Counter Arguement against what I just posted?

This was a post by Solar Ice, during day 1. He wasn't the BFF at this point though, so there is that to take into consideration, and if flub was his teammate, wouldnt have known flub was Paris due to no night 1, but day 1.

1) I chose Solar (as I explained to him in the chat link) because of his smartiness and fairly good powers of discernment.

2) I can't answer with certainty, but I think Goryani notified Solar Ice of the BFF status during the day and then sent chat link near close of day phase. I can't give a time stamp on when I sent PM to Goryani since I've already deleted all in my sent folder.

3) Yes I was spammer yesterday and it's a tough role isn't it Bad Ash...:wink:


4) Moar should not leave. I'm not into sausage-fests..........anymore

Well, let me get into this post here cause I dont think you understand what I was saying.

The Paris role is removed from the game and the BFF is dead. That was never disputed and has nothing to do with what I am saying.

I may be picking at straws, but to me it looks like you're just going along with where the pressure is at and applying more.

How is there pressure on flub when I have the first vote on him?

Which advantage is this?

If flubb is lying, then either another living townie is a BFF and not telling us (stupid) or mafia is the BFF.

This is irrelevent and has nothing to do with what I am saying. I don't think flub is lieing. The question is did Night 1 Paris possible make a mafia teammate the BFF and would this be a logical advantage due to the rotating night talk.

Now, lets see what happens here.

Next day Paris gets a thread for her and her BFF ... Hmmm, there shouldn't be one since SI was the 'claimed' BFF. That means that flubb was lying and he is scum. Next day, easy lynch.

This doesn't make sense. In no way would this plan ever make sense. There is no advantage here as Paris will find out whose lying at night.

If there is a mafia BFF still alive, it's an easy lynch for us.

......at no point did I assume or think that the BFF is alive or the Paris role is still in play. The hypothetical actions were during night one, when a BFF was selected and having to reason out why flub chose Solar Ice.

A coin flip has 50/50 odds of showing heads. I could flip the coin 100 times in a row and get heads every time.
What is the relevance? The odds mean nothing. Especially at D1 where reads are quite hard.

This is an extremely contradictory statement. Day 1 is hard. We are on Day 3 with no direction. Odds come in to play. If there was a 51% chance I was mafia would should you lynch me? Why or why not? The odds were more likely that flub would randomly pick a townie than a mafia member. That is a fact if he was randomly choosing. This isnt 50-50. 25% is still as I said, plausible, but it still is less likely that he would have picked a townie and he didnt.

And here is where I really think you are going with the flow, making flawed points to try to get attention on to flub.

We have a BFF that is dead. If there is a BFF still in the game, which Paris will find out about at night, flub gets lynched. In this case as well, the mafia BFF wouldn't want to even talk in that thread, as they will uncover their identity, then get lynched as well.

For now, I suspect you are scum.

I dont think trying to reason out something is making a flawed arguement. I am saying if I was mafia, and if I was Paris, I would at least consider making my teammate the BFF. I was wondering if anyone would do the same. How the hell else are we supposed to get information in this game? If everyone in this game would consider making their teammate the BFF, it holds water, and I could STILL be wrong about flubs alignment.

Next, you say "it is really good for them, though." Who is them? Are you still referring to the scum? If so, why the redundant phrasing? Maybe it's the 'though' word throwing me off, making me think you've referenced the town. Hence, why I'm asking for elaboration.

Also, the last sentence just seems out of place to me. How does everyone having a power role effect the politician's roleblock target?

I realize it seems like I'm picking on you. There's a reason for that. Solar Ice never engaged you directly. Granted, Solar wasn't around for very long, but he asked questions, quoted, and responded to just about everyone at least once. But not you, not that I can find. Connections can be suspicious, but some times the lack of connections are just as suspicious. I'm interested in what you think about that.

The no connection thing with Solar and franklin could be something we could go off of and Solar did respond to many people.

The BFF thing is interesting.
Town + Town
Town + Mafia
Mafia + Mafia

Town + Town, has the situation where no one can truly trust each other. In which case, maybe confirming the BFF is town can be very helpful.

Town + Mafia, Again, Town won't trust the other member, but I can see mafia making up stuff to try to cloud their judgemnet

and M+M doesn't really add much.

The BFF claiming could let us work on us confirming they are town. From there, the 'Paris'' of the world (lulz) will know if they can trust him/her or not.

I think this is correct in explaining the logic of mafia not choosing mafia as BFF. Mafia already know who all the townies are and what advantage would there be in having a night chat with a townie?? On the other hand, a townie having a night chat with mafia could potentially expose something. The discussion Solar Ice and I had was a bit tentative, since neither of us felt confident of the other. He seemed more so than I did. However, we did agree to let him disclose the BFF status if he felt it necessary. The purpose was to be able to remain incognito as long as possible to gather intel each night chat.

Oh, here are/were his list of mafia suspects:

Ankeli, Moar, Malevolent, kestegs, Pyrotechnician

He later mentions not trusting (lynching) Caluin Graye over Moar. Other than that it was a short chat of fluffy goodness. (15 posts total)

Wasn't the concensus to claim roles and actions everyday?

Made a list and so far all roles/players are accounted for except for Gwaihir and Pyrotechnician.

I think Solar must have been scum since he didn't reveal that he was Joe again. But how the h*ll did he get killed then? Mafia won't attack one of their own, but I don't really see yet how the bus driver could have involuntarily done it.

No, I wouldn't think so.

Couple situations I see possible:

1. SI was the hitman and he reflected off of the reflector to hit himself.

2. SI was the target of the kill and he did not get told he was killed or that his mjb ability triggered. Not sure if gory would tell him or not, that's the issue.

3. Bus driver lied and mafia hit mafia. Seems unlikely, especially since we can confirm one of his switches.

"It is really good for them, though" is referring to mafia. The first sentence states the power is better for mafia than scum, the second sentence says it is really good for scum. I don't see it as redundant phrasing. The last sentence has nothing to do with roleblock target, it is about the whole role itself. Everyone having a power creates an environment of accountability, whereas if there were people that didn't have roles, mafia would be able to lie about which role they have or simply not claim one. Then we would have bastardly actions to match up with three or four people or whatever.

I notice quite a lot of people just ignore what I say most of the time, lol. Maybe its my overuse of the word "though". And I don't remember SI asking me anything this game, either.

Flubs role is out of the game and I didnt see him claim one. But AFAWK there was no kill last night and we do have a verified block on Ankeli? Only other options as stated are Mafia targeting Sath or not sending it in on purpose and claiming a block on Ankeli.

What I want to know out of all of this is that you knew there was an issue with what was being said, you knew very well that Ankeli could have had the politician role based on your switch targets, and yet you withheld this information and let the town build a case against ankeli in the meantime. Why would someone as town do something like this?

My by you misinterpreted theory was that either Sath/kestegs was mafia or Ankeli. Bribed kestegs by day, blocked Ankeli by night.

The MJB role doesn't rotate or changes hands if the delayed death is triggered according to the description. So Solar had to have it and lied about having it.

Yeah, sorry. Had a really bad day yesterday. Got reminded why I always regret the day after that I got drunk. Overreacted. Done it before and will do it again.

We can find out if there is a mafia BFF around. Gwaihir said IIRC that the Paris role would be "stored" in Mal. I have to go back and check that. So if the role is revived by town and we get a town Paris, she'd be able to tell that there is a BFF (scum Paris would obviously not). Chances to get this scenario are small though. We'd need town Frankenstein, town Paris and scum BFF. And if Solar was the BFF it was all for nothing anyway. Not sure that's the best use of our ressurces.

Solar is certainly a good choice. I can see that you might have just got unlucky there with him being scum.

The BFF is chosen at daytime and also gets to know the Paris of the day at the start of the day because of the voting restriction. So Solar would have known as soon as flub chose him. The first day was very long. Flub, do you remember if you chose in the first 3rd, second 3rd or the last 3rd?
