Is anyone attempting to do this on bnet? If so, what would the rules be, e.g. no rushing or trading?

I highly doubt it, its a SP tournament so you have to work through the quests by yourself, no muling on would imply no trading as well.

This would be harder on Bnet due to lag as well, I don't see the point in doing this type of character online either.

Hello there

I think this will be interesting, so I have started Shard, who at 14th level and 94 dexterity has just found the Dark Wood waypoint. I thought I was moving slowly, but after adding her to the table (hope this works), it seems to be just as fast as others. So far it has seemed very safe. I have not played that much and have never invested in max block, but it seems to work very well so far.

I don't have internet at home right now so I can't do a proper update, but I'm still in early Act 1 with no problems so far, coincidentally I also found an Arctic Furs. I was just wondering what everyone's builds are? I'm going for a Max Block (of course) LF Javazon.

Well I found some more time to play tonight and managed to finish act 1. The battle with Andy was a little scary when she ignored my merc and started chasing me, but I survived.

I'm glad to have a merc that will actually stand and tank now, but the fire archers are a bit hurty when they get me. I have a feeling that level 19-24 is going to be rather slow and crappy. I can't wait to get my Decoy!

No NDE's so far though, and no usefull finds since my 2x Arctics.

So far I've been having a blast playing her, lots of stratigy and paying attention involved!

Just killed Andy - luckily she didn't use her poison spray once. Only interesting drop I've had so far is bloodfists. Now I'm looking forward to getting the cube to sort out gems and runes etc.

Ran the countess 5 or 6 times and she dropped the runes I wanted so I've moved on with Stealth and Nadir ready for when I need them.

How many people are actually using bows by the way?

im using a strafe bow on swich (hopefuly with a ctc or hit cause monster to flee) and kockback. and for my main attack im using something off the jav tree(not sure what yet) and a good blocking sheild. now everyone knows my set up you can all steel it and use it yourselfs

Actually dave, I think most people will use a combination of the trees. I won't reveal my plan (yet) but hopefully it will let me get trough the game as intended.
I did play a bit yesterday, but don't remember the stats. Somewhere around 65 dex orso.

Well if we're all giving away our tactics. I might as well reveil a bit of mine too:

I planned from the beginning on to use javs and bows together without one being main. The best cold arrow combined with LF is probably the thing I will do, btu I'm nto sure yet. Strength is not the most annoying thing I have noticed. It's more the lack fo life that makes life dangerous.

strafe scares me too much to use it due to even in act3/4 norm one/two hits is death and its leaves you stuck in one place for far too long but maybe i just really suck with it

this thread has a brief discussion about skills to use. A lot of contradicting ideas so far though.

I think I'm going Poison Jav's with a point in Freezing Arrow for stopping monsters that are chasing me in an emergency.

If/When (yeah right!) PI's become a problem I will have to chose between pushing Freezing Arrow or LF a bit so it can kill.

Thats my plan, copy it if you want however I'm quite certain its probably not the right route to take.... its just the route I'm taking.
