Morning, all.

wathombe's runeword spreadsheet
I clearly missed a great deal of discussion this weekend. I'll try to respond to as much as I can, but if I miss anyone, please feel free to yell at me and point out my omission. :uhhuh:
Dawns-requiem: Great work. When you're ready, we'll start organizing USWest posters for classic forge rushers. Let us know how the test run goes.
mmaketsu/yhenon: Thanks for all the tests, as usual. You two are a very efficient team. I have added a grid for Orbs into the spreadsheet. I don't think there are any previous 2os Orb tests, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Diabolic Apom: Welcome to the team. All good questions. I can't see any relation between the answers to 3.0 and 3.5, either. Maybe we're missing something (or maybe they all mean nothing). I'm hoping the RalIth/IthRal tests will yield something (Orbs, anyone?).
Shaft: Argh! We will certainly miss your input and insight. Sounds daunting, that supercourse. What are you studying, if we may ask?
Cadogan: Welcome! And thanks for the tests! We're going to need people on West soon for classic forge rushes, so you're just in time.
On class-specific runewords: I haven't done an analysis myself, but these all sound like good ideas. Barb helms, druid pelts, and zon spears are certainly good candidates, as you say, Sokar. With so many new runewords, I wouldn't discount orbs or necro heads, either, despite the presence of other strong non-runeword alternatives. Perhaps I should split the shield and helm grids out into class specifics. What do you guys think?
On European tests/viability of 1.07 list: I met the European player online this morning (on Europe), and he demonstrated his rollback method for me--not
how he did it, but he showed me the results on a baby character I made myself. His tests are legit, so we're down to 25 possibles, including retests from early July. I'm prepared to toss the 1.07 list, although I do think it's a good idea to retest the cheap recipes and try the missing Pul and Um recipes. After that, we're left with random 2os and Kenny-Z.
silfos/916_Andy: Here is the original Kenny-Z clue for "hratli":

This sorcerer has mastered the ability to meld metal with magic. He claims a much higher price than most blacksmiths, but his work is the best of any mortal. Also his tongue is sharp as a blade and quick as a whip.
Notice the mention of "blade" in there. Too bad RalIth and IthRal have both been tested in swords. Of course, we could try Hel Ral Amn Tir/Tal/Thul Lum/Lem/Lo Ith/Ist in a phase blade. (btw, Andy, you left Tir out of your initial analysis on the last page.)
That's all for now. Let me know if I missed anything.
