OT - Want join a WC3 clan with NF?

Well, actually the clan never started as only 4 of the >10 people that expressed interest actually showed up on battle.net. (including myself) The whole thing was pretty much abandoned then. There's just no point of having a clan if there's only 2 people ^_^

If you want to play a couple AT games or something I might be up for that, though. ;)

My main account is "Nightfish". (surprise!) I got myself a smurf account after Quicksilver added 3 disconnect losses to my good account. :-/ That one is aptly named "Smurfish". Been playing a couple of ATs with Nikon there. Sooner or later one of the two accounts will make it's way up the ladder ^_^ Just you watch... :D

Thanks NF ;) It wasn't disconnects, but that stupid graphical lag bug. I know its a bug because it only happened on BNet and I wasn't the only one having trouble with it around that time :grrr:
 
Same thing. :P Regardless of whether it was graphical lag or disconnect I have 3 losses I shouldn't have. :P Oh, my precioussss record!

I've unfortunately been hugely busy with RL as of late, and will be leaving for a week or so on wednesday to get married. When I get back, I can log on pretty much anytime to try again though! Still sounds like a great idea, eventually we'll get enough people online I'm sure!
 
Hehe, your stats aren't too bad. ;) A pity you're stuck in the RoC, else I'd snatch you right up to climb the ladder. :lol: But I can't stand RoC. Can't live without my ranger...

Meh... I understand... after all I seem to be getting addicted to using the TC first...
 
I even found a use for life drain so if I ever hook up with a human ally I can ditch the AuraMage and go solo ranger. ^_^

Human ally you said? :wave: Well, Dual race teams isent as good as a mix team, but why be mainstream? :D
 
Hehe, yeah, I noticed you being a human when finally battle.net agreed to cough up your stats. Though I agree with you that dual anything usually isn't as good as getting 2 different races. Ah well, we'lll see. ^_^ Fact is that I can't play anything that's not human and if you don't want to switch either we'll just go with teh dual humans. :D
 
I can handle myself ok with both Orc and Undead . . . The Orc stats on my acc is from my first games, didnt quite do a good job there :D

You got AIM or ICQ? While this does increase our post count I find it a tad slow. ^_^ Also, on messengers it's easier to see when the other guy is online. Not to mention that I tend to notice IMs more than PMs. :uhhuh:
 
Arg... I just took my hatred for Wind Riders to a whole new level (not intentionally though).

Playing 2 1v1s against an Insane AMAI (basically an improved version of the regular computer AI that acts like a BNet opponent)...

Both were Orc mirrors, BOTH times it [highlight]MASSED[/highlight] Wind Riders. To the extent where even a Bloodlusted level 10 Tauren Chieftain with an Orb of Lightning and mass Batriders couldn't keep up. And if you try to expand, it goes straight for it with a few Wind Riders. Try to set up some towers, you've not got enough resources to get enough Batriders to counter the Wind Riders properly.... ARGH.

I'm GOING to take this down, whether the computer likes it or not. Afterall, THAT is good training :D And since real opponents don't get double resources like an Insane computer, if I can deal with it here, I should have little problem stopping it for real.

Maybe I should get a 2nd hero once the TC hits level 6... SH or Blademaster should do it.
 
You're assuming that real opponents will behave as moronic as the AI will. That is probably not going to happen. I can stop mass defending footies with just about 8 rifles vs the AI. Would this be possible vs real opponents? Prolly not.

I know, but some real opponents do mass Wind Riders the way I just saw the AI do...

Just so very frustrating :lol:

I mean... just look at the end-game stats (my units killed and buildings killed are higher than it should be because after losing the 2nd time I was so frustrated I put on god mode and beat it, so I killed about 30-40 more units than I had in the 'real' fighting)...
 
They might mass them the same way but no real player could achieve the same level of retardedness when it comes to actually use the units they've got. It takes artificial intelligence to do that.

Or have you ever seen somebody TP home with their low health hero, buy a new TP, run the hero right back to my base, TP home, buy a new TP and run back again only to TP home again? At other times the AI units will just stand idle and not even fight back once attacked. This usually happens after you wipe out the base of one ally and the other sends troops to the location even though there's nothing left to defend.

Imo matches vs AI are okay to test your BO, to see how many troops you'll have at a given time but beyond that it provides no real practice for me.
