Thanks for the help! It, obviously, did end up being a stupid permissions issue. Annoying because the only account on this computer is an administrative one. I always thought "running things as an administrator" was redundant. I just turned off UAC because I hate it and I think its dumb. This solved all of my issues.

Thanks for the help, life in D2 gets stressful when you're forced to make decisions on what you want to store.

I was going to come back and play single player.. But i put some of those new things from meph on hell diff in my bank.. and it gave me this error..says i have nothing in it now.. dang it.

had like 900 items in there stuff..nooo

oh well

There is always the backups. If you are careful not to create dupes and those essences were the last items you put in there then I'd suggest using them.

Please be careful as you can accidentally create more trouble for yourself.
The backups are numbered from 1 to 9, by default. 9 being the oldest and 1 being the newest. Rename the 'Bank of Gille_1.org' to 'Bank of Gille_1.d2x' Once you've removed all the items you've muled off, traded, or sold, then you can delete the old 'Bank of Gille.d2x' and rename the 'Bank of Gille_1.d2x' to 'Bank of Gille.d2x'

So.. decided to take a much needed vacation from the MP aspect of D2 (More or less tired of dealing with the general populous of D2 who seem to be nothing but immature morons) and decided to poke around on SP for the first time!

What programs (On the approved list) are a must-have for making SP life easier? Can anyone provide me with links? Very much appreciated! ^_^

As long as you follow certain rules you can MP in the SPF. The MP forum is a sub forum listed at the top.

Reading these will make your stay here a lot more pleasant.

For recommended programs there are links on the front page of this thread. I'd suggest ATMA or GoMule, and the RWM for starters. ATMA/GoMule will allow for an almost infinite out of game shared stash and RWM will enable the Rune words that were left out of SP.

I decided to go with GoMule and the RWM... haven't tried unzipping/installing RWM yet, but I did try getting GoMule to work...

Safe to say I need a "Installation of GoMule for Dummies" Book :/

Absolutely no idea what i'm doing z_z;;

GoMule does not need to be installed. For GoMule you need to install the JVM (java virtual machine)

Once that is installed unzip the GoMule folder and open the GoMule.jar file. It should open up the program and then you can start using it.

A little note if you are using win7 or vista you may need a little tweak to get the program working properly, XP will not need it. Let us know and we will post the tweak.

Err.... I have Java installed... I have a GoMule folder on my Desktop which contains:

d2111 Folder
dupelists Folder
gomule Folder
META-INF Folder
org Folder

standard.dat

GoMule.jar


Now, when I click on the GoMule.Jar, it opens with Filzip...
When I right-click it, and choose the option "Open with another program" Java doesn't appear anywhere on the list? O_o;;

You can try uninstalling/reinstalling the Java runtime so it grabs the association back.

Or when you are choosing a program to open it with, try picking C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe

I tried this method.. and I get an error message SOUND, but no actual error message Z.z..... I have no idea what i'm doing >.< lol :/

I'm done trying, obviously it's a program not worth the hassle.

Easiest way is to probably search your whole computer for *.d2x files.

They should be in the ATMA_Config folder by default. You may need to enable showing of known file types extensions and/or hidden file/folders. If they are not there and you have win7/vista try the virtual folders after enabling hidden files/folders.

i have a question regarding the RWM:

does it enable the ladder-only uniques too?
on the realm in ladder mode the monsters get more defense and life in nm/hell. does the RWM change this in SP too?

Second link in the second post (SP Specifics) of the FAQ is Can you get this in SP?.

RWM only enables runewords. The ladder items are already available. The only two items which aren't available are anni and torch.

Defence is unaffected.
