Etdlahq Memorial Bar - your shelter from forum crashes

Dacar92: Well, welcome back! I hope your trip to Taiwan was at least interesting in some respects. I like Morrowind, though it is a VERY difficult game for me to work through (due partly to the 3d graphics and how they affect me). Haven't played much Diablo recently, either...more and more time is being devoted to Morrowind, though I'm not sure if I'll be finishing the game. Chances are, I could spend forever doing the side-quests and just have a blast. :D I do wish the folks at the Mages Guild weren't quite so...oh, I don't know...less-than-civil is a polite way to put it. *shrugs*

LowLander: Congratulations on Conqueror! :D Are you going to try to take her to Guardian? If so, you have all my best wishes--not something I'm ballsy enough to do.

Well, I'm going to grab a recap of my pomegranate juice, then go back to my corner to talk Morrowind with Dacar.

TwoPaws,
Shalakshmiyin

Barkeep, give me a pint of Guinness and two cents of that lovely Port Ellen, I really need those.

Trashed hard disk. :grrr:

Fortunately my DII characters and my grail were not trashed, so I got them safe before formatting the drive and installing the os.

On top of that my flu wont let go. Head half full of snot and sleeping very hard. Why can't I get nice temperature to get over with the viral infection. Fingers crossed that no bacteria settles in.

LoD won't be installled until later this monday evening, so practising my sokobans when not installing software.

Yours: Topi

*strolls in muttering extremely unpleasant things about Microsoft and viruses*

The Blaster virus is remarkably resilient... my shiny new computer just got infected with the accursed thing (dial-up = updating bad), so tonight will be spent downloading and installing updates for XP and Norton Antivirus. Bah...

Congratulations to all those who've achieved noteworthy accomplishments of late, and sorry for not congratulating them individually - so I'll raise a toast to you all :drink:

Now, if you'll excuse me, there's a virus I must exterminate.

*draws sword, slams visor on helmet down, walks into doorpost, shakes head, then departs with a great clanking noise*

*Follows Shade out, oiling all the squeekiness.*

*Re-enters with an oil can cleaved in two*

Nothing for me barkeep, I've got work to do.

*thumps Spanish-English dictionary on the table and starts muttering to himself in Spanish*

::Strolls in with a smile::

Spring break is over, and that means I'm back to playing D2. Barkeep, in celebration, mix me up a White Russian. Damn those things were good last week at my buddies apartment.

::drinks, salutes the alcoholics of the SPF, and leaves::

I'm so freaking sick, I don't even feel like palying D2 much :(. Today is the last day of spring break but I have a strange (sick) feeling that I won't make it to school tomorrow. At least the chemistry test went down befor break so I ain't gotta worry about that. What kind of stufff would you drink if you're sick? I think I'll go for a nice hot green tea bartender.
*COUGH COUGH HACK COUGH COUGH pass out*

For goodness sake man, wake up!

*pours water on ChaosEternal*

Whoa... all this life saving makes me want a drink. Rum and Coke barkeep! :drink:

GAH! Curse you for breathin' you....
Oh, wow thanks man, that was a bad one.
*COUGH COUGH COUGH*
Someone.....Please.....Cough...Drop...*Sigh......*

I will continue with her untill she kicks the bucket, but boy it's tough now. Upto-and-including Blood Raven everything was going quite nice, Raven was green with envy of my bow (pun intended), but when I hit the Crypt:

-PI LE zombie with Decrappify. Merc died in bloody seconds. Dangerous, and with my suicidal sidekicks expensive in money and mana. Took him forever to choke on Venom, with us running and hiding behind doorways.
-PI extra strong teleport <fill out other nastiness> second zombie. Less dangerous *boring*.
-Third PI zombie. Annoying bastards. Decrep as well on this one!

I think the crypt must have taken at least twenty minutes, and all of that for some crappy magic items. And no exp. to boast of...

I think I'll do some bloody foothills for exp. with my best MF stuff on. It should be around 100% or so. Maybe something gives, while Katana gains from 66 to 70 or so.

*Goes off mumbling about Viperthingies, waterwalkses, six-socketed bows and other assorted ITAMZ*

Hi there, SP. Good to see you over here, mate. Have another one on me. :drink:

ChaosEternal, that sounds bad - you should see someone about it. I was going to recommend a Guinness, but perhaps the VodkaOrange sans vodka would be better.

*Walks in very slowly*

Soccer night tonight. Of course, half the team is absent so no subs. Playing D2 really doesn't help me in these situations. My legs are so tired they hurt.

*Orders a margarita with Patron Anejo tequila, on the rocks*

This should make all that pain go away.

LL, congrats. All my HCL characters are still in norm but I my pally should turn Destroyer soon.

CE, take care of that. Rest, fluids, all that stuff. You know the drill.

Shade, be careful with those viruses. FTR, I don't think it's hackers. I think Windows actually breeds them internally.

Cheers one and all. :drink:
(remarkably Guinnessy-looking margarita, don't you think?)

*takes a seat in the corner where he can stretch his legs*

I stayed at home today.

The Netherlands sent off a remarkable person today, and I felt needed to take some personal time for this.

Juliana, queen of the Netherlands (Untill she abdicated in favour of her daughter, current queen Beatrix.) was a much-beloved queen, with a very real and social interest in her people.

She was a red-cross emissary, survivor of WW2, great part of the recovery thereof, queen of and for the people. Her death marks the end of an era, the final notes to be written by her husband Bernard.

The nation waved her goodbye in a grand way: Her funeral coach, pulled by eight magnificient Friesian horses (the most beautiful working horses in existance), accompanied by a small military unit left from the The Hague palace Noordeinde, (where she was born) and after a considerable march reached the royal burial chambers in Delft.

She was accompanied by all of her family, despite some recent internal quabbles. The route was packed with people wishing her a good yourney beyond the grave.

May she rest in peace.

I just wanted to share this. Juliana will remain the queen of the Netherlands to most who were alive during her reign (like me).

Thanks for reading my rambling. Have a commemorative drink on Juliana.

*raises her glass in honor of Queen Juliana*

May she rest well, indeed. *drinks*

Been playing more Morrowind than D2 lately, but that's mostly because I'm too lazy to switch out the CD's. Will probably go back to D2 when I'm in the mood to play something I don't have to take a break from every hour or so.

Barkeep: A cold beer, please!

I have played MW for quite a time now. I have a decent enough character who does decent damage. I am trying to get through the main quests before I get carried away in the side quests and the two expansions.

I love walking through the countryside in this game. There are relaxing times where you aren't attacked by some monster or another and you can just walk and admire the countryside, or find some half naked guy who wants you to find his shirt or something.

I haven't joined the Mages guild, although I think, their demeaner is the same as the other guilds. I did steal some items from them without getting caught, in Balmora! I did join the Fighters guild, though.

As for Taiwan, it is difficult to be without ones family for 10 days at a time. But anything for the job, right? It's one thing going to another city for a time, but going 14 hours on a plane from Los Angeles, is hard. I do know how to order beer, though (in Chinese). A saving grace if there ever was one.

Nice Eulogy, LowLander. I'll drink to that. :drink:

I was happy with some progress last night, as I took my 3-way tourney amazon down to kill Nihlathak, and she managed it without too much trouble - just had to ressurect my merc once.

I also had my newest character - the skillz tourney barbarian go out and kill Blood Raven, so it was all good.

Not much more time for D2 before the weekend, however.

Damn, I'm busy at the moment. Work and a few others things have kept me away far a while. I still have to come here for a respite though.

Looks like everyone else is busy too, so I'll have to limit myself to a quiet Guinness. :drink:
