How do quest drops work?
Yeah, I was wondering because I might want to try it out..

I think you are confusing two things. First, there is the "Andy glitch" which is that if you talk to Warriv after the Andarial killing that gives you the quest, then forever after in that difficulty killing Andarial will give you the improved quest drop. Most people have the Andy glitch unless they did something odd. But Andarial is the only act boss for which this works. For Duriel, Meph, and Diablo you will get the improved quest drop only if you kill the boss and have not yet completed the quest.I just read something about this on another forum if this is the same thing. It said to do every quest in act 1 in order fully completed including the imbue then talk to Warriv and every time you kill Andy afterwards, she will drop "quest drops" which is like killing her for the first time every time for better rares and other stuff. You can do the same thing with Duriel as well.
That's actually pretty much backwards from how it works. If a character who hasn't completed a boss-killing quest kills a boss, that will result in a quest drop, no matter who made the game. If the quest wasn't available because the character who made the game already had that quest completed, then the character who hadn't killed the boss and who got the quest drop will be able to do it again and again, but if the quest was available, that's it and that killing character won't be able to get a quest drop again.Quest Drop:
When a person that hasn't complete a boss, say Andarial, opens a game, anyone who kill her will be quest drop.
Andy glitch is a 3 step program. Take these three steps without leaving the game. You do not need to do the imbue or any other quest. Just when you kill Andy the first time, pick up your goodies go to town and talk to Warriv and go to Act 2 and save/exit game. DO NOT talk to anyone except Warriv. DON'T get your items IDed by Cain or healed by Akara, just Warriv. And DON'T talk to Jeryan in act 2, enter act 2, save/exit game. After that whenever you kill Andy, she will drop like a quest drop everytime, meaning lots of rares and uniques.
And unless something has changed, this only works for Andy not Dury or any other boss.

Does the glitch then work forever afterwards, regardless of what you do?
Andy glitch is a 3 step program. Take these three steps without leaving the game.
1. Kill Andy for the first time in that difficulty
2. Talk to Warrif
3. Take Warrif's caravan to Lut Goleim.
Bessides that you can do whatever you want in that game.

To avoid Andy Glitch do this :
1. Kill Andy for the first time in that difficulty
2. Exit game
3. Create a new or join another game
4. Talk to Warrif
5. Take Warrif's caravan to Lut Goleim.
Indeed, gold is also a give-away that you managed to avoid the glitch. If she drops gold, your char won't be deleted when Blizz sends the rust-storm over the glitched chars.Yes, once you have the Andy glitch in a particular difficulty, then you will keep it forever, getting rares or better on every drop. You may still see some blue magic items as failed set items, but as long as you aren't seeing arrows, potions, etc. you're getting the benefit of the Andy glitch.
