=Weapon Notes=

* Damage Bonus: This determines how you multiply the item damage by your stats to reach the actual damage. Multiply by the listed value per 100 points in that stat. All bows are 100 Dex, almost all melee weapons are 100 Str, most throwing weapons are 50/50.
His "Watchtower" may refer to the {{iw|Túr_Dúlra Túr Dúlra}} ("Tower of Nature") which is said to be the greatest of the Druid colleges.
* Weapon Speed: A relative comparison to other weapons of the same type. 0 is the base -10, -20, etc is faster, 10, 20, etc is slower, always in increments of 10. Each 10 is equivalent to an SIAS item. Previously items were listed with WSM modified by ISA on the items, we have revised this to show the Weapons base speed (WSM) before ANY IAS.
* Range: Melee only. From 1 (least) to 5 (most) in D2X. Numbers are fixed across item classes: a 3 javelin = a 3 sword = a 3 hammer, etc.

=Armor Notes=

* Light Armor: No stamina or speed penalties.
==Diablo II Item Set==
* Medium Armor: +5% stamina drain and speed penalty.
Aldur's Watchtower is a moderately good set in theory, but the high level requirement of 76 on the body armor prevents this set from being of much use. The damage on Aldur's Rhythm is fairly good for its level (42), but it's inadequate at best once you can wear the body armor.
* Heavy Armor: +10% stamina drain and speed penalty.

This is an Expansion-only Item Set.

The full set bonus yields 350% Enhanced Damage, but this does not function as it does as it would on the weapon. The 350% bonus is added to skill and attribute damage bonuses instead. This is confirmed to be not a bug, but a balance factor.

Partial set bonuses stack. If you are wearing three items, then you will get the bonus for wearing two items as well as the bonus for wearing three items. Full set bonuses stack on top of the partial bonuses, so if there is a partial bonus of +40 Life, and a full bonus of +40 Mana, with the complete set, you would receive both +40 life and +40 mana.

Aldur is usually assumed to be a Druid of old by fans of Diablo, and his name is a popular one for Druids in Diablo fan-fiction called Winds of the Kae Huron.

His "Watchtower" may refer to the Túr Dúlra ("Tower of Nature") which is said to be the greatest of the Druid colleges.

Diablo II Item Set

Aldur's Watchtower is a moderately good set in theory, but the high level requirement of 76 on the body armor prevents this set from being of much use. The damage on Aldur's Rhythm is fairly good for its level (42), but it's inadequate at best once you can wear the body armor.

The full set bonus yields 350% Enhanced Damage, but this does not function as it does as it would on the weapon. The 350% bonus is added to skill and attribute damage bonuses instead. This is confirmed to be not a bug, but a balance factor.

Trivia

Aldur is also the name of a god in the fantasy series The Belgariad and The Malorean by David Eddings. He incidentally also started out living in a watchtower, as did his disciples in knowledge and magic. It's very well possible someone within Blizzard North enjoyed the books enough to give him a cameo.
