What was your biggest D2 Brain fart?

Mine was a couple of days ago.

I recently started again after not playing for about a year. I have never owned a decent rune word such as enigma but I was almost there.

I had a mule with Jah Ith and Ber on it, I had traded and MF'd hard for those runes and was just looking for the right 3 soc armor.

Well I pushed the wrong button at character select.

POOF

Now I have to start again

sorry to hear that. back in the days of .09 i deleted a mule filled with occy rings and raven spirals.. sure they were bugged duped items and belonged in the Void... i still wanted to cry and break my computer.

Good question!
My brian-fart was similar in nature. I was going to mule a few items and created a game in Normal so the low level mules can come in and pick up the items. Usually I go AFK for a few minutes so that the game is active for long enough to remain on while I switch mules. You guessed it, I forgot to leave the game on long enough and when I came back in with the mule I got the message "no such game exists". Fortunately I only lost a few pgems but it could have been worse as I've transferred torches, anni's and the like using the same method.

I constantly delete mules without checking their mercs -_-
Most've my mules - anni ones aside - are old characters Ive gotten sick of, and dont use for anything else.

i had a nice efort on merc and wanted to replac him with a similar merc to get one with a higher lvl to use a diff sword or helm, not sure, didnt un-equip before i picked a new one :banghead:

I asked like four people what they thought the damage on a highland blade I had would be if I upgraded it.

Highland blades can't be upgraded, since they're elite, but I forgot that after _every time_ someone told me it couldn't.

I hope I don't have a tumor or something.

my biggest brain fart was making an ik barb, not knowing that they aren't effective

lol lol
my biggest would probably be giving away my accnt and forgetting to get my 6 bo cta off it; when i started again; my /friend/ wasnt so nice anymore. :sad2:

I'm usually careful about things, so I don't lose much, but I did lose an Arachnids once when I remade a char. It blended in so much with the background of the belt slot.

Of course....I mean, after all, an IK barb doesn't have the Enigma, CoA, and gg Grief needed in order to be effective. Right?

hmmmm, I cleared game with IK Barb and continue to use it from time to time for MF runs and that is while using all of the available slots for ptopaz's and mf jewels.

My biggest mistake is when i lost patience and decided to mule my ap eni and a crapload of scs in a pub game(!). I got temp banned, and never saw em again.

Not throwing out the stupid D2 CDs when I had the chance
But aside from that, a big boo boo was back in .09 when I made a 'Fury' runeword in an armor. :undecided:

Way back when I started collecting organsets, I had a lot of trouble trading them. Finally I got desperate and traded two of them for an Enigma. Dumb move.

Why was it dumb? Because the enigma was built in a 443 def Shadow Plate. Who in their right mind would put a +70 str runeword in an armor that requires 230 str to begin with. Who needs 300 str?

Anyway it was only my second ever enigma and I brain-farted, figuring I could put it on my barb or something. When I saw my barb was more than 70 str short. I got so disgusted with it, that I just dropped it off in some pubby muling game. You should've seen those pubbies dart for it.

An eingma, even that one, is a hell of a thing to give up for nothing, and I wasn't nearly rich enough to pull a stunt like that. But it was a reminder to no longer make such desperate trades for worthless items.

My first enigma was in an Ornate Plate, heh.
Ugh. Waves of nostalgia. I wish I could go back to then, when you had to MF _a lot_ to get something useful.
Maybe a ladder reset will cure my woes ;D

Anyhow, dropping it off in a pub game was probably a bad idea. I traded my ornate for a boneweave, which I then traded for a dusk :D

sold a perfect CTA to some townfolk, was lagging and i wasnt really paying attention, i noticed next game. Either that or it was duped. 3rd i had some items on a merc, one was a eth perfect bonehew and well i hired a different one. Yeh things like that. And also losing some good items from muling and stuff.
