Etdlahq Memorial Bar - your shelter from forum crashes

*whips up a Shalak Special for LowLander*

Here ya go, friend. Terribly sorry it's so late. Was a little preoccupied.

Araknis: *tosses over seven steaks* Sure, I'm game for a Hellsteak lunch. The other six are for whoever wants 'em...unless my appetite gets the better of me. :p

An Arrowless Bowazon? That's got to be a mana vaccum, at the opener. Good luck with her.

In any event, must run.

TwoPaws,
Shalakshmiyin

Shalakshmiyin: Yes it was a mana vacuum at first. I kept my Javalin that I started with to use when I ran out of mana. I think I dropped it when I got MA to level 10. Right now she has made it to NM and is doing quite well. It was quite tough at times because of the lack of an area affect skill.

BarKeep a round for everyone! To celebrate getting to NM. Make mine a rum and coke.

Cheers! :drink:

*walks into bar for first time - sits down at stool*

Barkeep, I need something hard!

*barkeep mixes raspberry commie*

*slams said drink :drink: *

*bangs head on bar*

*stands up, spins around*

*sits down, bangs head on bar*

I'll have another.... :drink:

*blinks*

Wow...it's kind of quiet in here. Not that it's inherently bad...just silent.

*looks over at Muffassa's prone form*

Ehm...I'll just take a pomegranate juice for now, there, Barkeep. Not a whole lot of Diablo lately, as I've started taking up Japanese studies. Not entirely sure I like the program setup, but at least I already have a smattering of the basics down, so I can maneuver around the current setup. Also discovered I was missing the fourth CD after I brought it home, but it's not a vital CD. All the same, we'll probably be heading to Best Buy to pick up another one. *sigh*

Well, barring unforseen circumstances, I'm off to take one of my characters out.

TwoPaws,
Shalakshmiyin

*comes in muttering about food stealers and random thugs*

why people steal food and clothes i cant understand.

:grrr:

found nothing good at the MFO and still waiting for the result of my pm

so a xider without cactus please i need to empty my brain with some endless runs and some soldat 1.2

*hands L_W a cider sans cactus* Here ya go, buddy. Enjoy. :D

Bows are interesting things...so are spears, now that it comes to that. Been taking a break to keep up with my Japanese studies and whatnot (replaced the one we got with a copy that had all four CD's), but will be playing tonight.

As a matter of fact, again barring unforseen circumstances, I think I'll do just that.

TwoPaws,
Shalakshmiyin

Hi all. It feels like too long since I was last in here, but it hasn't even been a week. Oh, well. I'll just have to get myself a Guinness then. :drink:

On another note, this is my 1000th post here. Something I never thought I would do. I did consider making a separate thread, but I realised I would prefer to keep it here, where most of the people I'm particularly fond of (that are still here) would read it anyway.

What do you say in a 1000th post? I'll use it to say thanks to those forum members past & present who have made this place as good as it is now. You have certainly given me a lot of enjoyment over the last few years, not to mention how much my D2 experience has improved. To those that have moved on, thanks - the continuation of this forum is your legacy, and it is a great one. To those who are still here - let's keep it going, and continue this forum as one of the best ever. :buddies:

So for now, all drinks are on me. :drink:

Thanks for the coffee, Shalak. Mondaymorning, so I need it badly.

Katana is still alive, to my surprise. Going very slowly, both due to me playing only a little, and her not doing much damage. Jeez, it's so bad even a 1-29 Lightning damage charm made noticable difference.

Anyhow, she can hit the palace cellars now. Wondering what's gonna happen there. Or maybe do some NM countess runs for runes. I could use some Tals for a bow and an Amn or two for crafting.

Finally found some decent bows for poison damage: 4-socket repeating x-bows, two of them, just yards apart. At least they give me "fast attack" speed.

Well, TTYL, back to work....

barkeep a dozen xider without cactus and make is asp

i hate my ability to refuse to sleep:rant:

anyway starting to get storms new merc up and running.

cant twink storm more so now i can concentrate on fixing the merc

nice post mage.

the day i cheer for my post count is way in the past of dead forums.

Comes in, white and shaken

Bartender, I need a strong drink now, and keep them coming. :scared:

In hell my sorc ran into a FE LE CE flayer shamen boss - I nervously held back while merc tanked - breathed sigh of relief when boss died - but then merc wandered off while the little flayer under the shamen, who was now also FE LE CE, charged my sorc NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

don't know how I escaped that one, barely teleporting in time and then blindly casting fireballs...

Another drink, and hurry please

slowpoke

Mage11: *raises her glass of pomegranate juice* And here's to many more. :D

L_W: *hands you a tray full of ciders, all sans cactus. Help yourself, page me when you need refills. Good luck with Storm...who's (s)he?

Slowpoke: *sets a glass of your chosen beverage in front of you* Enjoy. Keep me posted for refills. Haven't run into an FECELE before, but I know they're out there. Congrats on making it in time! Must not have been an easy task. *gives you a backrub* You're safe now...don't worry about it.

As for me...just got Cailleach to the Canyon. Ever since, she's been leveling both herself and her merc (she's 21, he's but a simple 17). I would not be here at the moment, were it not for MSN messenger pulling an autologon and disrupting me in the middle of combat in the Arcane Sanctuary. Thankfully, I'd already killed the Summoner, and my merc was tanking, but I am still quite angry at my messenger service. All the same, I hopped back in game, finished the wing, then closed it. No sense being further interrupted by messages. Will run more later.

TwoPaws,
Shalakshmiyin

FE CE LE - what a combination! Have a stiff :drink: or two to help get over that one. Great to hear that you survived it though.

I'm glad that I don't have to worry about having a messenger service interrupt my game play (only dial up at home), as I would probably have it come in the middle of a big fight with one of my HC characters - instant doom.

Still, I did manage to play a little bit last night, and Sarah's now moved into Travincal. She's getting herself prepared for the big fight with the council, but it probably won't be until tomorrow.

Cheers all. :drink:

thanks stormwolf

storm is a old avenger of mine that i decided to take back into service

currently im leveling his new merc to make sure he works better then before.

i have also twinked him to the extreme levels

95% res all, 75% block, nothing in the game thats immune to any of his attacks

his level 26 conviction aura lowers monsters def with 93% and their res with 150% add to that his extreme powerful vengenze and you have the char.

he also have 20% lightning absorb and a flat +20 lightning absorb for when he goes out and hunt glooms.

and with res lightning one he has 351% res lightning with means he is the best char i have for killing conviction glooms

because even with their puny aura i stop at more then 95% res lightning:worship:

Hmm, I really need a drink...

As some of you propably noticed in the daily thread couple days back, I got fired from my job last thursday, so now I have basically nothing to do in my spare time, when I'm not job hunting that is... On top of that, it's now officially the 4th week in a row that I'm running on fever :(

So, since couple of weeks ago I redid my whole system, changed OS to Windows 2000 Pro SP4, I finally got some games installed, still didn't feel like playing D2 at all, so I started playing NHL2004. Damn my hands hurt for the 8 hour session I did last night (yea, didn't sleep at all...again).

Along with that I made some setup changes with the DC++ hub I'm running, chatted with a real old buddy of mine from my b.net days (from the guild FO), man there was some catching up to do, 3 years since I last saw him :)

Anyway, not really sure what I'm ranting about so I guess I should propably try and get some sleep even though I think I've long passed the point of being too tired to sleep once more...will see if this turns into one of those 3-4 days up in a row without any sleep...

Kind of funny though, now when I have the sparetime to do whatever I want to do, I do it at night time when I should be sleeping...

*grabs borlag and stuff him in bed with a endless supply of chicked soup*

get better asp and tryto find a way to get back to a normal day rythm(thats hard i know)

hope you find a new job soon

I hope you get better quickly, Borlag. Also, I think you need something hard for losing your job. :buddies:

As for me, I will take water.

Here, have a Guinness or three. :drink: Guaranteed to cure just about anything (specialises in hangovers).

Damn, Borlag, sounds like a rough patch. I must admit that I tend to get sick if I go too long with too little sleep, so perhaps the best thing for you would be to catch up on all that sleep you're missing.

Personally, I think you've just got a simple case of D2 withdrawal. Go kill off Pindle a few times & see if you're feeling better.

I hope you get better soon.

*gives L_W a glass of grape-pomegranate juice*

Just for while you're working on the test...should better concentration, and the antioxidants should help you keep a clear head. After that, rest assured that you may resume your usual lineup of ciders, all sans cactus (as ordered).

Borlag: Sorry to hear about it, man. As for the fever and insomnia...I really couldn't tell you. I've always heard it to be "feed a cold, starve a fever", but perhaps my lore is incorrect? Have you seen a doctor about this? If it's been going for two weeks, you should. Then again, not having money sounds like about a good a reason as any, if you haven't. Here's also to hoping you can find another job. Firing sucks, no matter how you look at it.

Ehm...right. I'll take a pomegranate juice, m'self. Will be running Cailleach for a few more levels, then facing the Big Bad Bug. Any tips with a Spearazon, short of spamming Decoy because my life depends on it?
