I'm going dual claw with a slightly different placement of my points. My char feels much stronger at this point than last time. I've been trying to get alot of Damage reduction mods and life leach. Seems to be working so far. My MF is suffering greatly though, matter of fact its like 9%. :o Resists are in the tank too, but no probs with that in Normal mode of course. Still no luck on getting a +skills circlet though.
All the free time I thought I had was blown doing errands and such over the weekend. But its all good!

Also don’t forget to identify all rare helms, +shadow skills are available on any head gear. For example I used nice rare war cap with +1 shadow skills and good defense… until I found Sol…

Made it to the Outer Cloister, and nice to be able to start doing NM Countess runs. Using a lot more pots and Full Rejuvs, now, though. Mostly in trying to clear out the hordes of Carvers and their Shaman, and attracting all the surrounding monsters, running around to find those darned Shaman! Cloak of Shadows makes you brave. Might have to start rethinking my equipment, as well, as my resists are mighty low, now. Waiting for my first Sol, for my Rhyme.

My 100% MF seems to be doing pretty well, though. Found a Milebraga's Orb from a chest, in a Carver camp. Tearhaunch Greaves from a chest on level 5 of the Tower. And, the Countess herself dropped the Rockfleece armor. Not bad, at all, for just going from the Dark Wood wp to the Outer Cloister. I'm now wearing two of them, and seriously thinking about the Rockfleece.

Ranged merc and no Teleport was a bad recipe against Nihlathak. What a mess...If I get here a second/third time, I think I will have to get Isolde killed before I take him on.

I have a somewhat decent rune collection now, topped off by Ort, Thul and Amn. The Amn has made me think in terms of the "poor man´s CB weapon", 'Strength'. I have come to the conclusion that my best choice is Phase Blade, then Cutlass and after that, Kris (and its "advanced" relatives). It will probably be a Cutlass, because they are available much sooner than Phase Blades.

I have some questions regarding the rules. As you know shadefallen and I played MP in this tournament. But then her zon got killed by some stygnians on her way to mephisto. She has started up a new zon for this tournament and now we would like to know:

1. Shes on her way through normal. Am I allowed to help her out with my druid whichs sits in act 1 hell?
2. Can I trade (donate) some equipment to her from my stash?

And now for some news from my druid:

I found a hone sundan
And a Pierre Tombale Couant

Of course I shipped the hone sundan of to my merc and he immidiately began to kill anything in sight even lister and baal which he up until now had huge problems with. I threw some shaels and one amn into it but now I dont know if I made a mistake with the amn? What do you think?

But im still having huge problems with PI :( But I have two wands with attract and confuse and my coronet have dim vision charges on it so I think im ready to proceed through hell...

@SharnMess: better wait for corax to hear what he has to say to this. It is his tournament.

As for my opinion, I would say it would go against the spirit of the tournament rushing her to Hell with twinked items. This still is an untwinked HC tournament.

 Nice find with the Hone Sudan.

As for the rushing/twinking, I don't like it. I believe the rules say trading is OK but clearly uneven trades/twinking is IMO unfair to other competitors, as is rushing a low level character.

5. New chars only, untwinked

7. Trading and Multiplayer are both allowed. Although only gear yet to be muled off may be traded. MP to be conducted only with other tourney entrants.

I don't think the rules account for your unique situation, but I think it can be compared to someone running 2 or more characters in the tourney and using a combined stash/shifting items between characters or using multiple versions to rush characters - not in the spirit of the tournament.

Of course it is up to corax, but for what its worth I vote no.

Hmm, rule #7 says you can only trade stuff still on your char (including the town chest), not stuff that already went to the ATMA stash. This would forbid outfitting another char with items you collected earlier and put away to the (prize) stash.

Rushing itself surely is cheesy, although nothing in the current rules seems to forbid that.

If I were in your situation, I'd consider restarting BOTH chars. Corax once said it would be allowed to enter new chars until end of september, so this is perhaps the best way to avoid the 'trading' hassle. Always playing in a team is already an advantage by its own, having double killing power and combined skills compared to solo players on P8.

That reminds me, I've had pretty good rune luck, myself. Found two Orts, and an Amn, in my little sojourn, tonight. In addition to the Thul and Nef the Countess has given me in two runs. Somewhat surprisingly, I had already gotten an Amn, late in normal. I was just saving that, and waiting for a two socket War Scythe, for my merc, for the aforementioned Strength. Lo and behold, I got one, early in NM. Now, where is that Sol for my Rhyme.........oh, Countess......yoohoo, Countess............

@Randall, Shadow Druid and Cormallon:

I agree with what you said. It would go against the nature of this tournament to rush a char thru the game. And since its untwinked the trading part would be very unfair to the rest of you :)

Hmmm but what if she reached my level/where I am in the game?. Would it be fair to trade some equipment then? If she has something I want that is :)

@Shadow Druid: Yeah it was a VERY nice find :D And the other polearm dropped just 2 min later... But now I want some weapon with sick elemental damages to stuff down those pesky PI's throats!!! grrrrr

Is rhyme changed, since when does it need a Sol ???

Rhyme needs Shael-Eth as far as I know, Lore is a nice and cheap runeword needing Sol.

Things have become a lot easier as I've gone through NM difficulty which I can only attribute to me playing a lot smarter than I was earlier - staying well away from danger and moving into dangerous situations much more cautiously.

Gambled a nice circlet:
Glyph Circlet
Circlet
Defense: 62
Durability: 35 of 35
Required Level: 33
Item Version: 1.10 Expansion
Item Level: 65
Fingerprint: 0x2f9ebb23
+32 to Life
+100% Enhanced Defense
Damage Reduced by 6
Magic Damage Reduced by 3
All Resistances +19
+1 to Assassin Skill Levels

Not much use to me, but I imagine an Assassin would greatly appreciate it. If anyone wants it, it's available for trade in exchange for anything useful to a Hunter or maybe some PGems or even a future trading credit if you don't have anything to trade at the moment.

@SharnMes: I've only encountered 1 PI as of yet, and he went down easily due to my OrtOrtRal Bow plus my nice charm (1-75 Lightning Damage, 50 poison damage over 6 seconds). Since then I bought a Cruel Long War Bow of Slaying (10-83) which does more damage thanks to HoW and my Might merc so I sold my runed bow since I have a Buzzing Long War bow (1-256) for elemental damage if required.

Nathan, lvl 52, Act III NM
Quest: The Golden Bird

Allthough as druid you have less summons as a necro, being able to cast them at will (and where I want them) is really nice. The maggot lair is no problem at all, casting a new grizzly when the current one is wandering of.

For now most of the time I have the 3 wolves, they give enough power and are capable of "containing" (or keeping busy) of larger groups. I also keep casting the poison vine, allthough he really keeps dying fast. As long as monster swing at him, they are not hitting something more important like me. And when the wolves are dying fast or in tight areas the grizzle is very usefull.

I've seen no PI's so far, but that's nothing strange for mid NM. They will appear in greater numbers upon enterring hell.

I am slightly worried at my relative low level compared to playing Act III NM. Not that I have any problems with it right now, it does mean my general stats are getting on the low side which could be very unhealthy in HC.

I agree, that is a fantastic Circlet. I'd be more than happy to put it to good use. Unfortunately this character does not have much to trade. I have a mere four PGems on this character. So its up for offer if no others are interested. I'd always be willing to keep an eye out for nice druidic gear of course. :)

Well, I too like that circlet. Alas, for a Druid such as yourself, all I have is a measly, blue +1 Druid skills circlet. Not sure if you want that.

How many perfect gems might you want? I have at least 12, now, but would prefer to keep the two perfect topazes, and maybe perfect diamonds. Would 8 p gems be enough?

I got nothing good from Mephy yet, but gambling was more profitable (at least if she were a Druid or a Sorc).

This Circlet will be filled with PTopazes asap:

I'm naturally looking for +skills for Amazon (Circlet, Amulet) and resists. I'll probably mule them off tomorrow when I continue questing, if still alive. :)

I guess I'll run it as a PGem auction closing in say...7 hours to give others a chance to bid. I don't need all the gems now, so you can bid some future gems as well, just as long as I get a decent amount of gems now.
