The Noodle Compound V. 2.0

Took me so long to write this that I was logged out :p.
Good morning/afternoon/evening/night everyone .
Long-ish post ahead >.>.

I KNOOOWW!!! we need to find another good anime to watch. i think we started Hellsing, but haven't gotten far and with everything that has recently gone on, we haven't had time to pick it back up. :(

The anime group was pretty good at recommendations, though, it seems to be disbanded now >_<. Really, it just depends on the kind of anime you want to watch. Hellsing, that is a bit scary, right? (Not sure, so asking.) Someone gave it to me a few years ago, but it was misplaced before viewing >.>. Yeah, I should try to pick up watching anime again (besides the fact that I have still been buying more DVDs over the years without watching them -_- *points to self* foolish =P)... maybe next year ^_^.

it is amazing and pointless to the things you can find on the internet.

not everything is pointless. just a lot... makes for a good laugh or two... maybe three or four.... or a knee-slapper. :D :D :D

True, though most of the funny/pointless ones I have seen are mostly on TV O_o.

While new amazing ones are discovered all the time. The other day I was off searching for some nice drawing ones (and rewatching some of my all time fav ones :cloud9:) and somehow I happened upon some singing videos and there is this person who is just amazing. That person can even hit high notes without one's ears hurting O_o.

SNES, altho Mara has the Zelda for the NES downloaded on the Wii and omg! that game is fun when you know what you are doing! XD seriously, i would get so freakin' lost in the LoZ game for the NES that it wasn't fun. then i realized i had to read guides in order to know what i was doing. not finished with that one, but i think when i left off, we were at... Dungeon 5? or getting to it. one of those options. came home and been back to LttP ever since. :D

Is that Super Nintendo? If so, no idea if we had that game or not (though, likely we did as it was back in the time of buying and playing a ton of games ^^). I do not know how to download anything on the Wii >.>.

yeah, like, when i was little i played this and was just like, "OMG PRETTY COLORS AND A PINK PRINCESS!!!" good times. ofc, i had no idea what i was doing, but it was still fun. :D

Ahh, good times! With the old timey Zelda game, my relatives would draw out massive maps of the game/levels and put them all over the walls and such so that it was easier to play. Lots of fun too (even though I was just watching it all happen). \(^.^)/

i had planned on creating a "zen room" with an ocean-theme (i love water, shells, mermaids (i LOOOOOVE mermaids), etc). well, we got a roommate so the planned room i was going to do it in was taken by him and after some thinking and deciding, i was going to do a small corner in my room. haven't gotten around to it one bit. :\ it was just going to be a room/small area where there are no distractions, just me, my fish and ocean decor, and pure peacefulness where i can concentrate on homework or my writings.

Ah, I see. For some reason I see a room (like a closet, though, it would be a bit small depending on the closet) with one of those planetarium ball things for the lighting, but with fish and other sea creatures instead of stars. Maybe in the corner there could be a little sea section with sand in a tray/box with some shells on/in it (hope you do not have a cat >.>). There could be some pictures or cut-outs on the walls, maybe (though, maybe not) some shiny streamers hanging down to help bounce the light around. Hmm.. though, maybe that is too much, not relaxing enough... if so, just ignore this >_<.

It is a good idea to have a place to relax though as stress is so not fun. In November I was stressed out like never before and it even started to effect me in not fun ways. Though, all this text is probably not helping you, sorry. Almost done though >_<.

sadly, i haven't written a dang thing in forever.... :(

What kind of stuff do you write? Like...

Poems? Haikus can be quite fun ^_^.
Short stories? Picture books? Again fun, though drawing the pictures can be a bit more difficult.
Essays? Not as fun, though it can be interesting at times.
Novels? O_o Too...too difficult -_-.

Anyway, have fun! Unless there is some deadline for it, then, well, good luck :alright:.

The videos?

I've seen them all too, it's just a matter of finding out the edpisode title on wikipedia or something then going to youtube.

Ah, I see.

*Goes to try it out.*

Nice, found one of my fav Tex Avery ones ^_^. Thanks for the info!

Re: The Noodle Compound

The anime group was pretty good at recommendations, though, it seems to be disbanded now >_<. Really, it just depends on the kind of anime you want to watch. Hellsing, that is a bit scary, right? (Not sure, so asking.)

kinda... like, if you're into AWESOME AND TRUE vampires, it's not so bad. the episodes i have seen (which are not a lot, but still) have been pretty graphic. scary? eh... i guess if violent and graphic animes are not your thing, sure. :)

(besides the fact that I have still been buying more DVDs over the years without watching them -_- *points to self* foolish =P)...

dude, it's no worry. my mom is notorious for that. they have about over 400 DVDS and some of them, idek if she's watched. (we're movie buffs... even tho my mom and sister tend to like the really crappy sci-fi movies. >.>)

While new amazing ones are discovered all the time. The other day I was off searching for some nice drawing ones (and rewatching some of my all time fav ones :cloud9:) and somehow I happened upon some singing videos and there is this person who is just amazing. That person can even hit high notes without one's ears hurting O_o.

i saw this yesterday on FunnyJunk:

i felt bad for laughing, but my god..... some people should not post their covers on YouTube. that's all imma say. :whistling:

I do not know how to download anything on the Wii >.>.

me neither. Mara did it before we got together, hehe!

Ahh, good times! With the old timey Zelda game, my relatives would draw out massive maps of the game/levels and put them all over the walls and such so that it was easier to play. Lots of fun too (even though I was just watching it all happen). \(^.^)/

that's pretty awesome! ^_^

Hmm.. though, maybe that is too much, not relaxing enough... if so, just ignore this >_<.

no, i like what you said, esp. about the light and and tray of sand and shells. thank you! ^_^ we do have cats, but one is outside and the other stays in my roommate's bedroom most of the time (i am allergic to cats). and i had contemplated a closet that was big enough, but... i think i will just stick with the one corner in my bedroom. the room is big enough. :)

What kind of stuff do you write? Like...

filth and depression.... not really. it's crap. XD ok, seriously... i guess short stories, but i always called them "books" or "novels"... like, it is EXTREMELY hard for me to write a two page short story. EXTREMELY hard. so... my longest story filled a three-inch ring binder. that may not be the longest, but that can give you an idea of how much i write - rather, i used to when i had more leisure time. and i don't feel i am any good. im thinking about changing majors. then again, i might be running on impulse here. >.>

Hmm...a bit wall of text ahead here.

kinda... like, if you're into AWESOME AND TRUE vampires, it's not so bad. the episodes i have seen (which are not a lot, but still) have been pretty graphic. scary? eh... i guess if violent and graphic animes are not your thing, sure. :)

Yeah, anything really extreme I just cannot handle. Like, there was this one anime where the series was a comedy (with fighting, drama, etc.) while the OVA was the complete opposite and was rather bloody (at least for me as I started to get a little sick to my stomach watching it >_<). Though, the story was not too bad and it had more backstory and stuff that you could only find out from reading the then untranslated manga (the manga has since been licensed and completely translated).

Oh, yeah, vampires... the "true" vampires are the ones from the old days, no? For example, the first vampire movie or even back when Boris Karloff (is that spelled right?) was at the peak of his popularity?

dude, it's no worry. my mom is notorious for that. they have about over 400 DVDS and some of them, idek if she's watched. (we're movie buffs... even tho my mom and sister tend to like the really crappy sci-fi movies. >.>)

I have a few relatives like that, only most of the movies they tend to watch at least once. Those made for sci-fi channel movies can be pretty funny to watch with their graphics if you can make it through them ^^. Oh! So, that means any movie trivia question can be asked and someone would know the answer? Have you ever played any of the "Scene-It?" games? The only thing with those games is that they only have movies that I have not seen (except for one or two if I am lucky) >.>.

no, i like what you said, esp. about the light and and tray of sand and shells. thank you! ^_^ we do have cats, but one is outside and the other stays in my roommate's bedroom most of the time (i am allergic to cats). and i had contemplated a closet that was big enough, but... i think i will just stick with the one corner in my bedroom. the room is big enough. :)

That's one thing I seem to have always had...quite the imagination ^_^. The only thing is that it can sometimes run loose and/or I may forget all my ideas unless I write/sketch them out somewhere >_<. Like, there was this one time in grade school when I asked my mom what I should write for a project, when, randomly, I started coming up with this story about a T-Rex and commenced to talk nonstop for half an hour (that is a ton for me >.>). The only problem with that was after I finished and she said "Just write that.", I said "Write what?" as I had forgotten it all -_-. The result, a horrible bit of writting of what little I could remember :p.

filth and depression.... not really. it's crap. XD ok, seriously... i guess short stories, but i always called them "books" or "novels"... like, it is EXTREMELY hard for me to write a two page short story. Um...how much is a "three-inch ring binder" worth of writting? Sorry, I just cannot figure that measurement out T^T. Writting can be fun, so, as long as it is fun keep it up ^^. As for changing majors, while it could or could not be impulse, it is better to think something like that through for at least a few days as it could be challenging to change it later (as there may be a lack of class availability at some point or something else).

I've written some haikus (short and fun to think up), a couple semi-random (okay, one was more random than the other and it just made it more fun that way ^_^) picture books (bi-lingual actually, with the help of my sensei as I made one for a project)(even though I have yet to draw them out, though, I did do the sketches), and a bunch of old horrible stuff from grade school (the preschool stuff is pretty funny though with my spelling mistakes ^_^). All this writting (for my stuff) is weird though as English was and always will be my worst subject and I was not much of a reader or writer before.

Drawing on the other hand is kinda reversed. The stuff from my childhood has a few gems and a bunch of stuff from about a couple years ago (when I started up drawing more again) is rather horrible :p, though, it continues to be interesting and fun once I get myself around to working on any of it >.>.

Is it just me or do I miss chatting? Seems I went off on a few tangents there.

Quick! Someone talk about something else to decrease my rambling :jig:. (Does not see it happening.)

Re: The Noodle Compound

Yeah, anything really extreme I just cannot handle. Like, there was this one anime where the series was a comedy (with fighting, drama, etc.) while the OVA was the complete opposite and was rather bloody (at least for me as I started to get a little sick to my stomach watching it >_<).

yeah, i don't think you'd like Hellsing much. from what i have seen, it's great. just a lot of blood. like, the second episode, some young vampire punk kids killed a family pretty brutally, like, you see what they did. pretty messed up. *nervous scratch of the head*

Oh, yeah, vampires... the "true" vampires are the ones from the old days, no? For example, the first vampire movie or even back when Boris Karloff (is that spelled right?) was at the peak of his popularity?

ones that stick to the myth of:

1.) not sparkling like the ocean on a sunny day
2.) cannot walk into sunlight without a proper loophole (i forget what the crappy excuse Twilight gave because it is that unimportant) (and by proper loophole, i mean stories like Blade and etc. i can handle something like that. not "It's just how we are" or whatever bull hockey)
3.) takes a stake to the heart or decapitation to be killed
4.) allergies to crosses and holy materials/objects (this is optional for me as i've seen and read stories that can go either or)

Have you ever played any of the "Scene-It?" games? The only thing with those games is that they only have movies that I have not seen (except for one or two if I am lucky) >.>.

i have not. idk if my family would enjoy that, tbh.

That's one thing I seem to have always had...quite the imagination ^_^. hahaha, awesome. i think my mom saved some stupid story called "The Three Cockroaches" i did in second grade... dude, Mara's story was so much better than mine at that age! :rolf:

sometimes, tho, i have the same problem. the whole forgetting a good idea bit. >.>

Um...how much is a "three-inch ring binder" worth of writting? Sorry, I just cannot figure that measurement out T^T.

one of these.

Writting can be fun, so, as long as it is fun keep it up ^^. As for changing majors, while it could or could not be impulse, it is better to think something like that through for at least a few days as it could be challenging to change it later (as there may be a lack of class availability at some point or something else).

if i changed majors, i wouldn't be straying far. like, i'd still be an English major, just changing my areas of concentration.

I've written some haikus (short and fun to think up), a couple semi-random (okay, one was more random than the other and it just made it more fun that way ^_^) picture books (bi-lingual actually, with the help of my sensei as I made one for a project)(even though I have yet to draw them out, though, I did do the sketches), and a bunch of old horrible stuff from grade school (the preschool stuff is pretty funny though with my spelling mistakes ^_^). sounds awesome!! :D

Ah, okay. You might like the OVA I was talking about then (if you like bloody ones, maybe?) as it is a bit on the side of extreme at the beginning, more story in the middle and then end game battle at the end. Plus, it is only three (3) episodes long ^^. I do not know of any other extreme ones though as I watch mosty comedy/action (mostly comedy) type anime :p.

2.) cannot walk into sunlight without a proper loophole (i forget what the crappy excuse Twilight gave because it is that unimportant) (and by proper loophole, i mean stories like Blade and etc. i can handle something like that. not "It's just how we are" or whatever bull hockey)

Not sure what a loophole would be nor have I seen either Blade (even if we have it and I know someone who has seen it) or Twilight (will never see that one >.>). If memory serves, there was something (at some time) that had vampires able to go out in the daylight if they were completely covered up from the sun. Though, it did not make sense for two reasons. One, most wore all black, why not white or some other lighter color so as to not attract the sunlight? The other was that sunlight bounces off the ground and can still hit a person's face even with a hat/umbrella and I do not remember them with completely covered faces (in whatever I am remembering).

There was one anime with an "un-vampire" where they were supposed to be the opposite (good with all anti-vampire stuff like stakes, sunlight, etc.) while the family was still "normal" vampires. Also, in it, they said that they did not like garlic since the smell was too much for their noses . No idea why I ended up watching that one.

one of these.

binders-710727.JPG

You...you mean you filled that whole binder?!? O_O

So, like, a few hundred pages long, novel of some sort is your longest? Nice :alright:.

oh, crap! i forgot about that. hahaha, no, not like that. i meant he was born with it because his mother was bitten, like, the night she went into labor. that's ok. the wearing black thing, eh... i was okay with it. saw a vampire explode after they yanked out his teeth. sweet. :alright:

and i completely agree! black absorbs! why are you going to wear that if it absorbs heat?! XD and they put sunscreen on their face. idk an SPF strong enough for a vampire tho, lol!!

and i do not recommend Twilight. not. at. all.

There was one anime with an "un-vampire" where they were supposed to be the opposite (good with all anti-vampire stuff like stakes, sunlight, etc.) while the family was still "normal" vampires. haha, nice! garlic is another optional thing for me... leans kinda more on the cheesy side, but everyone likes cheese. :D

You...you mean you filled that whole binder?!? O_O

So, like, a few hundred pages long, novel of some sort is your longest? Nice :alright:.

yes, it filled it up. will try and take a pic and will post it up on here if you want. :) as for longest... tbh, im not sure. i feel i've written longer with one series i have. >.> thanks, tho. ^_^

my thing is if its good, i'll watch it. ^_^

Hmm.. that is more difficult as I cannot think of any at this moment. Though, you have probably been recommended a few already. Um...does it matter if it is long (say, more than 26 episodes, maybe even in the 50 pluses or over 100 O_O) or more shorter (under 26 episodes, maybe 13 or even less at times) or does not matter at all? Is "good", like, corny good or awesome good? As I do not have any favorite anime, how about "Final Fantasy VII Advent Children"? It is more of a movie than a series or OVA, but it can be fun, no? Blegh, I am horrible at recommending things -_-.

i meant he was born with it because his mother was bitten, like, the night she went into labor. that's ok. the wearing black thing, eh... i was okay with it. saw a vampire explode after they yanked out his teeth. sweet. :alright:

That is a bit of a stretch, sounds more like a human than a vampire :p. Where did you see such a thing?!? (As in the explode part.) Seems like a low budget or something else I have not heard of before film/series :scratchchin: (unless it was Buffy and I just do not remember it >_<).

yes, it filled it up. will try and take a pic and will post it up on here if you want. :) as for longest... tbh, im not sure. i feel i've written longer with one series i have. >.> thanks, tho. ^_^

It's up to you. How long did it take you to write it all? (Off hand estimate is okay.) Also, is a place like imageshack a decent place to upload stuff? (Looking to possibly upload a pic or two of mine.)

Re: The Noodle Compound

You two wrote a fricken book...

Haven't bothered to read yet. Will later, when I'm bored.
Hot chocolate now.
Yum.

Re: The Noodle Compound

This is a nice convo :D long posts are fun to read ^_^

I have an attention diorder so I can't always write so...shiny object on floor!!! :D

well... the last one Mara and i watched was Yu Yu Hakusho. which was GREAT. i was disappointed with the last season, like Marahumm, but it was good nonetheless. :D

umm.... i guess as long as it's not Bleach or Naruto long, lol!! (sorry, Mara. :p) and good as in... *thinks* just good. lol!! good storyline, good chars, gets to your emotions, etc. ya know? :)

HAHAHAHA, Blade. :D i didn't watch Buffy or Angel a whole lot when i was a kid. my best friend at that time in my life did and she told me about it every day on the school bus. oh, lord was she a huge fangirl.

It's up to you. How long did it take you to write it all? (Off hand estimate is okay.) Also, is a place like imageshack a decent place to upload stuff? (Looking to possibly upload a pic or two of mine.)

i have an account at imageshack. :D it's not too bad. sure, i'll upload some. :) um, how long? *thinks* the idea fermented in my head when i was about 15 and i started it then. but after doing some math calculations and figuring and more thinking and plotting, my numbers for birthdays and certain events did not add up so i had to restart over at about age 16. i think i was 17 or 18 when i finished it.... almost 18 because there was a scene i had written in the story that the two friend-girls i asked to edit it their reactions were quite amusing and that was February 2005. so, i think i was almost 18 or i had just turned it when i finished it.

I have a joke!

It is not child appropriate.

Check your PMs momentarily.

haha, and i sent one back to you. but i don't expect you to get it. >.>

<checks PM box.>

i send it to you! yes, yes i will!

if it is okay with Trionth. :)

You two wrote a fricken book...
This is a nice convo :D long posts are fun to read ^_^

Does it really seem that long? Once I get started talking about certain subjects, it can be a bit difficult to stop >_<. Plus, I was in a bit of a chatty mood :p.

I have an attention diorder so I can't always write so...shiny object on floor!!! :D

Makes it hard to sort things at times. Like when I try to clean my room...

*starts looking through some stuff*
*finds a book*
*commences to look through/read book*
*finds a toy*
*plays with toy*
*finds an interesting item*
*inspects item*
*repeat*
*hours later*
What the?!?
*sees a huge mess when the place is supposed to be getting cleaner*
*tries to put everything back the way it was before*
*decides to work on it tomorrow instead after little to no change to area* >.>

well... the last one Mara and i watched was Yu Yu Hakusho. which was GREAT. i was disappointed with the last season, like Marahumm, but it was good nonetheless. :D

umm.... i guess as long as it's not Bleach or Naruto long, lol!! (sorry, Mara. :p) and good as in... *thinks* just good. lol!! good storyline, good chars, gets to your emotions, etc. ya know? :)

Yeah, the matches started to get a bit stretched too thinly. Rurouni Kenshin was a bit similar (in length [95 episodes], also, it ran here at a similar time), though with RK, the last story arc should really be avoided as it has nothing to do with the original story. The manga was not complete so some writters tried to make something up and the show got cancelled before the real last arc could be added >_<. (The real last arc is a prequel of sorts and very different than the series.) *Knowledge from back when I was really up on all that anime/manga stuff. :p*

Have you seen Cowboy Bebop or Trigun? Those two are pretty good and have about 26 episodes each. Hmm... my ability to recall anime titles is failing me now. Um, Black Blood Brothers? That had vampires in it (I think) and it was more short (like 12/13 episodes), but all I can remember about it is that I liked the ending song >.>. Maybe a bit of action, violence likely, drama, comedy even? If you really want to know some other titles, maybe I can pm you a better list sometime, who knows :azn:.

HAHAHAHA, Blade. :D i didn't watch Buffy or Angel a whole lot when i was a kid. my best friend at that time in my life did and she told me about it every day on the school bus. oh, lord was she a huge fangirl.

Oh. I did not start watching Buffy until it was almost over with its original run as there was a channel that was showing all the old episodes, sometimes even in order ^_^. Though, one (maybe even two) of my relatives was way into it and ended up buying all the seasons' boxsets. Actually, as for Buffy, the other day I found this list of Buffy related questions (without the answers though >_<) and I could only answer maybe one or two of the 15 question as for before there was likely knowledge of them all or most .

i have an account at imageshack.

Ah, okay. I had one somewhere else (and it is still there), but I forgot the password -_-. Surprisingly, there are quite a few pictures, moreso than I remembered putting up. My favorite first few photos (as in, ones that I took like flowers & food) that may no longer be anywhere else, along with my random anime screenshots from that game long ago (it was a fun game, but it was on an anime site).

Wow, that is a long time to write one continuous story. So, did you have moments were the story progressed in different ways (than first imagined) as your style of writting changed over the years? Or, wait... you might have said that, sorry :embarassed:.

On another note... GYAAAAHH... *a flood of random to do tasks rush into my mind* ...I just realized what date it is today >_<. Less than a week to go and too much to wrap. I... I really need to curve back on my impulse buying for others, ba...but, it is just too fun . It seems that this has been the worst yet though, eleven (11) items for one and over eigthy (80) total as I just remembered that there is an item or two to get this weekend -_-. Well, guess I will be wrapping on the day like last year :jig:. As long as no one sees their gifts ahead of time I'm all good :alright:.

Re: The Noodle Compound

will reply back to your post in a bit, Kimiko. have a boss named Trinexx i gotta beat. ;) i just wanted to see if Laarz or Trionth got my joke. Laarz did!! :D yay! lol!!!

real fast tho....

i have not seen Cowboy Bebop nor Trigun, but they are on my list. Mara has seen them and enjoyed both greatly. :D

on WB channel (it's now called CW), there was a show called Charmed. i HATE - no, LOATHE that bloody show!!! like... ok, my family got addicted to it and bought the DVD boxsets. not a big deal. OMG, WHY DO YOU WATCH THE SAME EPISODES OVER AND OVER AGAIN ON TV, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE HAVE THE BOXSETS?!?! and i HATED Phoebe's haircut in season six, i hated how her char lost all playfulness, i hated how the show just was getting bad towards the end, like the writers couldn't think of anything good like they used to, i have not seen all of seasons 6-8 (or is it 9? idk) and the very last episode was so corny that i was picking kernels out of my eyes (no, not literally, but it felt very rushed and just... gah). because i had to endure so much Charmed, i hate that show now and for a long while, i disliked what's her name... Alyssa Milano. yeah, i just couldn't see her past Phoebe Halliwell. now, she's ok... kinda reminds me of this one chick i used to work with and stopped liking too, but management does things to people's head. seasons 1-3 are actually ok... i can tolerate that.

Re: The Noodle Compound

i laughed when you corrected him on his grammer. the name i can understand. i scrolled down once and saw the corrections and laughed. you guys don't think he was trolling do you? i mean... come on, ya know? i skimmed thru it quickly, but it sounded like y'all gave him answers the first time and he was like, "no, i seen it done before" etc. meh. can't say much as i am an overly paranoid person as well... but maybe not to his point.

OMG.... I'm about to go fight Ganon. wish me luck, y'all!! :D
