Tesladin vs Avenger: Best PVE

Hi guys! I played d2 a while ago, and recently started again. I wanted to know which build I should use for strictly PVE (most likely solo PVE). For those who don't know what I mean when I say "Tesladin" or "Avenger", here are the builds I am comparing. Thanks in advance for the input!

IMO tesla kills a lot faster and is more suitable for poor people but avenger counters all immunes and can get max resists (95% fire/light/cold) in hell and is good for slaughtering in pvm generally. If you just started over tesladin is much better, avenger requires too much mana leech which many people dislike. My shock zealer had the following skills when he was the first character I made on europe:
max zeal
max holy shock
max resist light
max holy shield
max salvation

He was poor at first but then fortunately I got some goodies in hell baal runs and then I was amazed how easily I could solo hell with gears worth about 2 ists:
Shako
upp'd Vipermagi
Hoz
Azurewrath (shael'd)
IK boots+IK belt+IK gloves
dual ravenfrosts
saracen's

I had like 1.3k-7.1k damage and azurewrath pretty much dealt with all the light immunes while the huge light damage dispatched all others in no time. Also I reached max zeal speed so killing was smooth as heck lol. I had 1.4k life without BO, I was poor and couldn't afford CTA, and 13k defense and about 7.5k attack rating with some random AR charms in my inventory. And max resists of course. But anyways, a tesladin has the highest damage a poor melee character can have and you could definitely solo hell with much cheaper gear than what I had.
