I rarely turn on the heat, and I sleep with my windows open. I live in a flat so it's not that cold with all those below neighbours. Saves me heating costs.....I manage with blankets. That's another thing about living alone - I get home alone, have to cook and shower and by the time that's all done it is usually no use putting the heating on for those few hours, just for me.

Yea, makes sense. I know I would keep it at least a bit lower if it was just me. Why are you leaving the windows open if it is cold though?

Fresh air. If I do not, I feel like suffocating and wake up with terrible headaches. I sleep a lot better if I keep the window open a bit.

That's the somewhat nice thing about having forced air heating, it is always bringing in a bit of fresh air.

The dog only weights like 4 pounds, so It's just the right amount of heat!

No, that was a joke. I know exactly how old it is as it has the year right on front ('98) It is so then that I can literally put the front and back across my face and still read a book. I love it. It's name is Golden Boy.

She has threatened many times to throw it away. I have threatened other things in response. I did agree to throw out some of my old boxers as a peace offering though, they were of similar consistency.

I must say I found it pretty hard when I came back from my holiday to European / Hong Kong winters. Hong Kong was fairly mild (10C to 17C) (50F to 62.6) but it was a real shock to the system when I landed in Adelaide at 6am and it was 33C (91.4F) already ....
