Stream your D2 gameplay!

Ok, I finally set up my new PC for D2 and sync'd it to my laptop! Going to test the stream now while I do some cow runs in 1.07


edit: did some troubleshooting and looks like I can't show ATMA without showing my entire display, which is a bit annoying

edit: down. Still considering rushing a new barb for 1.07 cows... plan is to use frenzy and find item to go crazy on /p1!

I had to go back 16 pages to find this thread!

I'm going to go live soon and reach lvl 99 with my 1.07 sorc. Come distract me in chat as well as see how painful cow runs + mules can be in HC when you're trying to be ultra safe

There was only 1 more cow than necessary to reach 99 (excluding king of course)

Here's a clip of the same sorc killing normal duriel in april 2014... so 4 years, with a 1 year break of not playing at all. Most of the effort wasn't put into 99ing, though I did push for 91 for crafting, that summer (July probably)

it took my barb ~10 months to reach lvl 99 and that's mostly all I did for that 10 months, D2-wise.
 
Wow that Duriel fight is pretty brutal. I see you have alot of full rejuves. Did you sell one to a vendor then rebuy them?
 
So in terms of hours, how long approx until 99? Does it take longer than in the current patch, or less so?

Edit: and big congrats of course !!!
 
I believe it's comparable if you kill council 15k times, and probably faster if you mp through cows. HC of course makes both of these a bit trickier due to the risks

Going to stream in a few mins, assuming everything is working. You can judge how poor I am at playing fire drood (or 1.13 in general)

ive been running around the internet. I like your method of streaming. do you have apage on how to set it up.
 
I just use OBS Studio. Lots of googling every time I try to stream since it's so infrequent and it's less intuitive than it used to be for making things the right size and stuff like that. You can also normally just use game capture, but with D2 (maybe only for windowed?) it tends to go to a completely black screen once you tab out of the game, which is annoying for viewers.
 
I have had some strange problems with OBS. For example, sometimes it will just not record the audio even though it knows it's capturing the desktop audio, and it's showing levels indicating it has a signal. but it just doesn't write it to your video file so it's completely mute.
 
That is weird. My only guess as a layman is that if you have an additional soundcard (besides the built-in thing on your MOBO) it might get confused about what to save.
