Anything Goes D2 Lounge!

Had a gold sacred armor drop on pindle today. I got really excited for a second, and took a million screenies. Then I remembered that tyraels can't drop from pindy :( It was templar's might :(

Grats on 1k. How long did it take you? 1k never really sounds that impressive, but it usually takes me 6 or 7 hours. That's a lot of time to be running those boring circles. You find any good runes at all during that?
 
Took me 8 hours. Actually, 1k is the number of runs i have on my run counter. There were some LK sessions where i forgot to start the runner. So i guess it was 1k+

Got: SUR, MAL, MAL, UM. Bunch of other lower runes..
 
finished act 2 hell with a tankless bowazon. was really afraid of duriel with only 650 life. the actual fight turned out to be anti-climatic...15 minutes running in circles spamming guided arrow. since the zon survived a shiny nat claw is sitting at the end of act 2 waiting to be used, if the sin survives the act too
 
I've been running nightmare meph fairly casually and found a Tal Rasha's Horadric Crest :)

It's not what I was expecting to drop (didn't know nightmare meph dropped it) but it's a pretty awesome hat for my merc!

lol, for some reason this rune combination makes me laugh. This perfectly sums up LK. 8 hours, mostly crap, but you might get lucky and hit the high one every now and then. Also I always forget to turn my run counter on or get too lazy and just keep going. I'm trying to get more consistent about it because I want to see how many runs I've done instead of guessing! I have my pindle counter up to 2300 now, and seeing that number go up is fun :)
 
I'm working on my (I think) fourth fresh restart. This one was kind of forced though. My last computer broke and I just decided to sell it. I wasn't even playing D2 at that point, so there was no saving of anything I had. It may have been just a few mats/pats and a few weeks worth of MF runs of stuff, so no biggie. I always seem to stop playing before I accumulate much wealth.

Started with a sorceress, playing as lightning/orb. Haven't decided whether to respec to blizzard once (or if) she gets guardian to start MFing for gear, or just stay as is and level up a blizz sorc later once I get some more gear. Probably the latter. Even with respecs, I'll probably want more than just one sorceress anyway.

My time will probably be split up into about half tournament characters and half regular. Hopefully I will soon have my first guardian in...10 years of playing. Ten years of playing a few months at a time with long breaks between though. I think if it was all in one cumulative period of time, it would probably be closer to about two years, mostly SC besides tournament characters. Wish me luck!
 
AAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! Just lost a couple eth grailers and some other stuff to a Java crash w/GoMule...I hate java...but I can't get ATMA to work with essences, crashes EVERY time...*mutter, grumble, grouse, whine*

Makes the runcounter problematic for me as well...

Does anyone know how long it takes on average to shop some good trapper claws (+3 traps, +3 LS)? Been trying some and it is really boring. Hard to keep going. Hopefully the answer isn't too depressing :badteeth:
 
I did some googling on the topic and some self calculations and the answer is depressing, however I forgot the answer aswell.

you get 1 +6 claw each 300.000 runs. If you also want it to be greater talon for the atkspeed and lower requirements, then you look at numbers in the millions.

Now if you multiply these millionss by also wanting a suffix like simplicity and also want to get 2 sockets from larzuk and want this 2 times, then you are surely looking at numbers in the miljards.

Personally im happy enough after lots of shopping with a +4 greater talon and +5 scissor quhab, both not yet socketed. I do ID every blue greater/runic talon I find.

Nearing my 1,000th LK run, and haven't gotten a rune higher than lem in about 400 runs. I figure that's typical, but could using telekinesis on the chests affect anything? Is there any difference between using telekinesis and just clicking the chests? I'm one rune short of infinity, and can't freakin wait to go full lightning and baal run to 99!

There's no difference between the two as far as drops go. I find static-ing can't really improve your run time, at least it couldn't mine. I'd be interested in hearing if you come up with some way to use it. I got really used to teleporting directly to each chest, the distance between each pretty close to one teleport with mouse at the edge, and 3 full teleports between huts. Moving mouse from edge to center just got hypnotic after a while. Adding in the static seems like it would be too much of a hassle.

I'm messing around with it. I find I can click one and right click the other faster than I can tele and click the other, so for now it seems to improve my time. Btw how in the hell do you do 1k runs/7 hrs? It takes me like 10 on a good day. Do you just not pick up any gems/charms/jewels?
