Kenyon came to me in Act2 NM, my first real caster, and as I had more than enough +Skills (Vipermaji, Lidless, amulet), she was quite powerful. I personally dislike single-element sorcs, and she might have had 1 in each fireball and firebolt. So I think I put every point in fireball. I've never played a "Blizzballer" as they're notoriously called, but doing a little research I determined spending the next several points in fireball would not be harmful. Sounds like she came out okay, and it's too bad she didn't go further.
As for my character I am currently playing, Gertrude the Amazon, I'm lagging behind a bit. Got caught up getting a character through Hell - look for Mat thread soon. But I loaded her back up last night and I will make the effort to finish her today So I can send her on tonight.

HD has defeated act 2, and will be passed on to Brak shortly. She breezed through act 2, with the exception of the Duriel fight, which was extraordinarily long and difficult: 300K worth of merc resurrections, and about 20 juvvies (and countless healing pots). Finally, though, he croaked. Whew.
Hey Hp_sauce, Bishop should be my Act2 character, however you sent him with no quests/WPs in Act1, I suppose that you have sent me the wrong version of him.
(I realized after I optimalized his gear...
) Gertrude completed Act1, two or three near deaths (forgot slow missiles, Andy has a pretty hard hit). Managed to roll a circlet with +Light skills and 4 res, doubt if it will be useful. Re-rolled an amulet and got +1 Sorc skills and 20 res, which my next characters will definately put to use.
Excited for Act2 w/ Eliot... have always wanted to try one of these Necros, now I'll see if I can keep him alive.

Wow, I've been hoarding gold like a madman. Only played one character with a negative balance thus far. Got about 2.2mil right now. Actually played through normal with about half and inventory of gold find charms to help collect cash. And ran LK a bit in norm and NM with GF charms to add a good chunk as well. Helps that I've only played one melee character thus far though. Casters are much cheaper since you never need to repair anything. Also saved up all my Orts and Rals just in case I have expensive repairs in the future, but since all the melee builds seem to be dropping like flies...
Have you considered selling off your stash items for cash yet? Definitely don't need your druid gear anymore. Also stockpiling potions helps so you don't have to spend gold on them. Good luck with your cash woes.

I'm in the exact same boat, Hoop. Worse off, really. 2.2 million? Egads. I had less than 20K, when I sent HD on. How the heck did you manage that? I mean charms, or no, that's a ton. I had a good amount, too, until I had to resurrect a lot towards the end of NM, and then, in act 1 of Hell. Down the drain it all went.
Come to think of it, I think I left that meager amount on my character, Skunk. Perhaps it was so small an amount, you didn't even notice:wink3:
No worries. I have some other amount in my Bank, from some previous tourney. I'll just take 15K, or so, from that, as I think it was around that amount.

I'm doing fine money-wise, around 1.7 million gold. I rerun areas alot and played normal and NM mostly on /players 8 and got in the habit of keeping enough room in my inventory clear for picking up all throwing potions, jewels, gems, and charms and I've been doing that all along. So that adds up! And since we can't gamble or shop, there isn't much to spend money on except repairs and merc deaths, which there haven't been many of for me. I left the merc dead for a few stretches to avoid having to spend much on short-term resurrections.
Unfortunately, I may need to dip into that rainy day merc resurrection fund with my A2 hell character. I've also been making and hoarding full rejuvs and have 300-some stored so I'm not shy about using them to avoid merc deaths, especially now that merc deaths are pretty expensive.

Sorry Hrus! You had me sweating for a second there, thinking maybe I had overwritten the one that had complete Act 1 Hell, but it's ok I found him.
I've resent him to you (just now), and hopefully that's the right one.
I'm really sorry about that, hope I didn't set you too far behind schedule.

Well this character you sent me finished A1 Hell, but has not completed all A1 quests (Blood raven and Countess), which is required by tournament rules. So what now?

Ok, I finished the Countess and Blood raven with Bishop and have re-sent him (again) to Hrus.
I didn't do the Countess because I hated fighting those damned PI Ghosts and didn't think I could use any runes she would give me anyway.
I didn't do blood raven simply because I very rarely do Hell Blood raven.
To be honest I had forgotten that it was required that we finish all quests, there are a lot of rules to remember and that is my excuse!
I'm actually fairly embarrassed right now, sorry everyone, but especially Hrus. I'll try harder next time!

No sweat, you weren't the only one who skipped those two (there was another culprit, and that has also been sorted out). Thanks for completing the character so promptly!

Olga has completed Act 2 and will be sent on to hp_sauce shortly. I await my Act 3 character which I think should be Notley from EJB.
Olga Broumas is the first poet I've had who has a current webpage as far as I can tell. It also appears that her publisher is pretty active about keeping her poems' text off the web, so no luck actually finding appropriate anything by her.

How funny that Olga Broumas' publisher is so militant... Olga herself is a very quiet, shy, humble Buddhist type... and yes, she's one of the few *living* poets on the list (Ai and Notley are the other two (and Charles Wright is, too, though he was dropped from the tourny before we started)).
