Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

I have sent Amidala to Gahzban, and received Dooku from Nualum.

Without breaking our speech restrictions before Tuesday, I just want to thank WoRG and Nualum for what they did with Dooku. Whomever had Dooku before WoRG apparently acted within the rules but not within the spirit of this tournament.. More on Tuesday.

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Congrats, Wolron. And: you have too much time on your hands

I had larzuk put a socket (only one, drat!) in a nice piece of rare armor. That armor is too heavy for Dorme to wear, but the merc will enjoy it until she grows up. The thing that I want to verify is that I can use that rare armor.

Anything that you've had Larzuk stick a socket in can be used, yes. (And also, rares can only get one socket from Larzuk, so you have no complaint about your luck.)

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Farr sent to Skunkbelly. Sorry I didn't get him to you before my trip. Good luck.

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Brak, you should have antilles now. I also just got home from a trip, enjoy

awaiting a char still from worg .. i cant even be bothered to go back and work out what character it is! it'll be fun no matter what

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Vader awaits the coming nightmare, and I wait until Tuesday to say any more :)

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Farr received, and I'm looking forward to him. And for what it's worth, Brak: I picked the exact same level 30 skill you did on my last character (though I didn't worry about whether it was a bad idea... I thought it was a natural!).

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Soulmanz, Solo the Barb is flying your way, eager to resume the assault on the forces of evil (as long as there's something in it for him!) I was really happy with the way things came together for him...true to form, He's a tough hombre, but the real damage is dealt by his sidekick :whistling:

Organa has arrived and is currently taking a small break after crushing the forces of Shenk. She is considering her options for her socket reward, but will hold off for the moment, as she's got to go rescue some barb warriors for Qual-Kehk...

Offee finished just in time (no thanks to a dead keyboard) and sent off to Hoop.

Edit: Binks received.

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

OK, NOW HEAR THIS!

I have seen two characters at this point with fairly ridiculous usage of skill points. One can be dealt with, but the other character is pretty much broken. I am trying to figure out what to do about that situation, and am investigating who made the completely absurd assignments... they will be dealt with harshly (which will most likely mean getting their own character back, immediately).

For everyone else: please remember the rules clearly state that the goal is to make viable characters.

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

RIP Beru Got distracted and a moment later got prisonned and lightened by Big D. First time in long time I lost a char in Normal difficulty.

Did received the char from Quickdeath a immediately followed him to pwangsta.

Sorry to let you down and good luck to all those remaining.

Ill post the char with full stat later this week (Im still shocked).

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Sorry to hear that, Gahz. RIP Beru.

On a brighter note, I had Amidala in Act 2 and am eager to find out what has happened to her. Unfortunately, that will likely have to wait until after the MFO, which is where the little spare time I have this week will be going.

Well that's good to hear. I'd have much rather spent the skillpoint elsewhere. Can into more detail tomorrow I gues.

Always interesting to see how people view character building decisions differently.

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Wow worg. His sidekick is kitted out to the max! Now... What to do with this last power... this one is a really tough choice... leaning a certain way but after skunk getting mad don't wanna push the line of what is 'viable'. I really have been trying to incorporate something about the original SWs characters' ... uhh ... character, in the builds

Hope I didn't gimp any character, fairly certain I didn't, but this can be subjective

Ps sorry to hear the deeds gahz

pps decided on the skill ... took the leap. Hope all dont disagree too strongly

Offee is done with act 5 and cows. May do a couple more runs to find some items worth keeping.

Re: Skunkbelly's Ultimate Tournament Challenge 2011

Fisto is now a Destroyer, but the cow level is yet to be played.

When I got him, he was about 3.5 levels younger than what I usually start with in Act V, but he eventually caught up quite well, ending up only around 0.5 levels shy of the lower end of what I consider 'normal'. I guess it took longer for him to reach a state of "massive overlevelness" vs. the monsters, so the XP gain was higher than usual.

The next player (or even the next couple of players) should thank me for what I did with the socketing and personalizing. After killing Baal, I spent almost 2 hours gambling nearly 3 million in gold on a few item types. Fisto will have to level up 3 more times before he can equip the item I socketed, but I think it will be of great use throughout Nightmare (character or merc will both like it!) since it´s much better than the readily available runewords in that slot. The personalized item is also pretty cool, I think, and it´s not something that can be runeworded.

Cows await. Money for Fisto and some nice socketables for me.
