Now I know why Chaos runners are the most senile people on earth...

......I see that i'am of a different opinion than most people here.

If it's a public game, then do whatever you want, though this is very annoying. If you really don't want people in your way / steal drops, then make passworded game....

Its not that I wouldn't like people to do excactly what the game name suggest, but this is wishful thinking... It seems as if mf'ing in baalrun or kill mephisto when others are questing (act3) is considered normal behaviour.... I don't see why this is different..

I absolutely hate it when people do that. I hate it even more if it's a trade game, because it keeps the customers away. Usually, I ask them politely to leave, but some of them bastards won't even respond. At least they could ask if it's ok...

But back to topic: are there any people from Europe that are willing to lead Chaos runs? Sounds interesting to me.

I do that all the time, never had anyone ask me to leave. I usually quest in cow games or trade games, they tend to last the longest.

"My drops guys, don't hit the seals please, and stay out f the star with Diablo".

So let me get this straight, you actually expected anyone to listen to you at all? Any public game => you can't tell people to leave the drops alone.

Even so, what do you want them to do? You want the best exp, you want all drops, and they only get to do nothing and a little bit of exp?

If I was in the same game I probably would've left and started my own runs.

No offense, but not hitting the seals? As long as the hitter keeps a close eye if anyone is in the spawn area, I don't mind whoever hits it, as long as the group stays together more or less.
As for the drops, all games are freeforall, it's always been like that, unless you're playing with people you know, then you can set a few rules, not with bnetpubbystrangers.
(usually when I'm running cows orso with friends we do it like this: someone kills and keeps running, the other follows wherever he goes and picks up the good stuff on the way, most bnetpubbies can't keep up with this, they either can't follow the group when they pick up stuff, or can't pick up the stuff)
And stay out of the diablostar? The highest experience and drops, and you expect everyone to sit back and watch you get all the goodies?

Ok I'm back guys, sorry bout that...school lol.

@max-kind of hard with pw games because I would need to make pubby games in order to get it full and therefore more exp.

@dawn master-

Firstly-yes I do expect people to follow those rules, although occasionaly they are broken and I honestly can see by it being pubby and all, but it's called etiquette and having some respect at least for the runner and not to mention good luck finding any chaos run, at least on east idk deal with other servers, in which a runner doesn't state those rules.

Secondly-My exp and my drops and they get nothing but exp? Yes, exactly. The main reason for chaos runs nowadays are for quick exp for low levels from the result of grushes. So, unless they plan on doing any of the killing, which won't happen at all, then they won't be getting the best exp nor the drops due to the fact that I made, i killed, and I'm running. But many are fine with that, as all people want in chaos games for the most part is quick exp.

On seals-well I don't feel like losing 10 games worth of exp because some stupid nub thought he should randomly hit the seal and hooooray, seis takes me down to zero in a heartbeat! Just to let you know, not everyone is smart when it coems to hitting seals and keeping an eye on everyone, so it only takes one to mess it all up.

Drops-again, just common manners, and usually people follow this rule because a lott of runners will simply stop and quit the runs completely which just simply cause a lot more frustration.

And star-Ok first, they can still stay out of the star and gain exp from his kill and second for most low levels I'm pretty sure they don't feel like dying and for those who do take the drops, again, runs are over.

It's just manners, that's all

Donut, if you do decide to run chaos runs for people in here, they should be grateful enough for the fast exp to follow your rules. Because hopefully many people here will be mature enough to be able to follow simple rules and instructions.

I find Chaos frustrating at times. Im a Hdin and need to use redemption because i dont want to revive my merc, so it annoys me when low levels use summoning skills or Death sentry. But i admit they listen to me.

One thing about the seals, i dont mind who opens it, but i do care about the order in which they open it. If they hit in the wrong order, Diablo pops out after the Mini Boss is dead. So you usually you dont get the full exp of the Boss pack.

What's this star business? The only significance it has for me is that I always lag over it.

I don't care about the drops, it's all about leveling my character.

What's standing in the star got to do with experience? The sole reason for leechers to stand there is to grab the drops. It doesn't matter to me if they get the drops or not, I'm there to level my character. Seeing as how they always die when standing there, I don't see how anyone could possibly benefit from any extra experience anyway.

The runner hitting the seals means that they control when the seal bosses spawn. It's kind of nice to have dealt with the monsters already there before having a new batch dropped on your head. Since experience is the reason for doing these runs, having some moron pop the last seal means that killing Infector of Souls(an example) effectively kills off the rest his pack(and any other monsters) and there goes experience. So yes, perhaps it is a good thing that you'd go and make your own runs.

I never really bother anyone in games. Even if they piss me off, I simply squelch them or leave the game.

I just find it not funny to hostile/open a hot tp/whatever... maybe I'm the only one to think of it this way.

Oh, 300th post.

I have problems with leeches taking drops, I don't have problems if they are high lvl and killing along with me, it's free4all, can't expect someone doing the same amount of killing as you and not expect them not to try and get what drops, they have as much right as you, no matter who created the game

If you want to be a Nazi and tell people what to do, don't be surprised that they take no notice, if somebody tries to dictate to me what I can or can't do in a public game they are quite quickly told to get ****ed.

You need them as much as they need you, as you already stated you need a full game for the experience.

I've long since accepted the fact that pubs are pubs. I do try to ask them not to pop the seals, not for my benefit - I can survive fine with anything on top of me - but for the benefit of the other runners who may not be as durable. Drops are drops, I'm typically too busy to bother too much with them anyway.

This is actually why I prefer baal runs to diablo runs. With baal runs, my GC Baalz are well enough known on East, it seems, that most people who come into my games are already aware of how I roll. I teleport my own games, I send a portal only AFTER clearing a spot. I don't whine about drops or anything like that. And we never get spambots because I set a level restriction that puts it to around 55-99 allowed. Most people who come in don't start calling out "tptptptptptp" instantly, as they know I'll send one when I'm ready -and when someone DOES do that, most the rest of the run tends to tell them to cool their heels. It's kinda nice like that.

noobs willy nilly popping seals can be a problem, but anyone that can get killed by the boss pack spawning on them most likely isn't of a high enough level to be severely inconvenienced by a death or 3.

As far as drops go, if you want them to yourself either

  1. make a private game and deal with the lower exp, or

  2. run chaos in full games where the rest of the players are somewhere else, eg a baal run or a trade game
for every anal chaos runner there are 5 that don't really care what the other ppl do as long as they are getting their exp. So the rest of us can go join one of those runs and you can do solo runs and have everything your way.

If you're implying that I am in some way related to a Nazi and you pretty much flat out said F me then you really need to re-think your whole strategy of insultring as you just insulted yourself with that remark.

If he's doing the killing and others are just leeching he has every right to tell em not to hit the seals.

if you dont like his rules the answer is very easy. Dont join his games.

About being in the star: you don't get more experience for wandering around there, I was simply pointing out that you'd have to be there in order to kill Diablo (the killing blow delivers more exp than just standing back and leech, remember?)

I know it'd all be the nicest of things to do, but it's bnet where we're talking about here, you might as well do a public DiabloClone run and ask a random person to hold the anni until you get your mule...

I bet 100 quid that he will grab and run... :azn:

When I make a trading game I tend to do various runs while waiting for people to join - I have found several times that when I open Cows people come in with their trade char - see the Cow portal, or my TP from the cow level and realise that in the portal is in a corner of the Rogue encampment. Then they get a cow killer and start stealing my run.

So when I make a cow game in a trade game I open, I lure the first pack of cows I see right over the portal before carrying on with the rest of the run.
