Merc for WW Barb?

Curious what people like to use. Right now I've just entered Act I Nightmare with my lvl 43 WW barb, and he's still got his Act I Rogue equipped with an Edge Razor bow. Wicked good help from her using that thing, but I know that's not going to be a good choice at some point. Thinking I'll probably switch to an Act II Might merc when I can but that seems so cliche almost, kind of got an itch to try something different. Was thinking maybe an Act V Lawbringer merc. I have a bowazon that's been using one of those and that's been fun with the Decrep going off so much. I've read some guides and Might Merc seems to be pretty much the universal choice. I tend to keep my level pretty high for the area I'm working so Blessed aim isn't really super beneficial. Although I will say that I recently switched my lvl 91 Uber Frenzier from a Defiance Merc to Blessed Aim Merc and thought it was a noticeable difference, he kills a little bit faster (and doesn't really seem to miss the extra defence). Not an eye-popping difference but noticeable.

I also play of the WW Barb muchly. As you know, the Might merc is pretty much the standard for good cause. I have been tempted to get an Act V merc, and may very well do it eventually, but mostly I stick to the Might.

I never really stray from the Might mercenary with Reaper's Toll.

The only other one I used was an Act 3 merc that didn't really add anything.

Don't forget that sanctuary has a huge damage bonus to undead. If you have LoH equipped, you have nice bonus damage versus most monsters in the game!

Damage vs. undead and demons are both great mods which many people tend to underestimate for some reason; maybe because added damage doesn't show up on listed damage in character screen.

Sanctuary is also awesome versus dolls.

I also have to bump the Might merc for WW barb . Maybe one of those fancy rogues with the Faith bow could be a change of pace ??

I had thought about a Faith merc but since WW doesn't get the IAS boost from the Fanat I sort of ruled that out since party ED% is better with Might than Fanat... the more I think about it the more I'm "resigned" to a Might Merc. Just finished Act II NM and so far I've stuck with the Act I Rogue with the Edge Razor bow. She's still killing pretty well and it's still fun playing with the Thorns aura... but I know I'll have to switch to a Might Merc sooner or later. I'll probably try the Lawbringer Act V merc just for giggles tho.

have you though of a act 5 merc with a last wish(not cheap,lol) life tap a great mod on a merc sence ww cant proc it

yeah that's true and you'd still have Might...

I ended up going with a Might Merc, and since this is a really "just for fun" character, I used a 5 os eth Thresher and put the Destruction runeword in it. Definitely turned the fun up a notch. Love the effects you get from that runeword.
