Perfectly summarized, Galtrovan. But there is still a chance, that after this "beta testing" there will be released serious full-featured patch 1.13. I still hope for it.

Don't hold your breath. This is probably the last attention D2 will get for some time. Maybe, even after D3, they may do a very minor patch to address some serious bugs. But this was the end all patch, that was suppose to give the community there most requested content. As such, this ends as an epic-failure.

How is that nice? A maxed blood golem on a pure-golemancer still deals no significant damage (hell I dont even count it as insignificant damage or even damage at all!), it is a horrible tank since it dies after a few hits (having the lowest HP/def of all golems), and in fact its a waste of a minion. You have a lower-tier golem which is infinitely more useful in terms of tanking and assisting (slowdown), a higher tier golem that can take on the stats of any metal object used, and a final-tier golem that can absorb fire, take some damage, and attracts any and all monsters in the area to keep your caster safe.

I fail to see how that change is even worth the time spent to type "nice". It's a fricking insult to necromancer players. I dare blizzard to show me how that change scored on the "#1 patch note suggestions" given by blizzard players.

On the positive side, the removal of IM from PvM means we can all make high end IGs without worry about them dying.

What kind of skelemancer doesn't use Enigma? That build can be extremely frustrating without it.

And yes, go go barb domination. I quite look forward to taking my frenzy barb into CS without needing to use my 1 point berserk skill.

How did it buff WW barbs? Most of the barbs have life/mana small charms ( I got over 900 mana with 2 x ravens ). And only 10% more Deadly strike, you won't really notice it.

But seriously, the mana costs of WW was way too high. If you ever played a WW barb, you'd go nuts how much mana WW requires. It was really needed.

Im talking about classic - aka diablo without LOD. There are no charms in classic.
You can play a WW barb without drinking that much mana, even in classic. I never tried LOD, but I assume that a WW barb that does 5-10 times more damage than in classic could probably leech the mana anyway, so I kinda laugh at you having problems with 900mana when my base mana barbs do pretty ok.

Anyway, classic dueling will be seriously affected.



Wonder if the werebear and fire-arrow skillls are worth anything; same goes to hydra, probably the damage output will still suck.

I think it is possible for helms and shields to have such modes

Marshal's +3 Paladin Offensive Auras Amulets(60), Circlets(60), Maces(60), Paladin Shields(60), Scepters(60), Shields(60), Swords(60)

Shadow +3 Assassin Shadow Disciplines Amulets(60), Circlets(60), Helms(60), Katars(60)

Interesting. Lets just take it apart:
There are 3 of them: Uber Mephisto, Uber Baal and Uber Diablo. If Mephisto's and Baal's minnions will no longer give experience what about Diablo's minions? Interesting part is this: you can lure Diablo in the "Mephisto's house" and he will never escape from there because he just can't tele out - the same as Mephisto...
Diablo minnions: they have magical immunity. this assumes that no hammerdins will be introduced in upcoming uber leveling session. Yes, thats right - there will be uber leveling! A bit different, but all show to it...

I don't really care that they haven't fixed stuff like Fend and Jab, which I would never use anyway.

I'm glad the most annoying things were adressed.


I can finally make the most overpowered character in this game (dreamer - what, nobody realizes? Well, try him. Now that IM is gone %-)) and my necro char will be even stronger.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME NOW!




PS. Don't forget that hammerdins are WEAK now, it's not that they can't just do certain monsters - many monsters have some magic resistance, even if not immunity, hammers will deal much less damage to MANY monsters now and some will be totally immune.

Yes, hammerdins got MASSIVELY nerfed in PvM.

Not that many monsters have magic resist. Take Chaos Sanctuary for instance. Oblivion Knights (and no one else) have around 25 magic resist and Diablo has zero despite having 50 in all other resists, IIRC.

Your justified complaints do not change the fact that the insignificant, don't-know-why-they-even-bothered, change is "nice". It is "nice" that the Blood Golem can no longer kill you, but as you said, well, it speaks for itself.

Alot of the biggest requests didn't make it in. I read that wish-list thread, and the most-requested fixes were along the lines of:

1. Stop the dupes
2. Stop the bots
3. Stop TPPK
4. Shared stash
5. Respec
6. Nerf hammerdins
7. Nerf runewords/get rid of enigma/some combination thereof
8. Resolution fixes

Granted, alot of the changes they put in were nice, but they only hit the tip of the iceberg :/

Blood golem losing life could never KILL you. It could only bring you down to 0hp. The supposed "bug" (which I thought was part of the game) was him taking damage and then taking YOUR life in the process. And if he was poisoned, so were you.

If they had never added this to the patch descriptions, nobody would have ever noticed. Because it's a skill nobody uses.

-Respec helps alot!
-No more omg WW ironmaiden or merc getting owned in chaos sanc!
-Hammerdin nerf
-More Hr's drop
-New challeges? Hope not facerolled by a smiter like ubers. (Do i sense a standard of heroes related stuff...?)
-Fixed duping should help economy
-I already loved my CE, now its buffed! weeeee!
-Can see my life + mana above orbs all the time!
-Torch Firestorm is just a cheesy "For looks", the 5% is good for it, so fireclawers dont crahes if they run on bad computer.

Hmmm >.> I never came across with that BG bug...
I use it a lot for MF, Leveling, Baaling,
Chaosing (Woot! No need to use Sorc's Infinity) & Teleporting to Baal
Maybe I'm too stacked with my minions ^^;
