My housemate (female) related me to John Snow, as in "You know nothing, John Snow." Which means she considered me somewhat naive, sexually/confidence-wise uncertain, inexperienced, and not having a lot of experience with people, travel, the world etc.Just kidding.... I know nothing
She's kind of changed her mind (she was quite surprised,) after she's gotten to know more complex personas within me. This relates to physically, intimately and analytical aspects within my persona. To be very honest, I'm very happy with her change in viewpoints.

Been playing some more Destiny the last few days. Having a blast so to speak.
Getting better at it. Few days ago i had a part where enemies seemingly kept coming. With difficulty i kept driving them back. Until finally some bad**s shows up and blasts me to pieces. Then yesterday, after getting a few more lvls and some better gear, i gave it another try. Now i got through it fairly easy.Part of that was a change in how i used the gear i had. Primary weapon is some semi automatic weapon with which i can zoom in a bit so i can shoot fairly fast and accurate (i mostly try to go for the headshots). But in some situations that's not the ideal weapon.
Secondary weapon was a shotgun. Figured i needed some close encounter protection. Turns out i never used that. By the time they're close enough you don't have the time to switch weapons anymore. Plus i have some other means that are more suited in situations like that. So i switched that to a sniper rifle (my fav weapon in most shooters). This gives me the chance to do some accurate shooting from long range while doing some serious damage.
And then there is the heavy weapon. Before i didn't even know how to switch to that (i only knew how to between primary and secondary weapon). Got a machine gun there. Don't use it often, but there are situations (mostly against big strong single opponents) where it really shines. This is the weapon which i used to take out the big baddy that shot me to pieces earlier. Now i switched to the weapon before he was there as i knew he was coming. Accidentally i saw from where he was coming and now i shot him before he even was close enough to fire 1 shot.
Turns out he was the last opponent for that quest.Besides that i did one mission that i skipped until now as it required MP. All other missions i could MP, but i did them solo. Although there are often other peeps around and sometimes in random events you work together. But this was my first real MP experience here. Played with two others that seemed to know where they were going. And were playing a bit better than me. Despite all that i think i did fairly well and actually contributed something to the team.
Now i'm in a different place. Could only take a quick peek as it was getting late. The game said it was for players with lvl 10-12. I'm 17 or 18. And i'm glad i am that high. Maybe in a team or with great gear you can get away with 10-12, but i really had to work hard to stay alive. And i didn't even manage to do that all the time. But that's what makes it fun.
Well, got to go now as there's this little thing called work.

To be honest, my usual persona is quiet, relaxed, reserved. Very few get to know more than that. I'm generally happy, but quiet and don't open up easily, and so, people see a generally 2D persona - friendly, nice, considerate but not really that deep.
Even when we opened up emotionally (long talks, psychology/spirituality etc,) she saw a deeper level, but not everything. Over time (quite a short time by the way,) through our talks, discussion and psychological analyses of each other, she got to see the hidden me; a persona that is more open, analysing, deeper, and more insightful than my exterior which she saw for several years prior.
And with that, we've gotten closer, and where she actually told me she considered me a "John Snow (you know nothing, John Snow,)" she said that she now considers herself (in some aspects) more naive/less experienced/less confident and younger than myself. That is a really nice thing to hear. She has gotten to know a much deeper and personal aspect of me, and it feels nice to know that she looks at me like an equal, or even more confident of a person that she can rely upon.
Simply, it's nice.

Personally, I don't think a couple days of action is worth the minute or so I spent creating a stash for you. I feel you owe me at least a week.

Yeah, sitting in the office, staring into two monitors and basically doing nothing as previous days were kind of exhausting so I think I kind of deserve a lil break and I'm not ashamed even in the slightest bit.
Won't do anything useful until poked with a stick.

I like the Schrodinger's stash remark. Shame i can't like the pm's you guys are sending eachother.
I'm so relieved to hear that I'm not the only one who does this. I can't goof off at work in any meaningful way because all the little eager beavers with the standing desks can see my screen ALL THE TIME. But I literally cannot work flat out like a machine all day every day and never take a break. Sometimes I go hide in the bathroom or walk around the building or just go sit outside for a bit. I don't care if I vanish. I have a smart phone and they can ping me on that any time (and they frequently do).
Ariadne, so sorry you are suffering. Life is pain I guess. It certainly seems that way. I've been trying to practice "radical acceptance" which is the idea that you accept a situation exactly as it is - not how you wish it was or how it used to be or how you hope it will be. So this week I just tried to accept that I hurt most of the time and the pain of last year is still around and that's just the way it is.

Everything is easier if you just go with the flow. I hardly push back anymore because I know its just not worth it in the long run.
