These Stickies are Made for Reading Thread - Summer 2007 i

Suddenly I feel like drinking a few beers and singing:

On a long and lonesome highway east of omaha
You can listen to the engines moaning out as one note song
You think about the woman or the girl you knew the night before

But your thoughts will soon be wandering the way they always do
When youre riding sixteen hours and theres nothing much to do
And you dont feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through

Here I am - on the road again
There I am - up on the stage
Here I go - playing star again
There I go - turn the page

So you walk into this restaurant strung out from the road
And you feel the eyes upon you, as youre shaking off the cold
You pretend it doesnt bother you, but you just want to explode

Yeah, most times you cant hear em talk, other times you can
All the same old clichs, is it woman? is it man?
And you always seem outnumbered, you dont dare make a stand
Make your stand

Here I am - on the road again
There I am - up on the stage
Here I go - playing star again
There I go - turn the page

Oo-ooh, out there in the spotlight, youre a million miles away
Every ounce of energy you try to give away
As the sweat pours out your body like the music that you play, yeah

Later in the evening, you lie awake in bed
With the echoes of the amplifiers ringing in your head
You smoke the days last cigarette, remembering what she said
What she said

He-ey

Yeah
And here I am - on the road again
There I am - up on a stage
Here I go - playing star again
There I go - turn the page
There I go - turn that page
There I go, yeah, yeah
There I go, yeah, yeah
There I go, yeah
There I go, yeah
There I go, oo-oo-ooh
There I go
And Im gone

*is glad I can't hear his voice through the monitor*

There is definately something going on though. You're not usually around this much on the weekend. I call shenanigans!

Limewire?! What the hell possessed you to install that God awful Malware magnet? Ewwww....... My wife downloaded that crap once and it took me forever to get rid of it. My mother-in-law's computer is still infected by it to this day, after a few years. Of course maybe if she were nicer to me, maybe it wouldn't still be on there.

I've got that new Good Charlotte song in my head, they made a song that didn't completely suck ***, it's some kind of miracle.

down south.

Ha, nice try, counting on our being in different hemispheres eh?

So what's better?

I ran Lynn through the Deadmines lastnight.

First instance for her.

I'd go with MP3 Rocket, my wife uses it and has upgraded to the paying version. Limewire and Kazaa are the ones to steer clear of, they are full of Malware, spyware, etc. It's scary what they bundle with that crap. I'm sure there are tons of other P2P music/software sharing programs to use that are better than Limewire though. I've heard of folks getting hit with keyloggers running that software as well.

Yes, and my Mage is no where near ready to handle something like that on her own. :azn: I just remembered her pouches are still full of stuff, I haven't been on yet today.

I was actually up for another two hours after we logged off, went to bed at 4am. When I woke up this morning, I thought the clock said it was just past 730pm so I got out of bed. Then I realized it was still morning and only had three and a half hours of sleep.
