Returning to the Roots - Mini mafia game

I will also add that what are the chances that at least one of those on the Moar train is Mafia?

I want to vote you basically because of this quote. really? This is either a very unsuttle role fish or actually yeah I am not sure what else this could be

That makes absolutely no sense to me. So no one can be Mafia on a train leading to the lynch of a Townie?

Its a question that doesn't need an answer. Theres 9 players, now 7 with the kills and you are asking "gee does anyone think theres mafia in the 5 group of voters"

The answer is probably? Where does that lead, how does it fuel anything, etc etc etc.

The only person who cant answer probably is a cop.

hence you are fishing

No, I am not and frankly I do not see how you come to that conclusion. I would argue that there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking this question. Probably, yes there is Mafia. Certainly, no. It is very interesting that you are calling me out on this question. There was Phillinicus, kestegs and Ankeli NOT on the train. None of those three are on the Moar train. All three are massive suspects to me. The rest were.

The point is that: What better way to hide yourself than everyone looking at the players that were on the train and for the most part not focusing as much on those who do. You are very apprehensive of this possibility being brought up.

One possible reason is that you do not want this question brought up is that you are the Mafia (with/or a possible buddy) on that train and you do not want people to focus on you or even talking about the train. By extension you are absolving or trying to do so, the possibility of two of Ankeli, Phil and kegs as being part of the Mafia team. Scum know who is Scum and who is Town.

Did you every say why you are suspicious of Solar, or is this another "I don't feel like saying" situations?
I don't think he did. It's most likely another one of his secretive suspicions that he doesn't want to divulge with the town.

I think that Ankeli is very suspicious now after the Zokar kill because of what SI said, it's very convenient for Ankeli to just not answer a good question and then who is questioning him is killed that night.

If you stated we should look at the lynch train, thats one thing. Asking if people think a mafia was in on the train? PROBABLY! There is no other answer that would be more true or less true unless the cop came forward with information.

Ill throw some OMGUS with your LAMIST chirps

I understand that Ankeli thought/thinks that you are Scum but I do not like how you just jump in to agree with me without even hearing his reply. Too damn convenient for my liking.

LAMIST and OMGUS it is then. As well as trying to cover your Mafia butt.

Well, he hasn't replied yet. I don't know if he's been on since, if he can provide a reasonable explanation then that's fine. It's just a suspicion at the moment, it's up to altercation if I'm provided with a good response.

Not covering anything. I love looking at the votes to find mafia on towny lynches cause it usually leads to good place.

Asking if anyone knows though? No, thats fishing for a cop and is a scum move.

You are waffling and trying to twist my words, Mafia. Bringing up the possibility and try to look for scummy responses like yours does not equate to asking "if anyone knows".

I most certainly did, and I really didn't mince any words about how I felt about solar yesterday.

I didn't make the association with his post being role fishing until BA said it. I can see his point on it, but it's a little bit of a stretch. Either way, the post was super scummy.

Okay, I'll give you a bit more info then, since it's now available. My original post putting you on my scumlist is accurate I did find your play scummy, but didn't really have much to nail it down. What I got from you was a complete blow up from me putting you on a list of people I've found scummy so far and you continually pushing the issue making sure that everyone knows that I put you on a list without just cause. guilty conscience.

Chicken and egg scenario. Did I understand that correctly? Which Phillinucus post(s) gave you the scummy vibe?

No where in there did I say I wasn't going to talk or get involved in discussion, and then you say I didn't seem eager to talk. That's such a leap.

You forgot to answer the two questions you quoted. Probably not the best thing to do when trying to show us how eager you are to be involved in discussion.

Here are those questions again: Were you overwhelmed in GOTASOIAF? What crazy theories are flying about this game?

Is there really that much to be discussed in D1? Not really.

Yes really. D1 is usually the second most important day for discussion (the first day a mafioso is lynched without a guilty verdict is the most important - IMO).

There really hasn't been that much discussion so far.

I think you are very wrong on this. I'm even accounting that this quote happened during D1. Again, you are pointing out lack of discussion while not adding any discussion yourself.

I'll also point out the contradiction between the last two quotes. You try to placate me by saying there isn't much to discuss then you complain there hasn't been discussion. Which is it?

Random question for everyone:
Do you think massclaim today, on D1, is beneficial for the town? If not, what day is the last day for a mass claim to be helpful? (ok, two questions)

No one replies to an idea of massclaiming before N1. :weep:No one for it. No one against it. No one caring one way or the other? Not good. Not good at all.

I'm reading the links and they say the opposite:
"The Mafia Role Cop is allowed to both submit the nightkill and perform his Role Cop action, no matter whether the Goon is dead or not; see this thread, among others, for discussion on the matter."

The bolded is the important part. It's opposite of what you said and what CG posted.

Well that makes jailer a lot more powerful.

That is how I read it.

No you are not. But it is rarely townie not to.

I think Gory pointed it out first, but the quotes you provided are a very good summary. One of the better Day 1 cases I have seen.

Vote: Moar

These are all the Moar votes. Something looks hinky to me. What I notice first is lack of discussion. I've seen cops announce a guilty verdict with more discussion than that. The second thing I notice is that if someone agrees with me, they quote post 96 instead of post 78. Perhaps post 78 isn't as clear as I think it is, but I don't see how post 96 is so utterly convincing while post 78 isn't.

Perhaps I should ask the non-Moar voters.

@ Ankeli, kestegs, Phillinnicus -
Is post 78 clearly not as understandable as post 96? Did it not convince you? Did it not make you curious enough to look back at Moar's posts in order to decide for yourself? Do you think a mafioso Moar voter just skipped over post 78 and instead latched onto post 96 because it's easier to justify? Which player do you think might have done so?

I wasn't around enough to read properly and post after casting my vote, ergo, I didn't answer. If I was around, my vote would've stood.

What makes you more comfortable voting for him over Moar or Gwaihir?

And this is the question? All the reasoning I gave at the time was valid, and I didn't feel the same towards Moar or Gwaihir as they were at least trying to run the conversation forwards. The same lack of that applied to Phil for the duration of the day it seems.

Taking notice of such things would be pulling at strings too thin to justify anything imo. I don't know, can't tell and hence, can't really say anything about it.

My vote however will still find it's way to the same place as it did yesterday. Oh so eager to latch onto a possible train on me for not answering one, rather insignificant question.
