I'm confused by something in the rules:

Firstly, this says we can Personalize ANY item....

6. Personalization Reward: this quest reward is now useful! You may personalize any item once you’ve defeated Nihlathak—ANY item, whether it’s from your ATMA stash or not. If the item is NOT from your 99-item stash, you may only equip it and store it in your ATMA stash AFTER it has been personalized (therefore, like the imbue quest, this limits you to items actually found in Act 5 of each difficulty level). However, once it has been personalized, it’s yours to use for the remainder of the tournament. You MUST use this reward before leaving act 5 for a new difficulty level… no saving it for later.

But, then this says we may not pick up any other items....


OTHER ITEMS/GOLD: You may use any of the following items that you find: charms, socket fillers (gems, runes, jewels), keys, potions (including throwing potions), arrows and bolts, and scrolls/tomes. You may also pick up and use any quest-related items, and any gold you find. You may NOT pick up any other items, not even to sell them. If you accidentally pick up an item, you aren’t disqualified—just drop it when you realize the error.

Do I misunderstand?

Edit: And, do I understand that we can't pick up anything else, no matter how good it is? Um.....I've never seen some elite uniques and sets. If those drop, I have to leave them on the ground? Yikes....even a Windforce?

Edit 2: Ok, I see there was further discussion, but the rules weren't updated. So, we can pick up items in acts 1 and 5, that we may want to use for those two quests.

I also see, now, there's a later statement that allows us to mule off goodies we want to keep, to ATMA. Contradictory, but I get it now.
 
it says you will be able to pick up items to personalize socket imbue as you go but only out of the act you are currently playing
 
If you find items you wish to save for other characters, you may certainly mule them off... just be very careful that they don't accidentally end up in your game stash. Nobody needs to give up a Windforce on my account!

Speaking of elite uniques: thanks to everyone who contributed items for this tournament. It made a big difference, and those who survive long enough to enjoy them will be grateful.
 
I couldn't help myself...so Ignatow is sitting in Lut Gholein enjoying a nice, relaxing week-long break.

Not much to note from the journey, except that it felt REALLY weird to twink...I've NEVER had 200 defence before leaving the Cold Plains before. Certainly made life cruisy though. :)

Yeah, I couldn't resist starting last night either. Ai has defeated the Countess. Easy going so far.
 
I also got started last night. I didn't even wait to twink, I just started playing!

When we're done we just e-mail it to the next person below us on the list, correct? Not that I'm done yet, but I was just wondering.

Also, any chance we can all agree to put something usefull in the e-mail subject when sending the characeters along?

yeah something along the lines of:

" SUTC - next char "

I completed act 1 with my char, but I will continue running until I am satisfied. I don't think I will be able to kill the char anymore :grin: , so it's safe to do so.

yea I started last night also but not to much figure I have all week so I will take it slowly.

JoeBruce, unfortunately, that's my work account... I won't be able to try to resend your stash until Monday morning (most of the stashes are on that computer, and not here at home).



 
Quick question, couldn't find this in the earlier part of the thread so sorry if its been answered.

Can we wear or starting gear?

So the way I read that, is that that the starting gear stays with the person who starts that character, not with the character. So if your starting character is a paladin, you get to keep the sword and shield for potential use later on with whatever character you have at the time.



 
Thanks for finding that, I thought I had read that earlier, but have been boxing just in case. Blood Raven should be a tad easier if I'm not barehanded.
