Show me some good mods

I was refered to this forum as being pretty mod-friendly, my apologies if I'm wrong.

Can anyone point me at a good mod actually worth playing? I tried ZyEls and Median, but ZyEls is boring beyond belief and very imbalanced and Median has too many useless skills and is way too hard.

Is Eastern Sun worth playing? Please list the pros and cons that I can make an informed decision. Is it better or worse as Median?

Or is there other good mods to try?

Or, you never quite found out how those useless skills actually work and you want everything to drop dead in front of you.

PS: count yourself lucky you didn't say something against the ToS and got yourself banned, which was more or less what I was hoping for when I pointed you to this forum.

This sounds like something you may want to discuss in private. There's no point in making an arse of yourself in public.

He started it, he's been flaming me for weeks through email and on the Keep.

And other such brilliant posts. Yes, I'll definitely just sit there quietly and let him spread FUD about my mod.

I understand the SPF community sort of turned away from Median after Lord Vega slammed it a couple of weeks ago, but that's free-market competition. What this guy is doing is just spamming negative feedback until I give in and make his precious sorceress overpowered. That's not fair.

Ok, ok, whatever. I'll find a way to make him shut up without flaming back. Not that my rep on this forum could sink any lower to begin with, but I don't want to get banned either.

Laz, just let it go. Your mod is far over-hyped (sp?) and you're an attention whore. I used to like your mod but not anymore, you keep nerfing everything and mocking your players as they're investing 20 points into a skill you made useless.

And rather than making your mod better, all you do is flame me, you retard.

I can understand you two guys publicly flaming each other, even though it's not appreciated in most places. What I can't understand is why you're flaming here if it started somewhere else.

The last word in Durach's post (#10 in this thread) is enough to get an official warning, btw.
 
Well, as far as I can see, he got angry with me because I nerfed his character in a patch, and now he proceeds to spam the same old 'Median sucks, Laz doesn't want to fix bugs, this mod is way too hard, sorcs suck' tripe in pretty much every post he makes on every forum he visits.

By the way, an email from him earlier today warned me that he was going to 'make my online life a hell on earth'.
 
However you do make your mod, you won't be able to please everyone.

Let him air his frustrations if he needs to. Accept him not liking your mod and leave it at that. You made the mod, you ultimately decide how it's going to be.

It's not easy to let these kind of things go I know, but you won't accomplish anything by engaging in an insult exchange.

To the original poster. I don't know of any mods other than the ones you allready mentioned, but I heard eastern sun is ok.

The moderators here have been growing more and more scarce, and threads like these are becoming more and more common. AE and Krem do a bang up job keeping this kindergarten in line. Bringing your fights here is great theater, but don't expect a welcome.
