's "friend" or "foe" you get, right? i'm trying to think of how friend can not represent a town player, but I'm just going to have to assume that neutral is friend by investigation? I don't know. . .
