Amazing find Bob.

In case Icebird isn't around:

Perfect eth 3s Tomb Reaver! Zod 40-15 40-15! You know you want to!

find an nice eth tomby and i'll supply two nice 40/15's no problemo

stroodle.. wth did you do with your avy??

anyway.. on topic: nice find bob :) I'd keep it to socket that 400ED/40IAS/fools/eth/+/+ rare weapon you'll never going to find just like that zod. 2nd best thing: give it away, pick someone who's going to put it to good, don't pick a random guy who coicidentally (sp?) gave all the good answers in a trivia.

1 coin of 2 eurocent

my vote is for putting it in the biggest baddest 2-handed weapon that could get you down to 5 fpa zeal without sacrificing hit recovery speed, and then build a 2-handed zealot around it.

wether the big bad weapon is a 450% ED, 2 socket, 9 dual leech, 40 ias rare collossus sword or a six-socketed eth CB for BotD doesn't matters much.

Belated grats. I've been quiet on this thread out of jealosy. There are few people I'd believe if they said they got a Zod legit, and unfortuately, FB is one of them. Pope JP? Probably not. My mom on her death bed? No.

Grats on the once in a lifetimer... perhaps twice.

Still... what were the odds... 1:100,000 or so? That's actually not all that bad considering how many people play, and how easy it is to run Eldrich.

I stand by my claim that if I ever did find a Zod, not a soul would know. I mean not a soul, because I would tell no one, and I'd have to sell mine to get the thing to drop.

I didnt have to sell my soul to the devil to get it to drop, i broguht 1 on ebay and sold that, making £3.45 in the process!
And on P8 the odds of eldritch dropping 1 are 1:11,906,059 so i'd say thats pretty rare. i ceretainly havent done 12 milion runs yet, and hakai even suggested it might have come from one of his minions, and the mind simply cannot comprehend such odds of that happening, but then no-one will ever know who actually dropped it.

Thanks for the correction FB... I was only off by a factor of 100. Still... I think even at those odds, we should be seeing more of these types. Maybe some like me wouldn't tell. But there has to be 20 or 30 of us playing pretty regularly, running meph, running eldrich... silly stuff like that. We each kill ~thousand of monsters each day. If each of the monsters had that chand... (gears turn)... That makes for an expected three zods per year.

Dang those things are rare.

Not very lickely shag.. I mean, how can my pc tell if you had a zod drop or not? Monster drops are paralel (sp?) so if you won't find it doesn't mean I will (sadly :D )

Obviously your PC can't tell what my PC dropped. But there's more to it than that. I'm fairly certain that Diabli 2 doesn't track rune drops at all so your PC can't tell if the moster you just killed dropped a zod or not.

It's simple numbers, if the average likelyhood of a zod is 1 in 10 million and between all of us we kill 30 million monsters then there should be (on average) 3 zods dropped in there.

It's like flipping a penny, if you flip a penny twice and get heads both times it's just the way the numbers work. If you pick up a different penny and flip it instead it won't change your odds in any way.

Thats 1 in 12 million, not 10 :p
And he's right. if we all ran zod capable monsters all the time there'd be more zods. not enough to turn us into a bnet style thing where we all own BotD's and enigma's, but at least a few of us will.

Thats easy to explain :) Not all of us want to talk about the zods we found. Its my precious!!!

I don't know if this is still going on or not...but...

If I ever got a Zod I'd make the most ultimate melee weapon EVER.

I'd throw that into an ethereal Stormlash--imagine the uses:

Avenger, Zealot (any variation of the zealot), any kind of Barbarian, a shifting Druid, melee Amazon, Enchantress, Furysin, other random characters that are to remain anonymous now...

Hell, if I ever got an ethereal Zod'd Stormlash I'd go and play non-stop until every character I could dream of that could use it was a (X)triarch. :yep:
