PvP Moor Challenge! Best vs The Rest (3v4)

What realm would you recommend I play for my first Hard-Core D2 account?

Liquid and his team will dominate. Hard.

Actually, I don't think they will. I am not saying that I think they will win or they will lose, but I don't think it will be an easy contest and the votes reflect that.

Presuming that everyone brings their previous characters, the red team have solid characters all of whom are quite capable of scoring kills.

If you look at the videos of the previous fights (link in my sig /plug); the only character who really got picked on was the amazon. The necro, assassin and druid were all picking up a number of good kills. Now that zon has protection. Mr Barb-enigma-arian isn't going to have so much fun teleing and whizzing through a hammer field. Mr Here One Second, Gone The Next probably won't find arrows being shot at him from two screens away quite so amusing. And Zippy the sorceress will have to move quickly to avoid four opponents working together. (It surprised me during the last few rounds of the Moor Challenge that the contestants didn't gang up on her. I would have.) Look at the 2v2v2 fights (I think Denton still has them hosted) a team effort is a very different proposition. IIRC a hammerdin/zon team did pretty well.

Again, I am impartial; I am not tipping anyone. And no I am not a PvP strategist; it took me days to work out why Doomas kept jumping up and down - I thought he was being frivolous.

I think this is going to be very very interesting.

It was pretty late, so I'm pretty sure that you meant "whizzing through a Tornado field" (Hammerdin is in the same team as Barb).

Agreed. Ranged vise our(Blue) team is at a great disadvantage, mostly thanks to the bowazon, but I'm still fairly sure that it should be interesting. : T

Actually, Denton that was abosolutely deliberate. Oh yes. Really. I was concerned that there wouldn't be any humourous moments. You know, people forgetting their gear. Losing their HoTo's on the cursor. 80% of the field not being hostile; except to me. Taking so long to pre-buff, eveyone else has to redo theirs... The sort of things that make PvP Fraps so enjoyable. So I thought, let's confuse the Red team and see if they notice. Good for a giggle.

That's my excuse and I am sticking to it.

Red team wins, because in here i think quantity matters more then quality:D
Plus druid is my favourite char.

Well, I just got a PM from Doomas practically begging for some kind of handicap in his teams favor, so I suppose I could give the blue team the point scoring advantage. We could do it off of +kills with 1 kill netting a single point. The blue team would get 4 potential points each round while the most the red team could get would be 3.

If you call it a handicap in blue teams favor then your more desperate than I thoght:wink3: Well atleast we will finish this challange much faster, wich means it will be less traumatizing for your team Liqy boy, beeing beaten over and over again affects mans :cough: health :cough: if you know what I mean:grin:

I voted for the Red Team. Since they're all casters (I assume, unless Liq goes the Fury/Rabies route), they can play defensively, pick off the Sorc and force the Pally and Barb to walk into their spells. Plus 4v3 is always at a distinct advantage simply due to numbers.

GG idea, by the way.

I think we should get some side bets going.

How about an over under on:

Average time it takes for Sint to PreBuff
Number of times DooM takes out Kefir
Longest round
Who gets the most kills, how many
Who gets killed the most, how many times

Oh, also had a minor request for Thyiad. Would it be possible for you to party with a different team each round? That way we can see the life bars of half of the players on the vid. That'd be really cool.

Which judging from last nights play with Doomas with a dedicated PvP character and not a naked Pushkin  means a very dead Thyiad very quickly.

I like the idea of running a book though. Care to try and set up a table for tht?

Edit: Grats on the table  However, Pushkin runs with a LOT of FRW to keep up with those guys - she'd lose that at level 8.

Doh, forgot about the auto-party hostile. Is there any way to bring a level 8 character into Hell. Maybe Classic rush then convert. This way Thyiad can't be hostiled?

Here's a shot at the table:

Code:
Estimator Sint's Prebuff DooM kills Kefir Longest Round Most Kills (#) Killed Most (#)
Brak 4:12 11 4:11 Denton (24) Kefir (13)

-Estimating Sint's prebuff on the guess that he'll play a cold sorc, with TS as a lightning backup skill, that uses a +3 enchant leaf staff and 10 fire skillers to enchant his party. So three different sets of staves, ammies, circlets and skillers (can you fit all that?)
-Dueling will most likely finish up faster than the prebuffing.
-Denton get's the most kills since their are more opponents for him to kill.
-Sorry for the bleak outlook Kefir. I think you are the most vulnerable on the Red team, and at the same time the most dangerous with GA. You will be targeted. Maybe a teamate could lend you their enigma for the greater good.

And woot for my first ever table.

Brak, partying with a team means being hostile to the other team.. means dead Thyiad.

You can have the other team unhostile Thyaid so their attacks don't target her. However you have to ensure that she doesn't have any offensive spells on either left or right click so that she doesn't accidently hit the other team.

Code:
Estimator Sint's Prebuff DooM kills Kefir Longest Round Most Kills (#) Killed Most (#)
Brak 4:12 11 4:11 Denton (24) Kefir (13)
Liquid 2:45 0 3:03 Kefir (12) Doomas, Denton, Sint (3way tie)

One more day of trash talk before Sint hits the fan. Tomorrow it goes down! Are you ready???

Hits the fan as in 'high 5's the fan club'? Yeah. The question is are YOU ready? I mean.. if you guys are as ready as you were in the FFA we'll mop the floor with you.

Easily.
