How to do pidleskin runs

How to do it ?
If i want to run pidleskin can i kill nihlathak? If i kill him i have only the option to get to pidleskin from the waypoint inside nihlathaks hideout?

i want to run Baal and pidleskin simoultaneously

Re: How to do pidleskin runs

If you want to run Pindle and Baal, I wouldn't even mess with Nihlathak. I'm not sure but I think the portal closes if you pick up the Halls of Pain wp. Nihlathak has nothing to do with Baal anyways, just take out the Ancients to get to WSK.

Re: How to do pidleskin runs

Best not to kill nihlathak, so the red portal will remain in act 5 and allow ~30 second pindle running.

nihlathak quest is not required to move on, so skip it and head to the ancients quest. Then you can run baal and pindle without issue.

Re: How to do pidleskin runs

Most people don't bother with completing the Nihlathak quest. If the quest isn't completed the portal next to Anya will stay open.

The alternative if you want to finish the Nihl. quest is to NOT collect the Halls of Pain waypoint. The portal will also stay open if you haven't collected the waypoint.

If you collect the waypoint AND kill Nihlathak, the portal will be permanently closed.

Re: How to do pidleskin runs

If you kill Nihlathak, you can still do pindle. Just killing him gives you the "Personalize" quest. On your way to killing him though, do not pick up the WP or the portal will close.

Re: How to do pidleskin runs

I never touch the "halls of Pain" portal with my Necromancer. I find Pindle runs to be milk runs for a Summonancer. Have your Army. And, your spell set to casting Bone Warrior just before stepping through the red portal. the split second you step through. Cast BW summons on the zombies on the ground as quickly as you can. You can wipe out about half of them beforehand.

once the outer area is cleared. Send in golem followed by your crew to finish off Pindle. Close off with Bonewall and cast curse of choice and revives as needed. Works perfectly as long as you can use the red portal.

Bowazon is good to. Step to the right next to brush after entering portal. Cast Decoy and Valk out a good ways.(Takes practice. It's an art, not a science) Then blast away with Freezing arrow and recast Decoy as needed.

Then cast decoy/Valk in with Pindle crew followed by more Freezing arrows.

Hmm. I recall that Assassin has a trap that destroys dead bodies similar to CE. Wonder if she could do something similar to my Necros Summon tactic on them?? That could be an interesting experiment.

IIRC, the undead in Pindle's garden always spawn CI on Hell difficulty. The way I run Pindle is by getting to him really fast before the guys in the garden wake up. This, though, might get tricky if Pindi himself spawns CI, it takes more time to kill him, which means you have to watch your back for the undead in the garden. Usually a well placed decoy takes care of that.

As several have said above, you can complete the quest and keep the portal open as long as you do not collect the WP in his temple.

Bone Warrior? Is that raise skeleton? I always hit Pindle with my Fishymancer - and I raise my army with the corpses in his garden. I usually get most of my skellies and perhaps a skeleton mage or two before they all wake up. My army quickly disposes of them, and I either raise the rest of my army (mages) with the corpse, or just go get Pindle (teleport in with a staff that has charges [on weapon switch]).

Re: How to do pidleskin runs

Good information. I remembered something like that, but I wasn't sure which waypoint was involved. Luckily, I never found the Halls of Pain waypoint in my current game, so the portal wasn't closed.

I just finished the Nihlathak quest in Normal difficulty with my summoner/fire druid. Pindleskin gave me a Kuko Shakaku Cedar Bow. A pretty neat item on my lvl 35 druid.

Re: How to do pidleskin runs

I usually complete the quest in both normal and nightmare as it's not really worth farming him in those difficulties. I leave both the quest and wp in hell though just in case!

Kakashi Hatake! What coincidence. I was just thinking of Naruto and all the summon animals and how it compares to those of the druid ;).

Re: How to do pidleskin runs

Unless you need to use the bodies in the garden, necro skellies, or play a sorcie, buy a staff with tele charges and tele straight to pindle, takes 2. Kill him and his boys quick, grab what you want, save and exit. Repeat. A run should be 30 - 40 sec. Clearing the garden takes too much time.
