Diablo II: The Movie... what characters would you choose?

Diablo II: The Movie... what characters would you choose?

If Blizzard were to make a Diablo II movie, what class/builds would you select as being the most representative of Diablo II? (Not too many or the movie would get confusing.)

For me:
Main characters: Whirly or Frenzy Barb and Metorb Sorc
Supporting: Fishymancer, Hammerdin, Strafeazon (multi-shot would look silly in a movie)
Cameos: Trapper/Kicksin hybrid, Zealot, Fury Druid... no LF-Zons as they would outshine the main characters!

If you want, you can also suggest actors, but that was already done in another thread a while back.
 
All I have to say is that if you put a Hammerdin or a Smiter in the movie then you should probably be strung up on a pole and beaten with a stick. A large, purple and orange stick. With yellow spikes.

IMO, the best main character would be a Barb, but I'd use a Throw/Frenzy barb. It'd just be so MEGA COOL to see him go to town on a group of evil bastard demons then turn around in classic cinema style and impale some random one with his axe.

...where is the :drool: smiley?

Putting a trapper into the movie would be boring, I think. She sets a mine. She waits. Something runs towards the mine. Mine shoots out crazy lightning and thing dies. Repeat.

Oh, and yeah, no Enigma please.
 
Main: the stereotypical sword-wielding hero. ie the Zealot paladin
Supporter: Frostmaiden, Bonemancer, WW barb
Cameos: Martial arts assassin, Wind druid, whatever paladin that uses FoH
 
My opinion would be that they have all the characters and then the characters use different skills. Not having the "builds". Would be boring to look at a hammerdin for 2 hours.
 
Eh? Builds in a movie? I think not.

Make a movie that's just 200 Baal runs, that'd be gripping. I suppose it couldn't be any worse than the usual treatment video game movies get...

Wouldnt they have to include spambots, scams and the general bnet population and poofing aswell?
Would be funny.

The main characters would be on a quest and while on their journey they meet a merchant called...

And want to add, you would have Dekard Cain as a Godfather type figure.

edit: And of course the movie can't be made untill the Govenor of California gets defeated.



 
i agree a depressed suidsidal paladin would be an awesome character (referance hitchhikers guide to the galaxy)
maybe a storyline about the last of the ninjas a young hwat ninja learning to fight the hammer and barb oppressors, she learns her ways from cain in the mountain hide out of the out casted frenzy and thrower barbs in act5 :azn:
then she travels to act1 and meets a band of rogue amazons and shapeshifters, taking part in an all out attack on the kinky Angelina Jolie as anderial... and then? i dont know some killing some stuff in act2 then she gets betrayed in act3 by a sorc and then finally in the firey fires of act4 she fights the evil hammerdins/ww barbs and necros then finally diablo almost getting killed by the LHoD but then makes a comeback and finally mortally wounds diablo only to find he is her father and he sent izzy back in time to protect and raise her on to have her taken from him by tyreal and passed to a band of barbarians that live in mangoail cresent and are hobbits :rolleyes:
 
no casting suggestions yet? how about connery as cain. :smiley:
 
Probably thought of many times before

Here is a sub plot. The party starts out with two zons, possibly sisters, a spearie and a bowzon. The spearie dies early on, then mysteriously reapears later on as a walking ghost that helps the heros with their qwest. We have a valkyrie.
 
Here's my take on it:

The "good guys", trying to stop whatever:
Frenzy Barb for crazy melee action
Old Elementalist Druid (have the guy use all the skills, better effects and it's a movie, you don't need to stay that strictly true to the game)
Hybrid Java/bowazon, that way you get another melee char that can also go ranged

The "bad guys", trying to do some bad thing:
Zealot: Yes, make him a corrupt pally.
Summon Necro with some pnb skills: Do I really have to explain this one?
Trapper /w some MA and SD skills mixed in--totally for special affects and melee action
Fire Sorc: No good movie with this sort of theme is complete without lots of fire being thrown around.

This way the heroes seem outmatched, but get to overcome all odds and all that junk. It practically writes itself.
 
iirc last time connery was suggested as cain everyone agreed that he would have kicked grizwalds *** before being captured in tristram
