OT: titan quest

This game would seem to offer more draw for couples I think especially for spouses/sig others that don't game very much. Eyecandy has that appeal after all.

Well, I couldn't get the demo to work...

So I wonder if buying it was a waste...

But I bought it, but I don't know when I will install/play it... I don't want to get too into it when I'm leaving this Thursday...

So... It will be here when I get back in late July

Thanks to our man in green I could try out the demo without the errors. Quite entertaining, everything is like in d2, even most of the hot keys. I realized that my computer is too old for the game but it worked well with low settings on the texture. Still wouldn't buy it though.

There's always got to be a game worth forcing you to upgrade your PC :)

I thought WOW or EQ2 would force me, but alas no, my PC was well up to handling them efficiently. I was however having an issue with old age finally biting the bullet on my mobo, so upgrade was more of a repair necessity than anything. Hopefully I can get my system up and running Monday after the part arrives. Dying to hear these new speakers I hooked up.

Yeah, I had thoughts about upgrading (read buying new) for Oblivion. I realized that one of those new Xboxes would cost me 1/3 of a new computer though. Silly.

That's provided you look soley at purchasing a PC whole from a maker rather than upgrading your own custom build. I only spent $400 and I will have a system worth at least $5k again if you were to try buying direct from an OEM.

oblivion for crap box is a waste of money. no mods, only official pay to play mods. oblivion is good only with the PC version, even like this vanilla is a crap game for 2 years old kids. so you need mods to download.
my comp run just fine Blivion athlon 2400+ 512ram ati 9600XT

Nah, I would of course build the thing my self but looks like I would have to give maybe 1000$, if not more, to get something decent.

edit: nebux, are your CPU on crack? I've heard people with decent computers trying and well... nice sequence of pictures.

edit 2: nm, might have confused your grafic card with something else. I don't keep up.

I tried to download the demo so I can test it out. I downlaoded it , tried to extract it and it just keeps saying no files to extract. Help anyone? The game looks like atleast trying.

try downloading it again from file planet.

I have to wait in line for 20 minutes just to download it .
Oh well I really am [d2bash] looking for a new game to play.
[/d2bash].. I will never escape d2's grasp. I will most likely
devote a few hours every day just like ussual. Most likely
did what I did when I was playing Halo2 online.
7 hours to one. 7 hours to the other. 8 hours to school.
2 hours to sleep if im lucky.
Its very unhealthy but most of the 8 hours
I get to sleep or rest anyways. I dont like how not to many people
like it so far though. As long as it is near-impossible to reach max level
for the characters and you can re-run any levels , im motivated to try.

This damn link. It took forever to start then got stuck at 78 %. I guess ill try it again. How did you guys get it so easy. Its giving me such a hard time.

if you dont specify it extracts to a folder in your temp internet explorer directory. try again to a specific location.

I got the demo and tried it. After finishing the demo I had a few things to comment on.

I couldn't believe how poorly it ran on my machine. Admittedly I'm low on RAM (only 512) but I've got a 3.06 GHz P4 and a 128MB video card that should carry some of the load. Definitely a case of don't bother if you don't have the computing power to work it, though admittedly I didn't try too hard to get better performance out of it.

I liked the idea of the customizable skill sets. At level 6 I hadn't seen much but the idea seemed cool.

Overall it didn't really grab my attention, but I'm not sure why. I think it doesn't have a lot to add that D2 didn't already have, or maybe it was the choppyness. In some ways it felt very much like a D2 clone, with the inventory screen, quest options and skill trees reminding me very much of D2.
My rating 6/10 not bad, but not exciting enough to pay full price for.

I'm going to install it tonight and let you all know what I think tomorrow (that's when I will play...)

My Comp Specs:
AMD Athlon 2500+ (This might hurt me a bit, I don't even know if I'll be able to play it )
1.5Gb PC2700 RAM
256Mb GeForce 5200

I have enough RAM and video card is good (I think  )
