Etdlahq Memorial Bar - your shelter from forum crashes

@kamap Thanks; there was a playground right behind me so some of the benches were pointed that way. The view of Lake Huron was much nicer though! I was on childcare duty while my wife did laundry prior to us packing up and heading further north for a few days.

Corax - Ouch, and sorry to hear that.

Nice coastal/beach photo. Looks warm and inviting. Something we're missing during our winter, but we've still had some good sunshine today.

One more unsolicited vacation photo, this time from South Bay, Lake Superior:

We're having incredibly nice weather, so this trip has been fantastic. Even my wife breaking her toe last night hasn't put too much of a damper on things!

Yep, good weather up there. Hot down here in NE Ohio....

The PoGo minibar is now also open for Harry Potter discussion.

This winter hasn't been that cold to be honest, so far. Cool mornings, but warm sun during the day. Enough to wear a jumper and thermals, but if you're active outside in the sun, you'll want to take a few layers off. There's been a few people around our local beaches.

With a 27°c temperature if I'm not mistaken.
@jonnyphive: How is the toe and how is the thing that broke it?
@djmbbandie: Harry potter books are a good read if you don't think too hard about all the plot holes and illogical turn of events and how dumb voldemort must really be.
JK rowling on the other hand is becomming more and more obnoxious, at least thats my take on her.
I do read a whole lot of HP fanfic though and the plot holeds get plugged but others open up again and other illogical things happen there as well. There are only a handful stories that are really good and don't have those problems.

Games Done Quick marathon is currently on, and Diablo 2 streams in 1 hour 15 minutes from time of posting. Run by MrLlamaSC as usual, as Necro or Pally through Normal difficulty.

Followed by Quake, then Half Life + Half Life 2.

Kestegs is around here and everyone is younger then him no matter if they call themselves old or not.
He has served drinks before and nothing went wrong so I guess its all ok.

@Drystan that sounds pretty nice - much better than our winters here. People from Michigan have a reputation down in Florida: if you see someone swimming in the ocean in central/north Florida during the winter (while the locals walk around in sweaters), you can usually assume it's someone from Michigan (or elsewhere in the Midwest) on vacation.

@kamap The toe is alright, very purple and swollen and incorrectly rotated, but not unbearable. She actually broke it going down a large metal slide while playing with the kids, catching the lip of the slide's edge at the bottom of the descent with her pinky toe and the full force of her body. Freak accident and looked very painful. The toe was so messed up looking that the doctor didn't even bother giving an x-ray to confirm.

Good to see a couple of old-timers showing up again. I've been on a break from gaming for a while; I got a possible pinched nerve in my neck and holding a mouse is very painful. Funny thing is I can type without a problem, use a tablet, Hell, I went fishing last week and I can tie on tackle and bait hooks, but hold a mouse? No chance! I'm having to use the mouse in my right hand, and that just sucks!!

"Old-timers"...huh... Well "Old" is in my name and Battlenet tag, too.

Pretty sure I'm the oldest player on the Battlenet DIII leaderboards...come to think of it, I'm no longer there. Buncha young whippersnappers started putting up hot times on the Greater Rift leaders and knocked me out of the top 1000.

The EMB is a lot like the Hotel California. You can check out any time you like but you can't really leave.

That being said, the credit card is no good. It's backed only by #ZuckerBucks.

Don’t worry, durf ‘s card is still here. We’re still using his.

The doctor says he wants to inject steroid into my spinal disc to see if that will bring down the swelling and release some of the pressure on my nerve; as it would only be a temporary fix, I'm not too keen. I'm going to take the physio option. On the plus side, I'm getting better at using a mouse in my right hand!

Well it makes sense that you are getting better at using it in your right hand if you were using the wrong hand to start with!
