City Mafia Game Thread

Re: City Mafia Game Thread

BadAsh?? Sathoris is a better lynch candidate at this late juncture. Your move is not town wise.

Hmm. I looked at the vote count on the first page, it was 3 to 3 when I wrote the post. I am willing to switch from Bad Ash to Sath if it means we get a lynch, but Sath did not do anything that yelled scum to me. Sure he was all over with votes, but I thought that was normal for him.

Re: City Mafia Game Thread

Day ends in roughly two hours.

Current vote count:
Sathoris (4): kestegs; Ankeli; Bad Ash; Pyrotechnician
Bad Ash (2): Asrrin; zemaj
valhauros (1): Sathoris
Laarz (1): Goryani
Pyrotechnician (1): Gwaihir
Gwaihir (1): coju

I agree Sathoris isn't pushing my buttons either. But lynches get information.

Re: City Mafia Game Thread

Don't throw stones. Obviously I read it, otherwise I wouldn't have pulled the nugget from within the middle. Vote flipflopping this late in the day phase it counterproductive and anti-town.

Again, lynches = information ...not rhetoric from other games

Re: City Mafia Game Thread

Sorry been busy all day, and when I left yesterday it was a coin toss between BA and Sath for my vote.

After thinking about it, eh, whilst I can happily vote for ethier of them (Sath vote switching and BAs agressive stance to lynch noodle, although that's probably more BA->noodle rivalry), I think lynching a lurker would be more better choice for the day 1 yatzee shot.

Vote: Laarz

@CG: As far as I understand you are using the same lynch rules as WoT game? When day ends most votes in lynched even if they have less than half. Am I correct?

Incorrect. The town will need a majority in order to perform a lynch. The only difference between this game and normal games is that a lynch locks immediately, instead of needing the +1 vote.

"Good evening, and welcome to Faux News at Six. Tonight, we bring you further developments on the situation gripping our fair nation. It seems that a number of cities have taken it upon themselves to create a task force for investigating the heinous attack upon Washington D.C. So far, no suspects have been named, and nobody has come forward to claim responsibility for the attack.

Now, we go to spor-"

The feed has cut out. An EMP blast has been detonated, and all communication has been disrupted! Officials estimate it will take 24 hours to repair the damages and restore communications amongst the nation.

----------

Nobody has been lynched.

It is now "night time". You may not post for 24 hours. If you have night actions, please have them submitted to be my 5:00pm Pacific time (to allow me an hour to organize and get the story written).

"... to which I said back to him, "I don't care what you're paying that guy! I deserve more than what you're giving me." And do you..."

(Off camera) "Psst, we're back on the air."

"Uhh, oh. OH. Good evening everyone, thank you for joining us. I'm Jeremy Talkstomuch. It appears that Faux News at Six has been restored. Tonight, we'll bring you all the breaking news regarding the civil crisis plaguing our nation. Another city has been destroyed, and citizens all over are panicking and rioting in the streets.

"But first, a story about the new born panda at the... wait, I'm sorry. Houston has been obliterated, and we're going to instead report on a stupid panda birth? What the hell, guys?

"Uh-huh.

"Yeah.

"I see.

"Whelp, sorry to say everyone, but apparently our viewers don't care about important current events and simply want to hear about the cute, cuddly things that make them feel warm and safe. I refuse to report on this. So instead, we'll have an hour of dead air while I sit here and pick my toenails.

"Not like anyone is watching us anyways."

------------

It is now "day time"!

kestegs was killed! He was Houston, Texas.

With 17 alive, it is 9 to lynch. Day is scheduled to end on Saturday at 6:00PM Pacific, precisely 48 hours from now.

Re: City Mafia Game Thread

I think Caluin Graye was kidding about the hour of dead air...

Looking at the vote history, something seems off to me. For a day that required 10 votes for a lynch, there wasn't much voting going on. A third of the players remained voteless at the end of the day: Noodle, FredofErik, Valhauros, Laarz, ThunderCat, Gambor. Why no votes?

@Ankeli - Were you surprised at the responses to your "what do you think I would pick" question? I think everyone that responded had the same idea.

Re: City Mafia Game Thread

Short answer why I didn't vote yesterday is because I didn't have any suspicions worthy of dropping the vote on. The whole Ninjagate debacle left Pyro and zemaj looking pretty bad, but I'm not sure Pyro wasn't just making newbie mistakes. As far as the rest of that went, I think Gwahir was following up on something that he thought was scummy, and coju wanted to be a ninja.

FWIW, when I logged on for the deadline, the thread was totally dead. There was a flurry of posts, that stopped about 20 minutes before the deadline.

Somewhat. Although I have to admit that it was one of the 3 roles I narrowed my pick down to.

I had a family situation that took me out of town yesterday.

Who would you have voted for had you not had that situation? Would you have gone on the Laarz train, or chosen someone else altogether? Why?

Oh, I still don't dig the flip flopping and train jumping, so...

Vote: Sathoris

Re: City Mafia Game Thread

I got chastised for questioning someones' RL situation in another game, Laarz. So I hope everything worked out.

@Ankeli, are you asking Laarz if he would have jumped on his own lynch train??

Re: City Mafia Game Thread

Lols, holy hell, that's what you get for posting right after arriving at work. For some reason I assumed it was Val posting that, not Laarz.

Let's rephrase, who WOULD you, LAAAAAARZ, have voted for, had you been here?
