Now I know why Chaos runners are the most senile people on earth...

Wel, in light of a few gifts from a friend (Some facets, light skillers, and more to come on the way:grin: ) I decided to level my light sorc Serephara even more from lvl 90 which she is currently at. I was more than capable of running chaos with her in a full game and since I've always been told 90 and up, chaos is the way to go. So, I make a Duke Chaos-1 game, thinking nothing harmful would happen...

So I started off things the way I saw fit and saw how most chaos runners do. I politely stated "My drops guys, don't hit the seals please, and stay out f the star with Diablo". Well...I don't think I even have to bother telling you guys the rest of the story that followed because you should have already drawn up assumptions by now...:azn: Time after time someone would steal a drop, hit a seal, or walk in the star and time after time, I would fuss at them and sometimes hostile them and dominate lol. But this just continued for a few more games before I finally snapped.

I now know why Chaos runners can become senile. Because if I had to deal with that everyday, I would go nuts too.

So...any one else have a similar story to share?

BTW, a little ot, but is chaos best place to lvl after 90 or is it baal still? Or possibly uber lvl'n?

I just want to point out that a person once hostiled me after I picked up a regular Rejuvenation potion. They yelled at me so I ran after than and dropped it. They didn't pick it up. So I dropped it again...then they hostiled me. Unfortunately for them, Hammerdins have a very hard time killing Amazons...turns out that if you toss a Plague Javelin at a Hammerdin and then he gets Lower Resist casted on him, then teleports into a group of Megademons, he dies. Whadda you know? Poor guy was level 94 too...

However, I am a strong advocate of mandatory euthanasia for imbeciles. If you can identify them over the internet, so much the better.

Captain Obvious Strikes again!

I know it takes time and all but have you tried recruiting players from this forum?

At least if they turn out to be morons you can let everyone know :wink3:

i was running chaos for people with my level 93 hammerdin and some moron asked "there a good runner here?" so i went "..." and he and everyone else in the room went "..." also, mocking me. so i sent them a hot tp, went and sat and town and watched all 8 of them die, then die a few more times when they tried again.

was fun.

blah blah. i find it better to chaos during the daytime, as i find most people get grumpier during night. very interesting.

strange how people play d2X 24/7 even though its about 5 years old.

Lol very funny pigeons lol.

@flip-well, I mean the idea crossed my mind, but I wasn't too sure about it. I'm sure you know the way dii baal runs work in that only one person per game gets the drops, alphabetically, and I don't know how well that will tide over in chaos runs. I guess we could work out the same system, but I'd like it if it were more all high lvls trying just to get xp, rather than really low ones. Idk, I'll look into it though.

yup

I hear ya

I guess my point would be to get a group of runners from here then....

Well, that almost sounds like a clan so...?

Can always try the "match-up" forum and pre-post when your game will start - use whatever parameters you want and see what happens? If you get enough to show you can roll to a private and see how things go?

I mean I kind of wanted to make games with the intentions of not only xp, but drops, but i don't know how well over the later will fare with people from here if we made a game...

Oh yeah, I just remade my hdin and have done nothing but chaos since lvl 40. In my travels to lvl 90, I have come across all of the people who think that just because they throw a few hammers around they can scream at everyone.

One time I had a gc drop by a monster I killed and the pally got all upset, but when I told him I made the kill he was cool.

Another time a pally got all *** because I used meditation, once, after everyone left the area. Of course I was a noob for that, lol.

I figure if you post in the match-up forum

Clearly state the way the game will be played - your rules so your game
Pre-Post this by a couple days...

This is by far YOUR GAME
You can set level req's so no leachers (set these when you create the game on B-Net)

You've stated what you want so....

If somebody shows and complains - READ the Parameters set is all you have to say?

Of course this won't happen tonight, but there may be more like minded players than you think here?

If I was on East as opposed to West, I'd like to roll

doughnutz, where do you play?

if you're east nl i'd be down for some group chaos runs. ive got a godly din, godly barb and a decent amazon that can all run it easily. also a summoning necro that can.

I just stay back behind the runner and watch everyone else die. Usually because they charge into a monster pack to snatch drops or they hit a seal and have the bosses and their minions land on their head. Of course then it's somehow the runners fault that they are idiots and don't know how to conduct themselves in a Chaos run. I don't know how alot of these people even level, seriously.

I often enter into a Chaos run and level to 60 before anyone else, despite the fact that they are usually ten levels ahead of me. Perhaps it's time for a Chaos Runners etiquette guide? Make it complete with illustrations on where to stand and everything. Yeah, right. One can dream can't he?

HEY!

Maybe we got somethng going here ...

too bad I'm on West!

Same here. I laugh when I see some idiot rush ahead and try to spam some level 2 Ice Bolt or some crap like that. I love it when they scream "OMFG WTF" when the monsters inevitably creams them, as if they were expecting they would make it out of there alive.

In my case its with top2 baal runs. Some friends and I are 98, and we tele our own runs. Yet more often then not there's some wiseguy who tries to take baal away. which is clearly annoying since, if we dont get baal at that lvl, all we get is 15k exp for the whole run

as for chaos I sometimes join with a zon that I have (I'm lvling her with no baal runs) and it really doesnt matter what the monsters drop (OK I pick arrows up lol) since I'm there simply for exp. Not drops

BTW, a little ot, but is chaos best place to lvl after 90 or is it baal still? Or possibly uber lvl'n?
there was a link to a page that provided exp per lvl. I dont have the url for it. But I remember that up to lvl 94 act4 is the fastest. Act5 becomes the best once you try to lvl past that.

Similar to babysitting stubborn little children.

"Stop. Don't do that."
"How many times have I told you not to do that?"
"I told you to stop!"

lol what I think its funny is when they're lvl 20 or whatnot, go near diablo, die and then actualy say OMFG lol. I mean really!!! were they really expecting NOT to die??

I'm on East Standard and I'd be more than willing to run Chaos with you. Your rules...

Since I'm fresh from starting back I only have my 88 Trap-Kickerto do those runs, but you need not worry about me taking any drops. In fact, if people offer me something, I double check that before even getting near it.

Hey guys, been a little busy and I'm finally able to repost. Yea, by the looks of it there are quite a few people who wouldn't mind a dii chaos run or so. I'd be glad to set one up here now that I think about it. I won't be back till 4 or so because of school, but when I get home I'll try to post something up inthe player match up forum.

@rykuss-A guide would'nt be a bad idea at all....maybe I should think of making one lol.

@darrow-lol so finally decided to join dii darrow lol.

I'll try to post again in this thread when I get home today guys.

P.S-another funny chaos story. A dude who was getting really pissed at everyone because they were messing up the runs and kept telling me I was so uber godly and best chaos run ever, lol idk why but he just kept going with it. After someone entered the star, he said he would get his high lvl char and hostile all of them. And so he did, but instead hostiled the whole party and as soon as he came back....ZAP, thunder storm from my own char ahahaha.
