I still remember the stupid mnemonics they taught us... "ta" actually looks like "ta" if you fill in a few lines on the right, su looks like a pregnant woman (the loop is the pregnant belly, the bar is her shoulders or hat or something) which you call "Sue" in order to remember it, "ke" looks like a keg if you put a line top and bottom (the little tick on the side is the tap) and "te"... well, the rule for "te" was always kind of ****ty because it really looks like nothing, but supposedly if you join up the loop it's a tennis racket.
