Everyone go bot hunting

The bot was waiting for me at the wp casting hammers. ><! took my gold and then resumed to mf.
Got my revenge though.
 
OMG this is so fun. Making mils. What a great way to pass time. Whats the best gold drop u guys have gotten. Mine is about 200k

There isn't. Dudes came in and killed my bot before I could. I'm using a hammerdin but I can't compete with a decked out infinity sorc.

I really like these bots.

I needed some gold to revive my mercenary, killed 2-3. 500k For a few minutes of killing.

I was just about to mention that ...

I don't know if it's anyone here, but can't we agree that if someone else is already in the game, you say your polite hello and move on to the next game? Jumping someone else's claim and killing the bot when they're already there is about as polite as joining an "Act 1 all quests" game, not partying up, and then killing all the bosses before anyone else gets to them.



 
You guys are crazy. Don't kill them , steal their drops. I got a dol rune 2nd game of bothunting. Build a char with heaps of life and can stand around stealing the drops. Muhahahhaaha

PS: i dibs the character build name Botthief.

i travel with them till shenk, and kill them there, this way i get the drops from trav and edritch, and the gold bonus from the bot.

I've recently adopted jwmoore's approach (http://www.purediablo.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5831264&postcount=191). That way I get the drops, but I don't need to compete with the bot's pickit speed to get them.

The disadvantage is that since I'm not killing him until he gets to Harrogath, it gives these jerkoffs who jump into "my" games plenty of time to catch him in Travincal to steal "my" gold.

It seems there were some folks killing bots before this thread was started and some of them have taken offense. I've been pk'd several times in games that I joined that only had the bot and me in it to start out. No big deal, its only gold tho' I suppose I could get mad if I didn't take the attitude that its just a game.

If I join a game that didn't already show someone else there, I usually do say "Hello" or maybe "LOL" then move on, but sometimes I'll go kill the Countess and grab the runes because these guys haven't done the quest and some decent runes drop that can be cubed into something better. Usually, I just move on since its just a game and its more polite to do that.

Side note: can someone get me travincal wp? that way I can kill them fast rather than wait for them at frigid wp.
 
I like running the countess too since the havent done the quest. And when i join a game with someone else i go to pindle and kill him, then eld...if they are there i will just leave. And yeah there were people doing this before the thread, but i have yet to join a game and get hostiled. I have been in a game and been hostiled by a new player joining. Posted about this a few pages back, long story short, they tried to get to the frigid wp. There must have been a problem with the wp wiring system because there was a lot of electricity arcing all over the wp that day, poor person kept on dying.

They probably need to tweak their DHD to take into account planetary drift. There are some "n00bs" out there still using older ones to travel. :tongue:



 
soooooo, has anyone gotten an anni from the bots yet? I just did. The clone killed the bot...i killed the clone! Sweet! That is all I have to say about that. I have gotten several million in gold and a Stormshield Monarch plus a couple of worthwhile sc's. This is really getting profitable. OH, the anni was 13/19/5 Not shabby for the first one. Happy Hunting!

I like to kill them ASAP, then kill council, sheck etc myself. I notice a few quests they haven't done, nihl etc, reckon they've killed Baal?



 
Join a game with a char that hasnt killed baal and find out, but i honestly doubt it (not a quest worth completing).

As far identifying each other by listing acct names here is prob not the best idea. Wouldnt be much trouble to remember 4 or 5 names, but if it got to be 30 and 40 its not like im going to remember everyone. Ive found it much easier to type d2net? and its either a yes or no/huh/wtf? If its a yes i just move on, or go afk so someone gets 3 player drops. Any other response ill run to kill what i can as fast as i can, starting with pindle.

But until the list gets out of hand...
