What is best UNIQUE armor for a WW Barb

I know I know I know, runewords own uniques. Still, I am making a unique only WW barb, who with his magic find stuff only is tearing up hell act 2 at level 69 right now. I haven't even tried him with his serious stuff on hell as I haven't had to.

Anyway, the question at hand is, what is the best unique armor for a WW barb?? Actually, make it top 3 best unique ww barb armors.
 
hmmmm for barb in uniques here are my choices.

armor - eth +2 valor
eth gbane

weapons - stormlash
gf
 
For uniques only...Valor is a very nice armor. at around lvl 85 (when u get to wear it) it's about 44 vitality i believe.

a good sword is The Grandfather :)

and u can use stormshield.

That, coupled with Arreat's Face and twin Stormlashes make for one cool and effective PvM barbarian :thumbsup:
 
PvP = av2 (eth zoded best ofc, if not use a 175-180ed with some godly jewel)
PvM = tyrael (oh yes, used all the other **** and this armor rox) (socket it with hell ^_^)

weapons:
imho axes rock, so:
Death Cleaver (socketed with 15max/40ed) (or eth with zod if you can afford it)
my barb using DC + SS does all hell solo, but I gues you can also use dual weap of some sort.. but, lord is overkill with DC.

maces:
storlash it also good

swords:
doombronger kinda sux...
godfather albo kinda sux... too slow...
so axes or maces.
 
If you are going with a 2-handed weapon a good Leviathan is a nice armor socketed with Um. The 40+ str gives a nice dmg bonus on a good 2-handed weapon. Infact Levi would probably be best with a dual wielder too for the nice DR% as well.
 
I would really like to know why no one has mentioned shaftstop(upp'ed maybe) so far. Does it really suck so much? Not even for dual wielders?
 
I'd say that levi would be better, dual wield + dr (no block) is needed ws wind druids (coa + eni) and smiters (here you can use shaft + arreat)
In all the other cases (I think) you eather need blok + dr or no dr or block.

yes it does suck so much

no resists
no hit recovery
relatively crappy defense

barbs don't need DR
 
I would take for pvp eth uped shaft over levi anytime. Up to 2.4k defense,life,more damage reduction. And for pvp,vs melee and windys barbs need all the dr they can get.

Lol all characters need DR and Shafts offers a nice amount of DR. Me personally think Shafts is one of the better Unique armors out there when Upped' Has nice defence.If your worried about resistance socket with an Um ??. Soo maybe you need to have a second look at Shaft's. A brilliant old school Budget armor that I will always have in my Barbs stash.
 
Alright once again....

3-4k BO life + purples/reds in belt = no damn need for damage reduction

people wear down their barbs with stormshield/shaft/string/insert DR garbage here and then come to the barb forum and say "WHY MY DAMAGE SUCKS!?"

you have thousands of life! that is your defense! concentrate the rest of your equipment for offensive purposes!

socket with an um?

why not just make an elite stone instead with that um?

more defense
60% fhr
same res as um shaft
slightly less life

gg garbage shaft

duress crushes shaft even more
 
I agree that "Stone" and "Duress" beat Shafts easy,but as the Topic says " What is best UNIQUE armor for a WW Barb " soo NON runeword. Soo against smiters you don't need Dr? Also most duellers like to balance out their Barb and not just resistance, Dmg and Fhr."purples/reds in belt = no damn need for damage reduction" Isn't pots in duells considered BM ?
