Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge

Received Kenyon the sorceress for playing thourgh act 4 NM, will start right away.

I have given her her gear already, and it turned out that I have very decent gear for a sorc like this. Don't think act 4 will present any problems to her, but let's not get ahead of things :smiley:

I'll hold on to her though to rerun the chaos sanctuary a few times to see if I can get runes. She is really powerfull with the gear I have!

Just for the record, we have untill this Saturday to complete act 4 right? I should be done, either dead or ready to pass on through Act 1 hell by saturday but just want to make sure...

Well Jarrell is finally sent on. Nothing major happened, but I did find an Amn and a Shael in Kurast... which brings up my question.

Most people know about Lower Kurast and its rune drops, but what about the rest? Both Bazaar and Upper have special chest drops, and that is where I found my only 2 runes passing through this whole area. Just wondering if people limit themselves to Lower Kurast, or ever venture into the next areas?
 
Freekje, that Hone Sundan is a fantastic find! Too bad you didn't find it in A5 where you could personalize it for use in this tourney, but at least you found it!

yeah that would have been awesome, but on the other hand, I'm thinking about starting either a WW barb or a pikazon based around this cool weapon.

Glad to see we've made it to act 4 NM, and still only a handful of deaths. There are still 15 players left in the running, and 15 characters hoping to survive to the final battle in act 5 hell. Whoo-hoo!

A couple quick things:

1. Yes, all players have until Saturday, January 6, to complete act 4 NM. All players should now have their act 4 character (indeed, the majority of players have actually finished act 4). If you have NOT received your act 4 character, please let us know asap.

2. If you have your act 5 player, you may begin playing them. Please do NOT pass along your act 5 character until I give the go-ahead.

3. For act 5 players: the Cow Level is considered to be part of act 5. If you want to play it, go for it. If you want to skip it, that's up to you. You certainly may return to Tristram to retrieve a leg if need be.

4. Remember your act 5 personalization reward! Any item you find in act 5 may be personalized and kept in your stash forever.

Very nice find! 35 is the maximum resistance on Vipermagi so 34 is fantastic! I have a Vipermagi in my original tourney stash and just about every character since A2 norm or so has worn it, it seems.

Finished Act IV, no problems got a Sol from HF.

In Act V, pretty easy breezing as well.

A little incentive to survive... any players reaching Hell difficulty will receive an additional elite set/unique item. In order to avoid repeating an item you already have, please post your elite set/uniques and/or class specific unique items when you reach Hell.

Act V is done. Unfortunately, I stupidly clicked the WP while going for Nihlathak. I don't usually do him, so I was unuse to ignoring the WP. So, no more Pindle runs for this char. Luckily I had run Pindle for a while and put on four levels just with him.

Unfortunately, I don't have the patience to continue to run hoping for something to drop, so I socketed my Skin of the Vipermagi, and I personalized a three socket grand crown (now I just need to find a Lem in Act I, and I can have a pretty spiffy Delerium Helm).

For SB:

Elites: Arioc's, Ethereal Edge, and Soul Drainer.

SB, you should be glad I put five levels on this char, as those five skill points will help you IMMENSELY in Act I. Otherwise you would have had some trouble.

This character, I have to say, will probably win the whole thing. So powerful, so easy, so safe. Hopefully enough people die off, so I get her again in Act V Hell.
 
Notley has also joined the ranks of Conqueror. I'll be sending her along on Saturday or as soon as we get the word. She's probably a bit ahead of schedule but I'll be out of town again all of next week. If the official week to do A5 is next week, then I shouldn't delay anyone at all!

@Skunkbelly: I have Hellslayer and Herald of Zakarum in my stash.

Back in town and excited to see two characters waiting on me. I'll have Pound through Act4 before the deadline, it's a tiny act afterall.

Sorry to CB and Butz for exiting, but I wasn't surprised to see Frost and Updike out of the tourney early. They were by far the worst characters I played. I should know about Frost since I originated him. Played through Act1 putting all points into Energy. Found out that Gorefoot's and Coif of Glory plus a ranged merc means everything dies without much worry and requires no skill point investment. Using the Malus to kill Andy wasn't fun though. If I had it to do again, I would have put the skill points into find item instead of taunt and leap, that was too generous:wink2: .

If anyone still wanted tables made for Frost and Updike, email me the info you've saved, I'll try to get something up this weekend.
 
I started Updike, and I am really not sure why people complained about her. Yeah, I put some stat points in nrg, but not all, and her skills were all placed in useful killing skills, that could have made a great javazon. (granted someone else would have had to pump dex more to equip higher level javs.)
