Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread ifra

I have a question about using Atma for 1.09 chars - is it even possible? I thought it is - but my 1.09 char just won't let me move anything to or from it's stash or slots... Very weird.

I will ask as I always do - in numbers :)

1. Should I enable something in order to be able to move stuff from 1.09 to 1.11 and vice versa?

2. Is that stuff ( aside from obvious runewords ) gets changed during the transition to accomodate the version?

Thanks.

Yes, you can use 1.09 chars and 1.09 stashes.

1)
No, it's not possible to move items from one version to another in ATMA.

Thanks. How then one can get 1.09 Raveclaw on 1.11 chars for twinkage? Do I miss something?

a) Put it on a 1.09 char
b) Open it in 1.11 Diablo 2
c) The char and item is now 1.11 and can be treated as such.

You'll kick yourself for not working that one out...

^^^ LOL. But wouldn't that char now be unplayable in 1.09?

Boy, I am such a noob sometimes. Been playing that darn game for 7 years ( 7, really? ) and still so much to learn.

Yes, the char will be unplayable in 1.09. The item just has to be in the inventory, so make a new 1.09 char in ATMA or whatever.

I'm so not willing to read through 53 pages looking for the answer to this:

Are there any known bugs/dangers with the most recent version of GoMule? Particularly ones that will corrupt items/chars/stashes? I'm itching to try it out, but my itamz collection represents years of work and I'm frankly a little bit nervous.

Thanks!

@CG

GoMule creates lots of backups, so if you've used an earlier version you're safe.

If not, follow the disclaimer and make a back up to test all your stashes before you use GoMule regularly.

Also, there is also an option in this forum to change posts per page to 40, makes threads easier to read.

I had a great one last month that set all my char's hp/mana/stam to 1. That was fun, last serious bug I made. Of course, it never got out into a public release and so no one else really experienced it apart from me.

As far as i'm aware, there are no bugs which can corrupt your character/items/stashes. Items themselves are never changed and so, that isn't going to happen.

Like lionheart says, there are regular backups made, but if you want to be double sure, open GoMule, click the button that says "GoMule" and change the backup from weekly to daily.

Ok, let me look into my crystal ball...

You have a char that is a lower level than one would usually be in hell or in nightmare, with a merc. Lets say you're level 60 ish in hell, or something.

Good news is I already fixed this one. I'll send out a new release in a few hours.

*************************
*New Version of GoMule!*
*************************

GoMuleR018.3.zip is now available at: https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=194865&package_id=229852

Wowzers, I know, another update after such a short time. Hey ho, I got on a roll and edited away.

Changes:

Various fixes from last release (Your merc should now load, Max)

*New!* Quest tab with quest and waypoint information. There are three green ticks for each difficulty. Left is normal, middle is NM, right is hell. You'll see when you open it up.

Updated stats so Anya's res scroll and the guy in act3's HP potion are added to your stats if you've completed those quests.

Download size is now 2.3mb instead of 4.8mb through some crazy, crazy, crazy magic.

Think thats it. Enjoy.
