Re: 1.13 Public Test Realm online!
Let's start seeing a bit more courtesy in this thread, please.
Name calling isn't going to be tolerated.
The doodie head is right (LOL GET IT!? I WAS BEING DEFIANT LOLOL)
No seriously. I don't see the whole nice reason to go up in arms about the respec and all that. It IS a beta patch after all. I mean look at the differences between 1.10 beta and the 1.10 final, a few things didn't make the cut, and I'll assume a few things from this won't as well.
Is there an official thread or anything to report things on for the PTR? Like can people go to blizzard forums and pen down these responses in their own time in a "tell us how we did" thread?
My joke post from earlier aside(although most of it is how I truly feel it has become), us at the SPF have the wonderful choice of not having to upgrade. Heck, look how many people held out playing 1.09 for so long, and ended up breaking down to 1.12 anyways.
A new patch for D2 is like a new version of Windows. Everyone who is used to the current version cries out "It's different! So awkward! We fear change!" and then after a while they warm up to it, and it's "Not so bad". Although we do get the occasional "ME" version, but it's often quickly replaced.
On the whole issue of respecs, I would personally LOVE to see my character screen reduced from like 47 characters down to 10 or 11. It'd be nice to build up a few respecs and be able to say, "Well I want to play a bowazon today" or "I want to outfit this character for the upcoming pvp tournament".
Different isn't always bad, it's just unexpected, and while a few of our cries for help have been "ignored", are any of you seriously acting like it's such a big surprise? When did SP get much of a bump in support aside from its own players? That's supposed to be the point of this place and other forums that may have spawned from its members. We stick together, and we help the community out. If that means throwing around a hax or two to enable some runewords we feel we need, then so be it. If it means developing our own software to mule items and store them, that's fine too. Who are the internet police that are saying we have to do it any other way than our own?
Aside from the mods.
But those guys are noobs, m i rite?!
