1. No, there is no easy way. Doing self MP games, either with multiple computers, multiple virtual computers, or the modified dll are the standard ways.
2. No, they cannot drop. The best way to get a decent matriarchal javelin that I know of is to get one as a Hell Anya reward and then craft it. If you are doing self-MPing, have your other mule characters be amazons, rush them to hell, and some of them will get decent rewards (possibly GMB) for example.
3. Not really, but one that rates high is Mavina's belt, which I would check the 1.07 guides. I'm pretty sure Hell Blood Raven is a good source for that.

1. in addition to the methods outlined by purplelocust, you might also actually MP with others, there have been 1.07 games available lately in the MP forum...

2. Mat javs can't drop, but CAN be racked

3. Only 1.07 weapon w/FRW is crainte vomir espandon, 1.07 titan's don't have FRW...

Items w/good FRW: mav's belt, trang oul's armor, Valk wing helm, cats eye ammy, sander's boots. maybe Highlords Wrath ammy (1.08 version has FRW, dunno about 1.07 version). Best source for the sets is either hell champs/uniques w/375%MF, or racking...and the unique ammys and some unique boots w/FRW can be gotten from hell bosses w/556%MF, the others must be racked.

You can also craft lesser caster boots w/40%FRW @clvl 79+, and lesser blood boots @ clvl 93+, and greater crafted boots of either flavor can get 40%FRW at any clvl...

@gedda-d-e: that bow actually dropped from hell cows, but I had previously shopped several like it, they just didn't get 4sox from Larzuk...since making that bow I have shopped 3 Pestilent/of Anthrax composite bows (faster speed, you know), but they got 1,2,1 sox, respectively...the search continues...

@FromLithuania: Wow, that was quick! Don't stop! Get another one to trade, as well as some great base items! BTW, did you get a green one (BKSC?)

1. Yes as mentioned (the easiest imo is to use Mattins version of Trens shadow switcher). In his "version folders" you will have the d2xdll that supports multiple instances (it not default enabled but in the folder so just a rename away from use)

2. As mentioned racking is the way for Mat javs. Note though that Amazon javs is not effected by dex (all other javs are though). I crafted a nice mat jav with 350% ed so that is the best way imo to get a good jav.

HELM:
The best helm for walk speed is Valkyries Wing (rack it for the love of god :)
(30FRW)
(30Increased attackspeed)
(30 Fast cast rate)
(30 Fhr)

Other than that if you find a circlet rack you can easily get one with 30Frw.

ARMOR:
trangs armor is most popular choice (rackable) (40%frw)

AMULET:
Cats Eye ftw

BOOTS:
multiple choices here ofcourse

BELT: Mavinas can not be beaten.

Additionally, crainte vomir the unique sword gets 20frw. Small/medium/large charms get 3/5/7 frw. There is no diminishing returns to frw from items like there is in 1.08 and later, so you can get really really fast (when I packed my barb with frw he ran from town to cold plain wp in 10.5 seconds). High lords wrath also has 30frw on it.

I can now shop hydra bows, currently level 80, never saw one before so I assume the breakpoint is there somewhere. Anyways, have 7 so far. REALLY should go to bed, might craft some tomorrow! :D

1) instead of reducing the defence of the monsters per hit (as it was intended), the eth rune in 1.07 reduces the monster to 25% of his defence once you hit it.
2) no. baal is insanely scary with his one hit KO move. there are better targets to run. I ran hell diablo for quite a while to get nice uniques like skin of the vipermagi and suicide branch. doable with a fo/static sorc. I can't remember my average time, but it was something like 6 min per run I think.

AFAIK Eth sets target defence to -(minus)25%. Eth has never reduced monster defence per hit, it just reduces it by the said percent and half for bosses.

Pre-1.10, an Eth rune socketed into a weapon will apply the "-25% target defense" mod literally...it sets the target's defense to negative 25%, rather than merely reducing it by 25%. This means that your AR is essentially irrelavent, you pretty much always have 95% CTH, unless the monster is much higher in level than you...

Is hell Baal worth running w/556%? That depends, are Itamz like Blackleach Blade, Ginther's Rift, Crainte Vomir, Moser's Blessed Circle, Blade of Ali Baba, Spellsteel, Chromatic Ire, Endless Hail, Moonfall, Gravepalm, Waterwalks, or Islestrike worth getting? I'd say YES! Its just finding a way to pack on 556%MF, kill Baal, and NOT DIE...:crazyeyes:

I am still trying to hit that 556% breakpoint, running with what I have at the moment isn't going to work, thats for sure :D! But yes, that is the ultimate goal (past racking) no? ALL GOLDS? gieb.

With the Eth bug, it is great, SheaSheaEth socket in a good craft is great. I don't know if it works on ranged weaps though, can anyone confirm? It would have an impact on my skill/stat distribution on the upcoming Ama, definetly.

Speaking of which, whilst trying to find her a Hydra Bow to craft a decent weap off, Lazruk had this handy piece of craftsmanship in his window display, I could not resist;

Started an amazon, did some MP with BoMan the other day and she is now in NM. Did some cow runs to reach level 44 in order to get some javs before entering NM - found myself some incentive to stay around for another level;

I'm with you chizra! I started a sorc and a necro. Both level seven. I found I already had a modified .dll for multiple instances. About that:

Are you just supposed to run 8 instances of it to get p8? Or are there 'better' options like just running 3 or 4 games for the better xp?
 
Having 8 running at a time has never bothered my comp before, and it's not that nice.

It didn't seem any different than just running one actually.

It may be tough to level at higher p settings though, unless you have some twinking gear. Skills aren't quite so op as in later versions.

My method has been to run normal with a full 8 mules in the game and then nm and hell at players 1. This lets me get to nm around 42-45, into hell at around 60 and finished hell at around 70. The beginning of normal is a little slow, but the rest of normal is fine because you are over leveled.

You won't get extra drops with more people in the game unless they are partied and in the same area you are. And then you share experience with them.

Running eight instances on my wife's laptop's intel core 2 duo is just fine. My amd x3 desktop is actually not as good, but still quite serviceable.
