That's a perfectly valid answer. She has zero knowledge of the game. Why does this matter?
Zero is not between 1 and 10. It was a silly retort by me.

That's very coy. The mods have made it clear that the FF game is flavor only. If you are fishing for all kinds of game info then you either have an advantage over Leo and I (and anyone else unfamiliar with the game) or you think you do. Either way, it doesn't feel right to me.
Logoutzero and I are hosting this game. It will be themed around the Final Fantasy Tactics (specifically the job system that is present in several games). To keep this game from being too lore-heavy, jobs will NOT be representative of alignment.
ex/ black mages use black magic but that doesn't equate to being mafia
I figured I should set up this signup thread while the current game is running. Tentative start time is in 2 weeks, with an exact date we'll decide later, depending on signups and the current game.
We're hoping for 20-22 players but we can adjust for any number above or below that.
General info about mafia
List of sample FFT jobs, some more FFTA jobs and finally some FF5 jobs for some simple but applicable background information. If you've never played any of these games I encourage scrolling through the lists just to give you an idea of the jobs that are available. There is a lot of overlap so it won't take long
I think he's up to something. His claim seems too convenient. You, BPC, Pyro, and BA are all arguing over him, so depending on how he flips we could go back and potentially glean some insight into one or more of you. And most likely the only way we can get that info is if we lynch him. I imagine a mafia hit would keep it secret, as may a vigi kill (not sure). He may also be a VI / Tree Stump, so lynching him would just mean he wins too at the end.Care to expand on the bolded?
That is really suspicious, that's why I asked too. It seems to me like he is seeing who he can most easily deceive. That's very coy. The mods have made it clear that the FF game is flavor only. This big post to me boils down to the bolded part to which I reply: Why kill a town anything?Getting serious now, this is starting to get serious. Zokar has really created a firestorm, eh?
I guess if he is vanilla, it *would* be better him die than a town power role, but if that's the case it makes his claim seem a bold bid for no one to kill him. Town would be reluctant to lynch him, vigilantes would be scared to shoot him (I mean, come on, "shoot me" is not a natural thing for a defenseless person to say, right?), and mafia would be scared to nk him for the same reason, or if they believed his claim would try to kill other people in hopes of killing a PR. It all seems a little too perfect of a defense to me.
I have a hard time following the "this is the best scenario for the town." "NO! *This* is the best scenario for the town!" stuff. I was already getting bad vibes from Pyro before this latest back and forth with BA and Gory. Really, all 3 of you are giving me bad vibes. To me, Zokar's claim seems so unnecessary and *convenient* that he must be up to something. I don't take it as just being silly. I'm thinking we should lynch him because depending how he turns, we could gain some insight into the motives of the arguing parties. If he is telling the truth and is town, I guess it may reflect badly on me as well, but omelets and broken eggs and all that. I'll place a vote to put him on the list:

SIGN UP THREADS SHOULD NOT MATTER TO A GAME THREAD!! Quoting from them is a scum move in my eyes. I personally quit reading a sign up thread the minute I sign up and verify I'm on the list. OT spam doesn't interest me. Anything that is important to THIS GAME should be in THIS THREAD.I disagree that the FF references are flavor only:
Jobs aren't indicative of alignment but they are still apart of the lore and the game. What I got from Phar's explanation was that jobs aren't indicative of alignment, but could be indicative of ability, which could very well be indicative of alignment.I can't figure out how to quote from the sign up thread. However, pharphis said:

Ipso facto, the game is primarily flavor, and whether or not someone's knowledge of the game extends past speed reading the Wiki should be irrelevant. Yet you are very focused on it. QED etc. My vote stands.
Selecting rhetoric from other posts and nitpicking an answer for the sake of pinpointing attention seems unnecessarily antagonizing, even for you. This seems a more aggressive version of your normal style, which makes me think you are changing strategy from last game's lurker approach.Zero is not between 1 and 10. It was a silly retort by me.

Preferably, we shouldn't kill a town anything, but I was just acknowledging some merit to what Bad Ash said here...This big post to me boils down to the bolded part to which I reply: Why kill a town anything?
...about Bipolar's questioning of Zokar. (My takeaway is that if mafia is gonna kill a townie, better a vanilla than a PR. Sounds reasonable enough.) Following that up though are some of my doubts about Zokar's claim and the more I think about it, the worse I feel about Zokar. Way too much WIFOM. At this point, I don't really think Zokar is town, the unprovoked claim just pings my radar hard. Even taking it at face value, it sounds like someone who wants to check out at the earliest possible convenience. Has he even posted since that?Mainly vanillas being vanilla. You should know more than anyone that the best a vanilla can do is get nked. Job well done by them. So why remove the wine from Zokar post? One less person to focus on (if there is any truth to it that is).
I also admitted as much asking for thought and arguments. And cheese cake. I'm operating a bit more on right-brain right now, for day 1 there isn't much else to go on. BA seems to be indirectly defending him, so if Zokar did flip scum, that would look bad on him. If he is town, especially if he's more than what he says, it could look bad on BPC. Trying to dig into a town PR does seem a bit scummy. I'm not sure either would say much about you or Pyro since you are more arguing about the argument than about Zokar.Hmmm. That's a non-answer answer. Who is town/scummy if Zokar flips town/scum? I don't think you've thought about it. Hell, you even admit as much with the "go back and potentially" comment. In short, your reasoning for lynching Zokar today is so we can read about it and possibly, maybe, do something with that info tomorrow. Or not.
Nahh, IDTS. The lack of day kill powers does not immediately constitute the presence of night kill powers. So you have night kill powers? Sounds like confirmation to me.
Is there an announcement when the day ends?
The conclusion jumping to is strong in this one. Pyro and BA sitting in a tree...
Google! And WIFOM is as WIFOM does. Are you hoping I confirm/deny any WIFOMing?
Is that an admission that you intentionally changed your posting style this game?
Getting serious now, this is starting to get serious. Zokar has really created a firestorm, eh?

Question: What alignment do you typically see a busdriver?

Considering how late it is already and our lack of information, a no-lynch may be in our best interests.
I think with how little information we have, it may be better to wait for more, but the case against Ash is pretty decent right now. If we do want to go for a lynch, I'll put a vote out, but for now I shall remain voteless.I don't think that is really the best idea. Even with little information, we should try to lynch people we feel is scummy, as that gives us more info that can be used for town investigative roles to base night actions on.
