haha yea, that hurts, I found cleg's shield really early, but my dwarf obviously didnt know how to equip a shield, I'm still running around with my 'steel' battle axe ^^, instead of getting better aexes, I lower the /player-settings xD, I'd love meph to drop me a hefty axe :/

Shorter post this time - I've found more sets/uniques in a short amount of time than any of my tourney characters to date.

Death's Guard*

Pelta Lunata

It's really strange seeing as though the only MF is on my merc (about 46-50%).

I learned something too -- when you have a Defiance merc and you switch on Defiance yourself, your aura is negated (the two don't stack).

Sint - Are merc with offensive auras allowed or should we stick to the defensive aura ones? Same question with runewords - are we allowed to use runewords that grant offensive auras?
 
Fiwen is finally starting to roll. That early-game leveling is such a pain! Immolation Arrow is getting stronger, so I can ditch my Tal-Tal-Tal bow before too long. With the appearance of the Valk, Fiwen should be 100% ranged from now on.

No NDEs thus far, and items have been only so-so. She's close to pgems, so crafting will come soon. :cool:

Baal was in the mood for a spot of "hide the Ring" today, and after the 5th run I got bored and went to find the Countess for some rune hunting. I now have the runes for Honor, and just need a decent axe to put them in. For a lot of Act 4 and 5 I was basically just tanking for my merc, but now that Frenzy's almost maxed the damage is starting to increase, but a 7 frame attack is a bit slow for my liking, especially with an average damage of around 120 per axe and no CB (OW from Malice helps a bit though):undecided:

I might make Strength just to use on bosses, but it still doesn't solve my IAS problem. I might end up aiming for 6 frames, which only takes ~40IAS with 2 speed 0 axes, as opposed to ~110 needed for 5 frames.

AR hasn't become a problem yet, but towards the end of NM I expect to be missing a lot, so lets hope one of them rings Baal has is Green:laugh:. Really I want to get to NM Meph ASAP for some serious item acquisition as I'm expecting Hell to really mean Hell this time

Done a good amount of Baal runs now and still no ring, not too bothered though as the exp is good and I want to be getting towards lvl 80 before I hit Hell anyway. Baal may have been stingy with the Ring but I think he has dropped me my first end game weapon :smiley:

Back to killing Baal for that elusive ring....

Well i was doing good, and got drowsy running baal looking for the first ring. I got lazy and the next thing i knew i was dead. Had alot of fun doing this one, the hardest part was no shield. Good luck to the rest of you

RIP Gandhoop, nearly all my NDEs have been on Baal runs so far, I think it's only because of my massive life pool Toimli is still alive now. Baal still isn't giving me a ring, however, I was quite pleased to see these drop: :grin:

These gloves are a little bit awesome, the Council, Venom Lords and the Minions all drop like flies now. Baal takes about the same amount of time though due to less CB. I only have CB on one weapon now which may hinder me slightly, hopefully I'll find another off-weapon source soon.
 
hey, sint, are we allowed to use prebuffgear? example: Can I use +3warcries SPEARS to prebuff my shout/BO/bc and the switch back to my axes?
@milb: lucky bastard ;) thats all I have to say :p Do you mind listing your gear? I'm very interested since I rerely have been playing untwinkied barbs trough the game =)
 
You can prebuff. However, if your charcter is restricted to axes for example you'd have to find an axe with +3 warcries. Good luck on that :rolleyes:

Same goes for charges or the likes.. no wand of lifetap or lower resist you wussies :wink3:
 
awh, damn *runs to malak(or whatever the potionlady in act5 is) and ask if she could make a deal with larzuk for making +3wc axes :rolleyes:*

ok.. hmm, is there even possible to get + warcries on axes? :p

Finally got the ring, a pretty poor rare as you can see, can't complain about the amount of runs it took as I needed the exp due to playing 90% of NM at p3 or lower and I also got some pretty good items on the way.

Just a quick update from me. Just took Diablo down without too many problems. He dropped crap, but I did manage to find a dwarf star in the durance. Well done Milb.
 
Congratulation Milb! Fine work gaining the 2nd ring!:sunny: You are certainly setting the bar high for the rest of us.

I was tiring of the pace of this character, so I brought it down to P3 in Act 4. Fiwen easily cruised through Diablo, but didn't get anything useful in the act except an Amn Rune. This will go into an Honor weapon for my merc, if I live long enough to see a 5os weapon. :smiley: Diablo must have recently slain a sorceress as he dropped both Cathan's ring AND staff (along with some other useless junk).

Act 5 is whipping by, as Fiwen is just running up the sides of the various maps. I anticipate a number of Baal runs to get the first ring, so leveling isn't that big a concern right now. I just want to make some progress in my limited play time.
