Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge

I myself will also be away from 12/23 - 1/1, so I won't be able to play in that period either.

I would like to make sure that everyone finishes act 2 on schedule (which means finishing act 2 on Saturday, tomorrow).

Everyone may also begin playing act 3 now, if you have received your character. And please feel free to send your character forward when you finish act 3. However, nobody should start act 4 until I give the go-ahead... and unless a lot of people make tons of progress this week, that go-ahead will most likely not come until New Year's Day.
 
Well, I just went to play my act 2 NM character(Lowell), and see I have to work my way from the Catacombs level 2 waypoint. Let's try and remember to go to the next area, eh?

Skunkbelly...I guess I have no choice but to replay this act 1 area. Sucks, because it's not exactly my favorite.

As far as the players X question goes, I always play in players 1, in these tournies. With MF and item drops being useless(well except for runes and gems and jewels), and it being Hardcore, I just don't think it's worth it to add the additional risk. That's just my .02.

Edit: Figures. A boss pack of Pitspawns, or whatever those magic ball spitting irritants are, right off the bat, from the waypoint. My merc didn't last 5 seconds. And, naturally, I have no skellies. This is not good. If I die, it should be someone else who gets knocked out! Half kidding.:wink3:

That's not fair- you shouldn't be the one to finish Act 1 so the previous person needs to finish the act before sending the character on.

Well, I already did it. A thought just occured to me that I could've maybe talked to Gheed, and gotten the offer. But, his little light wasn't on, so it didn't dawn on me, at first. Dummy me. He's offering now, and I lived, so no biggie, for me. It wasn't exactly easy, but we survived.

Aha- so you did have the quest! Probably the preceding player talked to Gheed (and dismissed the "!") just to ensure that the character had the Andy glitch and would get the quest drop indefinitely. I do that out of habit, even in a case like this one where it is not going to benefit me (or anyone else.)



 
You guys mean Warriv... right?

Definitely should have talked to him first before you did the whole quest again.

I don't know exactly what happened, but I'm positive I killed Andy. Sorry for any harrowing experiences you might have had and I'll make sure to park future characters in the act you're playing, so as to avoid confusion. As a side note, I remember almost not going to get the Cat2 WP - so it could have been worse:smiley: .
As for Kenyon, she's about to enter the palace so I will have her done and sent on shortly.

Andy only gave me a standard gem. No biggie. Heck, though, the Summoner just gave me worse. Nothin'. Not even a blue item. I thought it odd. A few scrolls, and some pots, I think.
 
OK. Lowell made it to act 3, and is on his way to Freekje.

Duriel didn't give me much(Sander's Gloves). But, I did get a HC grail item, and quite a nice NM find, in M'Avina's belt, in the Maggot Lair.
 
Bishop, after being on the shelf for a while has been sent to EJB. I've also received my Act 3 guy (Updike) from Waflob.

Tennyson sent out, and Sidney received. Nothing interesting to report on Tennyson, Don't think my life ever dropped below half a ball. They should both be around for a while. Will try to get Sidney through Act 3 before I leave on Tuesday.
 
I had a very busy week, but hope to complete act 2 NM today, so I can send him on. I will not be away for Xmas much, so I think I can get up during those two weeks anyway if I'm behind on act 3.

I hope it's ok :smiley:

The same here, I have only six hours of Diablo 2 in my Xfire profile for last 7 days, which corresponds with the MFL; I hope I will finish my character tomorrow, if it's OK.



 
HD wont be finished Act 2 tonight I'm afraid. Further more I don't think she will be finished by Sunday night either. She is about half way through right now and I'm hoping to have her finished and sent on by late Monday night.

Sorry Hrus, but I hope this is ok! I just had a bunch of exams, and now school is over and I am home with family to deal with.

Milosz the barbarian has completed act 2 NM and was sent to Gabriel. I did enjoy him, although he was not perfect. I found an Ort, a Dol and a Thul so that was pretty nice.

I will start act 3 NM right away with Lowell the necromancer. Let's see if I can collect some runes for my stash!
 
Ignatow completed A3 and was sent to Hoop.

This time I had quite a hard time with this character.

1st dangerous situation - FE beetles in Far Oasis.
2nd dangerous situation - Extra strong Dark Elder - I really underestimated him, and didn't drink rejuv in time - he almost killed me.
3rd dangerous situation - double viper pack close to viper temple entrance - 7 Full Rejuvs drunk (only 1 left)
4th dangerous situation - Fangskin - I managed to escape easily, but had to restart...
5th dangerous situation - Extra fast FE scarabs in Canyon of Magi

.... I had fun :wink3:
