Spare Gris armor

They fall like flies and are totally useless... Why even pick them up? :P Not even a Merc could use it :(
 
One of my pallies uses one, and another other needs one. I've only been able to find one. I mf with my necro, but atma's wail and vipermagi are the best armors I've found this season. I'm not complaining, but I don't like people calling items that aren't the best end-game gear, or useful for unusual builds "worthless".
 
Well Griswold's Armor does not have any good qualities... I mean even if I make a Barbarian I would rather use a Viper Magi which is much easier to find too.

I've found over 10 Viper Magis this season. They're so easy to get and so much better.
 
Inu this is not a place to criticise the quality of a free item. Just because your gear is leeter doesnt mean that somewont wont find this armor useful.

Fairly self-evident given that Gris is a pally set, not a barb set.

And I heartily concur with Merick that, given the right build, Gris can be a useful armor, in conjunction with other set items or otherwise. High def, + skills, low requirements, and sockets. With the set, + resists and even more + skill.

But really, if you have the whole set, you're bound to have other items which are much more suitable for a Paladin since much better items are very much easier to find ( Hey common, Set Vortex shield? Caduceus?! Corona?!?! )
 
Maybe for you.. Then again you are just one lucky son of a gun. For another person, it could be their dream come true. :D Its the thought that counts, isnt it?

Griz Armour has three sockets.
Need Strength? BAM 30! PLUS 20!!!
FIFTY STRENGTH!!! WOW That would work for a maul weilding character nicely eh?
Need MF? BAM 72%!1
Need Life? BAM SOME NUMBER I CAN'T ADD!
Bottom line, is that if you're lacking in a certain stat and have nothing better, this is a good armour. Also has relativly low req too.
 
I use Leviathan :) 40-50 STR and Damage Reduce! Plus it's a quite easy-to-find Unique Elite (Compared to say, Death Fathom, Steel Pillar etc)

For MF I think Skullder is more handy. I think they're about as easy to find.

(It's 114 life btw :P)

And Deceit, it's not about being lucky. If one finds the entire Griswold set before finding say, a Harle (Most overrated unique. TOTALLY easy to find yet very expensive) that person has smoked some luckyweed... But even if you do complete Griswold set and wear it as a Palajjong, what are you going to accomplish? :P It does next to zero damage ( Hey 220 or so damage one a one-hand weapon ain't going to kill anything in Hell :P )
 
Lets face it, 108 (still counting) people read this thread and no one ask to have this free item. This reflect the worth of this armor and/or the relative wealth of people reading this section/forum.

May be I should post this in the new comer section. I believe this is a good intermediate armor for someone who either don't have a mf sorc to find items for them, or choose not to because sorc flood bnet so much.

I don't want to keep hearing someone say *fill_in_the_blank* is easy to find, just build a sorc, level her to lvl85, get some gear, act like a pindlebot and you will be rich. I quit public games not because of duper/cheater/mhker/botter, but the abundance of sorc, period.

Yes, I'm weird.

I think one of the things is the lvl and str req for the armour too, it's good for a low level character, Leviathan is sort of end game gear I think.
 
Inu, if someone wanted the whole gris set they easily could. They can buy the whole thing for perfect gems. And anyone can get perfect gems. Thanks to botters, high sets aren't worth jack squat.

Gris set is the one and only one set in the game that give you 12 socket. You can accomplish a lot which that, you are just lack of imagination.

Sorry but you may have missed something, it looked to me as if Merick wanted the armor.

I think that it may look to a lot of people as if this is the case. This could be a reason why nobody else has asked for the armor. He asked for it first.
 
Just gave another spare gris armor to a newbie on bnet, he seems to be quite grateful.
BTW, if Merick still want the armor he can whisper/PM me anytime, but I have heard nothing from him ever since.
