OT - Want join a WC3 clan with NF?

Blackjack and Hookers... Yes, we're clan Bah!
Death or Honour... Clan Doh?

I like SPF(ers) as a clan name, but we have to come up with a decent reason for it... Maybe clan Super Power Fish?
And since I don't have an account on B.net yet, I'd go for the clan tag in the name. Also, just PM me if you need an extra person to get the actual clan formed.. Cheers!

I'm with you on this one, I think using SPF is good, since we will all know what it means, but I think it should stand for something fun.

As for time, I'm GMT -7, so lets see...

I'm available weekdays from 6-midnight which I think would be.....umm....1:00 AM to 7:00 AM GMT, I think

Weekends, I'm available from 9AM to midnight, which I think would be 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM GMT

GO GO Super Power Fish

No no... Scottish Pain Force! I won't mention the name you came up with in the chat room though

It was just so, so, wrong

Anyway, we really need to organise a time to try set up the clan. No real rush to get it done, but the sooner we do, the sooner we can start assigning ranks within the clan (no doubt NF will be the Chieftain, but we need some Shamans to help him out  )

Thank god, the system recognizes me ;)

So after I convinced the registration system that the sending of an activation mail is a nice thing and after the system recognized the given link in the mail (www.rpgforums.net not found... argh) I can now finally post here, too.

So i am that guy that tried 3on3 with Nightfish and Quicksilver (after 3min we saw that _they_ did not stand a change and therefore left the uneven contest *g*). I would also join the clan, but I have to say clearly right at the beginning that currently I have quite few free time (Master thesis, girlfriend, basketball).

So if there are no regular meetings where everyone that everyone has to attend, I would also like to join.

Perhaps we should also collect information like ICQ numbers or the like to get in contact with each other or additional information. I'll start:
ICQ: 91803592 (sry no AIM, ...)
Mail: use [NICK] <at> gmx <dot> de
Age: very old ;) 30 > age > 20 (*hihi*)

1) Come up with a good name for our Clan.
Personally I'd say the majority decides what we call ourselves.

Personally I do not like SPF that much but the clan name is not that important to me. If you would ask me I'd prefer something funny (don't ask "like what" *g*). I like this "Blackjack and Hookers", though.

2) Gather at least 10 people into a battle.net channel and start the clan. I'd assume that's easier to do in the evening, so chime in everybody as to when you'd be available. I'd suggest we give the times in GMT, kinda hard when everybody says "5 o'clock my time". :D

Could be hard with my master thesis, but I hope I can arrange that :)

Well, that's pretty much it.
same here ;)

One thing to consider is that a new patch has just been released. Assuming we manage to settle on a time and date when to start this, make sure you have downloaded that patch already. Obviously this only applies to people like myself who have a very bad connection.

Anyway. I'm just tossing out a random date here so people can say whether that's good for them or not. How about... hm... Thursday evening? That's two days from now, plenty of time to read the thread. :D Let's say Thursday 20:00 GMT on battle.net Channel SPF.

Assuming we can get enough people together to start the clan we'll briefly discuss our clan name and whether or not we want account names to match our clan. (for those not familar with that, if we were clan "Zen" it'd be stuff like "Nightfish.Zen", "Zen.Nightfish", "Nightfish[ZEN]" or something like that. Think of it as the internet version of partner-look. )

Oh, yeah, in case you're wondering where Bug-c is coming from: He's a good RL friend of mine and racing up the ladder as my trusted ally. Well, not literally racing, but we're moving... It'd be faster of the others would cooperate with us and lose more...

Thursday at 8pm GMT? Nnnnoooooooooooo!

But... that's when Brainiac: Science Abuse starts on TV :flip:

Ah well, guess I'll have to tape it then watch it later

I know you don't play D2, but still, its nice to have you here :)

Just as a (short?) sidenote

I was quite a D2 addict one year ago with a nice account including a lvl 98 javazon, lvl96 necro, lvl 92 sorc, lvl 90 barbarian. But I quit as the game was getting boring if you had most of the items and there were problems with our clan and lots of people including me left the clan. I did not want to start again with a new clan (as the german D2 community mostly sucks, mostly 12-13 year old wanna-be`s). So I just left D2 and did not touch it since that time (I did not play using the new patch, although I know of NF that you have a harder time)

After quitting D2 I focused on UT (Unreal Tournament). First at small LAN parties at the dormitory and later on in the internet (we had a pretty good ping at the dormitory). Later on I joined a clan playing "Instagib CTF" only. That was really a great time, too :)

Oh what a nice introduction :) Another thing that might help to "race up the ladder" (*lol*) is to narrow the gap between our games (after 2 weeks of no WC3 at all, I really sucked)

to topic:
Thursday evening is bad for me because of an afterwork party in a near-by club where I and my collegues go to.

Hmmm... I'm not sure I'm going to be in the right time zone to be able to make it to very many gaming sessions. Thursday at 20:00 GMT is 1:00 PM locally, and that's right smack in the middle of my workday. Mean evil boss refuses to let me install games on my computer. (Not that I would have time to play them anyway).

I'll hook up with a shamen sometime and get added. Hopefully you can come up with enough people for Thursday.

Error Error Encountered
Sorry, but there has been an error with your request. Go back to the Ladder Index and try again later.

Hm, seems like a lot of people are unavailable on thursday. We'll see if there are enough to start the clan, if not let's try again on Friday evening, etc. ;)

Bah... gogo BNet ladder system! It's been really unreliable recently, and the new patch has made it even worse.

Basically, level 11 in Random Team, level 6 in AT with Nightfish, 25 random wins (and now 1 Night Elf win since I'm going for the Huntress icon next).

Seeing as the forum was rolled back, I'll just bump this up with the new information. We'll try to get the clan started tommorow. So, meet in channel "D2net" on Friday, at GMT 20:00. Hopefully more people show up, today it was only NF and me (Thanks for the Custom game, BTW). Cheers!

as i said b4, friday is gf night, so, no can do. maybe saturday?

i can also look for some ppl to fill in till we can have those ten necessary to maintain de clan.

No problem snowmore. I think it's pretty much impossible that we'll get everyone online at the same time. If we can manage 10, that's good, if not well... we'll try a couple more times and then see if things work out or not.

As for people filling in... DarkChaos also offered to use the 2 CD keys he has to help maintain our clan. While I appreciate the offer, imo not sure that actually helps us. Do we really want a clan with 3-4 active members and 6 fake accounts?

Ok, today our second attempt at forming the clan proved only moderately successful. The most people that were online where 4, including myself. At this rate I can't see this clan getting started. Which does seem a bit strange as more than 10 people declared their interest. Well, thanks to anybody who was online today, gl & hf!
