ATMA Display Issue

Has anyone encountered ATMA display issues when using it in WinXP, or on a widescreen laptop? I searched the ATMA page and this thread but didn't see anything.

I am able to functionally use ATMA, but it displays very oddly (e.g., area headings [Stash, Cube, etc] are not aligned correctly, stash icons are almost completely cut off of the viewer, although I can still see enough of it to drag and drop items). Resizing the character and stash viewer windows does not help.

It's definitely not a killer issue, since I am still able to use all AMTA functions properly, it's just a bit jarring and ugly to look at. If anyone has encountered similar issues and has a solution, it would be greatly appreciated.

OK I know this is prolly a simple problem but.... I am having trouble in opening a couple of files in ATMA. both are trade files. I am using 5.04 and I am assuming they were done with 5.05. So I installed a different ATMA and can open the files just fine. But I need to know as to how and or why I cant open them in my older version. And yes I have tried to use them in a couple of differnt files, d2x,d2i etc.

They both give me this error:

Invalid stash file version [060]

Can anyone help me or let me know what to do. I would like to use my older version for now.... but if I have to upgrade than I will, as in switch everything over to the new ATMA. Basicly I know whats there I just cant get them over to the characters without dropping them into both versions. Not bad with some of them but.....

And this is on a Win98 machine.

Thanks

Uh, is there any reason why you don't want to use the current version? You already have a backup copy of 5.04 in case things go wrong, but it sounds like you're going to have to upgrade if you want to trade with people, since everyone else is using 5.05.

The "invalid stash file version" error message is just further confirmation that you should upgrade. I'm just not sure why you'd want to stick with the old version when it's clearly causing problems.

Just some information I think it is good to give: It seems there has not been much talk about using Wine to run ATMA from Linux. I use it frequently, and it works well (apart from some minor problems that I think are related to having my Windows partition in read-only mode). I installed ATMA in Windows and I run Windows' executable file of ATMA from Linux using Wine.

My Linux is Suse Linux 10.1 (from OpenSuse) and the versions are:
ATMA 5.05
Wine 0.9.32

Does the drop calculator work under WINE? I was having problems with the drop caclulator crashing under WINE but the other parts of ATMA were working fine.

Drop calc works fine on Ubuntu with wine.
That's great to know! I was having consistent crashing problems with the drop calculator but that was under RedHat 7.1 and that was a while ago but I haven't tried recently. And I'm no wine expert... Now I'm using GoMule on my Macs and it works great.

The drop calculator works under Wine in my Suse Linux 10.1 as well.

Glad to hear that is working well for everyone else! I guess I was just a wine klutz... ATMA is one of the few things I ever tried to run under WINE, so I may have had something messed up. But the muling part was working fine, it was just the drop calculator part that crashed. I thought I remember someone else having problems with the drop calculator part of ATMA under WINE but that must have been my imagination.

Quick question:

I'm switching from hardcore to softcore and I have over 6 million in the bank of atma. How can I delete all the gold with out loading it on characters?

Try re-installing ATMA. I just realised that I lost all my gold:tongue:

Welcome back!

edit: Yeah right, like we believe you:grin::wink:

I don't have the files at home to do that. I was hoping there was a file I could edit and change the quantity to zero.

I'm not back, I'm just tieing up some loose ends before I'm gone. :wink3:

Edit: I got my question answered, thanks

Load the ATMA_config.ini file erics, change the numbers of bank_funds! Cheesy but changing to zero shouldn't be a problem.

Oh welcome back! It's as if you've never been away.

Atma d2x

So I have a stash called: Socket_Fillers, where I put all my jewels, runes and gems. There were about 50 jewels, 200 runes, and 400 gems in there.
And I don't know how but suddenly I couldn't load the file anymore because it was all empty, the file size is 0 (at the bottom there was a message like: Invalid size (0) or something like that.
I know this isn't a very big problem, because gems suck, and there werent any very rare runes in it (level 18 was highest is wonder)
But what if it happens with all my items w/e

Please help? =D

There's a sticky just for this >.>

edit: just rename socket_fillers1.org or whatever to a new name.d2x (Feonn.d2x for example) and you should have almost all of your stuff back.

Actually, you might need to go back to _2.org or _9.org. Everytime you try and load that stash, it is going to get changed.

Tenshi, might be interested in seeing the stash; and yes, the Sticky is the best place for muling problems. Did you put anything else in there? Are you using the most up to date version of ATMA? Things to check.

Thanks for the help so far, but it doesn't work.
