Now, just what to do with it.
BotD Zerker has been mentioned, and so have rares (although which one has not been specified) and also the Eth Tomb Reaver and Eth Stormlash (which I REALLY dislike, btw).
What would I do with it?
I would follow the nightfish logic and make a big hurty stick, that being an ethereal 6 socket BotD Giant Thresher (not v1.07, that's just cheesy, IMO), since it is the MOST badass looking weapon the in entire game (just look at D2A's 'tar with the black thresher/giant thresher weapon).
I would then make a Titan Iron WW Barb (just like the ones from v1.09) and enjoy the build to its fullest.
After that, to appease Corax, I would make my FIRST Werewolf, followed by a worlfbarb (cuz I couldn't get enough of the furry critter).
Further along, a two handed zealot would come to mind, a tankazon, melee sorc, and TS assassin and a whole lot of other, non-mainstream builds, far too many to list here.
And thus, that is what I would do with a zod. May it soon by mine.

first, change your avatar to a zod rune. at least for a while, so that you can appease the MF gods.
Find a nice eth weapon to socket it with. Eth perfect Ribcracker comes to mind.

Hummm, well, the o,d, and of course the word "Rune" could all be cut and pasted, but the "Z" appears to be both in the correct font & equally fuzzy. All of them are lined up properly.... so I guess it's legit.

Well, I opened ATMA to remember the particulars on the ethereal Shadow Killer I had when I realized it's already industrutable. So I like the idea of a tourney to get the goodness. Although I do have a very nice Bartuc's that's ethereal..... It might even get me to play a 'sin past Act 2 norm. Might I make a suggestion? If you just do rare item comparisons, give bonus points for low item levels...just for fun.

I think it needs to be socketed into a 'newb-protector' item. If I remember right, Wirts leg can be imbued or rolled in the cube to get magical properties. So we hold a contest to see who rolls the most appropraite leg - of Thorns or Godly mods, etc - and then socket it with the zod. Then we present it in each new intro thread as a talisman to ward off shin-kicking.

An Ethereal Tomb Reaver socketed with these jewels and a Zod would make the best 2-hand druid weapon in the game, period. I don't have the Eth Reaver yet, but would definitely give it my all in trying to acquire one if I got a hold of your Zod. Great contest bob.

Make a WW Barb and chuck on a Beast BA and an Eth Zod'd DC and you will have the greatest killing machine known to mankind. But more than a WW Barb can use and Eth DC. Zealot, Frenzy Barb, Fury Druid (although it will only attack at 6fps), Maul Bear will all love that weapon. Hell, you could build nearly any character around a weapon that sick. The problem will be finding an Eth DC with 270+ ED but when you do.....

Personally I'd just stash it and gloat periodically. Congratulations on the find, and hope it finds its way into something useful, somewhere.
