Hello everyone,

Having made a Dream helm last Thursday, I immediately decided to build a Conviction Zealot that I was planning for a while but held off making until LK dropped another Ber that I needed for Dream. The inspiration for the build was the Voice of Reason runeword. I browsed through the Assassin and Paladin Forums and read a couple of guides on VoR and Rift builds, which gave the runewords a thumbs up. I went with VoR mainly beacause I didn't want to spend a Gul on Rift at this time. Both seemed like very fun runewords and VoR has the advantage of being able to be made in the fast Phase Blade. You may have noticed a theme - this build was all about Procs. I had Frozen Orb, Ice Blast, Lightning, Twister, Enchant, Life Tap going off pretty much all the time. Barring Life tap and Enchant, the effectiveness of these procs was mostly negligible but it was all visually pleasing, which was pretty much the point of the build.

Chance to Cast:

Frankly, I expected more from the Orb. It did not make much of a contribution to killing, even with Conviction on. Granted I was playing mostly on /p3 in Hell but even when I played on /p1 in the latter stages of Hell I did not notice a significant improvement. On the plus side, my 4-frame Zeal with Conviction taking care of AR, meant they were flying about everywhere pretty much constantly so some damage was dealt. Damage wise against medium-HP monsters, I can at best compare it to a zap of Static Field against a decently lightning resistant monster. More if the monster was in position to take the full force of the Orb but the Orbs were random so that did not happen enough for my liking Where it shines is its ability to almost constantly chill all non CIs, much like Holy Freeze. A few times I had the Orb proc 3 times from one Zeal (at least it looked that way) which looked cool. Note that whenever the Orb procs, there is a very brief cating delay that turns my Zeal icon red. However I don't think that Zeal is interrupted by this, or if it is I did not notice it. The casting delay practically has no effect of your Zeal. Life Tap was quite strong even with the low damage of the weapon.

Thoughts on the Merc:

I could've gone with an Act 2 Defiance Merc or even an Act 5 one wielding a VoR but in the end the gear versatility provided by Fanaticism was the best option. Fanaticism has a good range and I had a 4 frame Zeal the vast majority of the time. She stays out of battle and retreats when necessary. Her AI in this respect is quite good. In fact she is pretty safe and I did not have to babysit her like I have to sometimes with an Act 2 Moron. Between Life Tap, Fade, Leech and her 10 frame attack, she could even tank for a while.

Conclusion:

I had a lot of fun playing this build. Almost all my damage was from the Dream (Fully synergised level 15 Holy Shock deals 1-2721 damage) and the charms, so the character could've been mistaken for a Tesladin in disguise :p. The gear I used is very expensive so a cheaper version of this build could for instance focus on Crushing Blow and Arcing or "of Storms" charms to improve damage. Regadless, Voice of Reason alone just won't cut it. Perhaps Rift is better, but I don't have experience in this. My previous Conviction Zealot used Azurewrath and Dragonscale and was quite effective damage wise, so that is definitely a possible route to go. Exile though is a defensive powerhouse, almost all my melee Paladins have used it since I made it. If you do have the gear to make this char, I recommend it. You'll have a lot of fun. :)

My Nightmare forge was better than its Hell counterpart.......>_<. Normal and Nightmare was easy. I ran both on p8, doing full clears. Hell was a little tough and Iron Maiden was giving me problems(just like every melee char :D ). The Ancients were not so difficult, I just rerolled them till they got easy stats. Lister wasn't so bad, Life Tap saved my butt here. Baal was the ultimate challenge. It took a very long time to kill him cuz I can't hit him (I'm relying on ITD to hit. I only hit once or twice per zeal). The Life Tap from Dracul's was very useful against Baal cuz I can't hit him but he can't kill me. After a while Baal was finally killed by my huge cold damage and Crushing Blow.

The normally reserved Paladin next to him sprang to life, beating his scepter upon shield. “NO!” We do not die this day! They die!” He leveled his weapon at the myriad beasts. “ALL OF THEM!

Perhaps it was suicide, Scatha mused. But so be it. The greatest glory he could achieve in life was to die fighting the Darkness, in service to Zakarum. A rare smile slowly crept over his face.

“You’re a madman,” Gulzar nearly wept.

“Madman? No...I am a zealot!”

The crafted gloves are far from ideal, but I needed IAS, close to highest possible crushing blow (out of 10%) and some more life leech. So I suppose they aren’t bad, for the time being. The rare ring is also sub par. My equipment goal was to get as close to 100% crushing blow as possible. At 92%, I’m satisfied enough.

ANALYSIS

I’m not overly fond of Scatha. He was fun to play, but his future looks grim. He lacks the survivability of my previous characters, and his potential for MF is quite limited. I will admit that he kills bosses incredibly fast. I was very impressed in that regard.

Do you want to talk about attack rating? Okay, let’s do that. His AR problems were discussed at some length in this thread.

He missed rather often. Sometimes it was due to his low AR, and sometimes it was not. Heaven’s Light is a range 1 weapon, and if you’re not close enough, your whole zeal cycle can whiff. Thanks to AJK and others for pointing this out. Other times he’ll only swing once instead of the full 5 times, and it’s really annoying when things get dangerous.

His AR with a Might mercenary was a piss-poor 3409, and for that reason; I switched to a Blessed Aim mercenary. Disgusted with the lowered damage, I went back to the Might moron eventually. This time my AR problems were partially fixed with the help of a Demon Limb on switch. Not only do the enchant charges help my AR, but the respectable fire damage on Demon’s Limb also helps against Cold Immune/Physical Immunes. Thanks to Goober Grape, krovak, and Cattleya for suggesting that ugly old club.

With a flash the monster combusts. After each time I call the white light, I need a little time to orient myself. That much divine intervention is trying on a mortal like me.

Popping my head back from around the corner, I turned and said, "Knights, oblivion and death. They're guarding one of the seals. If we can lure them out, I can pick them off using the power of Zakarum."

"I guess this is where I come in. Well, no use in hesitating."

Waheed grunts and proceeds to jab the Grand Vizier repeatedly. I shoot Holy bolt after holy bolt into the rapidly thinning pack. Soon only the Grand Vizier remains. He soon finds out that Holy Bolts are just as effective against him as they were against his minions.

"Well, that's two seals opened, Zeus." said Waheed. "So, three more huh?"

"It appears so. We should be wary we still have to handle both Lord De Seis and the Infector of Souls. They won't be as easy as the Grand Vizier."

"For Zakarum!" The bolt kills the last venom lord, and I am momentarily blinded.

"Well, the runes on this seal seem to indicate that Lord De Seis is guarding it." said Waheed.

"Well, open it."

With a touch of his finger, the seal shines to life and bright light flows forth. Coalescing behind is Lord De Seis. I turn and fire. One death Knight down. Waheed is advancing at a slow pacing and drawing the wrath of the pack. It allows me the opportunity to to concentrate on Lord De Seis. He goes down quickly with a few calls of the power the rest of the minions are not far behind. Unfortunately for Lord De Seis his minions are not nearly as reliable as my faithful friend and mercenary. I would not still be here without him.

"Now the Infector."

"Yes. Yes." I said.

"Well, this is his seal." I said. "The infector isn't undead like the rest. We'll have to change tactics. I'll run up and try to convert a few of his minions before he can attack us. You have to draw his fire while I do this. It's the only way."

"Okay." Waheed reaches over and activates the seal. He turns towards the rapidly advancing pack and I follow suit. With one swing of my scepter, the first minion is converted, then two more in quick succession. Then again I call on the power of Zakarum. One strike, two strikes, three strikes. The pulse of divine vengeance flows through me and into the infector. No demon can withstand that onslaught.

"That's the last of them." said Waheed.

"It is, that means that Diablo will be summoned when we open this last seal. Shall we?"

Waheed reaches out to touch the seal.

"Not even Death can save you from me!"

"Is that so Diablo? Unfortunately for you, your reign is at an end!" I shouted. Scepter raised I called the first strike.

Around and around in a circle we ran, me occasionally calling lightning and Waheed stepping in to jab Diablo in the back. Hours we fought, actually only minutes, but where every strike is a fight for your soul and the soul of everyone else, alive or dead. Hurt and bleeding all 3 of us, there is a pause in the action. Diablo raises his hands and lets out a savage blast of reddish lightning. I dodge left, Waheed right. The stream of lightning follows Waheed. I see my opportunity, and I stop and raise my scepter high.

"For Zakarum!"

A Flash. Then a mighty groan escapes the throat of Diablo and he collapses in a heap. I kneel on one knee and raise my face to the heavens. Even here I can feel the light shine down.



This is the luckiest character I've ever played. He was untwinked, and his end game gear is pretty excellent. He also found 3 Skullder's Ire's. Sheesh.

Here's an example of his insane luck, I just stepped in the glacial trail and ran into a boss pack of infidels. He was cursed and lightning enchanted. Whcih would have been okey, but there were four archers with them too, I killed three of the archers but my merc died and As I was running around being chased by infidels, I got hit by the archer which led to my death. So, I resurrect my merc, and head back to retrieve my body. I lead one guy out and have my merc handle it. Then he has to take down the boss. I get the boss seperated and cornered. The merc kills him while i keep shooting holy bolts at the merc. What does the boss drop? A Harlequin Crest with 0% MF. :)

Hellforge : NM Ko / Hell Ist

Deaths : 6 - 2 were Corpsus Non Recoverous due 2 Stair traps in the Hell ToD lvl, Might, BA Extra Strong 'Taurs and Doom Knights from either side. Ugghh! 2 were FE related. A few NDEs caused by FE bug, mostly LE FE monsters

The Ancients : Died to the Ancients once but the next time around once I split them up using the Decrepify from The Reapers Toll used by the merc and charging around the Arreat Summit, I could slowly killed them after splitting them. Tough battle for a melee char in 1.10 as I rerolled FE and Aura Enchanted Ancients about 10 times.

Best Finds :

Apart from the Ist on the HellForge, nothing outstanding really comes to mind. Most of the quest drops from the Act Bosses were rubbish. I think he found some skillers along the way. But probably the Ko Rune in the NM RoF after the Ko Rune from the NM Hellforge.

He is a Frost Zealot with physical damage. Twinked, yes as usual. Most of the charms were taken from previous Mats/Pats retired as of now. He was my first melee 1.10 pat/mat. After the initial boredom of Normal I grow to enjoy his skills, the changing from zeal, smite and charge made for some interesting game play. He was twinked but I as a melee char I found him quite fragile in the latter Acts. Having said that HF, and Decrepify crippled most packs and he was a good tank. I played mainly on p3 in Hell, on p1 in the Chaos Santuary, Ancients and WSK - ToD. I enjoyed using Demon Limb as a Frost Zealot weapon as the Enchant charges help his AR and give some fire damage which combine nicely with the Fire Damage inherent on Demon Limb meaning no immune monsters from his attacks, even unbreakable CI, PIs. This suits my style as I am compelled to kill all monsters I encounter. Also I did not use mana leech to run zeal , I kept a row of blues if I got Mana burned, otherwise 184 mana was enough to run a 2 mana cost of zeal.

What next : for the Artieous -
Retirement and he has some socket quests and imbues available.

Playwise - After some MF and lvling my MF Fishy and now that I have some spare socket quests perhaps a twinked Zealot ala Schafferdin. I still need to find a Highlords Ammy to complete that build to my satisfaction. Also I have strafer gear ready to go. The Zealot would be more fun though.

Random musings:

If my trapper was easy, this was a cakewalk! Only one stupid death in Normal, where I accidently hit the weapon swap and did not notice it; needless to say I had nothing equipped in slot 2 at the time!! Besides that, everything went according to plan. The two Raven Frosts combines with the 20% bonus to AR from Atma’s scarab meant that AR was not going to be a problem; the ITD on Grief would have helped as well. The ctc Amp. Dam. on Atma’s kicked in exactly when I needed it, so other than one unbreakable PI and a few Possessed Spectres, PIs where no problem. I use the Fetid Sprinkler up to the time I was able to equip the Grief; had I not found the Lo, I probably would have upped the Sprinkler and not looked back. I only used Smite in Hell and only on the bosses/super-uniques, but it sliced through them like butter.


So there we are, my eighth patch sept for LoD.

I finally picked up a Dark Adherent to complete the Disciple, which made him pretty tough, after which I twinked him with a Baranar's Star and a Stormshield, after which the only things that killed him were Lister (spawned Immune to Physical) and the Ancients (Madawc was fire enchanted). Glad he's done, since he's been in the works since about July.

Separately, questions:

1. Where is the best place to find charms? (Comment out of experience if there isn't actually a stat-wise good spot.)

2. When is "absorb" checked?

3. Do resistances and absorb roll on the full elemental damage or whatever the first one leaves?

Dawn Treader is a combination of two ideas I've been trying to make work for awhile now: A PDR build and a 2H meleer. I'd say he was success on both counts. The major goals I had for this character were a (1) good damage from a long range 2H weapon (2) 100 PDR (3) max resist all. One wasn't too difficult once I acquired a Tomb Reaver, I just missed achieving two by 1 stinkin' PDR, and three was achieved.

I started off meleeing with one handers until 31, and then proceeded to demolish the Sanctuary with ribcracker, seamlessly upgrading to an upgraded ribbie at 56 and cruising along until I managed to finally hit 84 and then 85 for Tomb Reaver and Gladiator's Bane, respectively.

So hey, for the 99% of the journey I was just a standard power zealot using a 2hander. Fully geared, I wandered into Ancient's Way at P8 and walked into of couple left hooks from the native Yeti's - my health budged slightly. Dawn Treader succeeded where most of my PDR builds had failed by finally getting enough of it to make a difference. It obviously would have been easier with a Gerke's and a one hander but what's the fun in that?

Thoughts:
- Frozen River was clearly the hardest and most dangerous place in Hell (took me more time to rescue Anya than all the other parts of the act together) - again. Monsters spawned were sirens, gloams and (the bone spearing) snakes - all hard hitting ranged evildoers :eek:
- Getting mobbed is bad, especially if monsters are fast hitting
- Looks uber kewl

On switch I used Baranar's Star and Moser's. And in Hell Chaos Sanctuary I had a Hellrack on switch. Didn't really use Baranar's - vengeance - conviction combo. I just zealed with CM and conviction. The gear gave enough elemental and physical damage to kill LIs fast enough.

Against the gloam type monsters both Shok and his merc used Blackhorn's Face (+20 lightning absorb).

What more can I say? Had problems with the Ancients as usual. With FE to be precice. Had to reroll over ten times. I tried once to fight them when one of them was FE. The result was predictable. All the act bosses were way too easy on p1. Especially Baal (and his minions) fell surprisingly fast (with 'bout 50% chance to hit :lol: ). Actually the first zeal took almost a quarter of his life!

Observations:

The whole game was played on p8, including the chaos sanctuary, ancients, and WSK.


Grief kills fast. Really fast. But it doesnt help you stay alive when you have less than 1200 hp. I really gained a sense of appreciation for having battle orders ... even though my 1st melee pat, an IK barb, had far worse gear than this guy, he could take a lot more punishment because of his 2500 hp. With the zealot, I can stand in the middle of some really nasty packs, but my low HP made it ... scary.

In act 5 I ended up using shaftstop instead of the prudence, because I was getting killed in 1 hit by charging undead + amp damage (owww...) -- having huge defense won't help you if you still get killed in 1 hit 5% of the time.

Oblivion nights are a pain to kill on P8. Glimmershred's don't kill quick enough.

Anyways, I had some great luck with drops while questing: One grailer, Frostwind, and not one... not two.. but three second-modded skillers:

He used Voice of Reason as his main weapon until late Act III, when I decided to make a Lawbringer do help deal with Cold Immunes and CI/PI. I put Lawbringer on Switch with a Moser's and ran Salvation. I found with the Decrepify I was killing things MUCH faster than with my main setup. Voice of Reason was fun with the Frozen Orbs going everywhere, but it just couldn't match the killing speed (and safety) of Decrepify combined with Holy Freeze. The only thing I missed was the Cannot be Frozen. I really thought I had a Ravenfrost lying around somewhere, but no. That would improve the AR as well (no Demon Limb either)

Once that switch was made, I pretty much coasted through the rest of the game without any issues. River of Flame was slightly troublesome with Amp casting witches combined with Gloams, but I toughed it out. Conversion helped some here.

In all, he was a very safe character to play and could easily have bumped up the difficulty if I wanted to. He'll probably see some play time every now and then to help hunt for even better gear. Assassin is the only class I have yet to reach Mat/Pat with, and this will probably be my last character to play twinked with for awhile. I get more enjoyment out of hunting for upgrades than I do just plugging in the gear and going to town.

Next skill point goes to Vigor finishing run speed optimization. After that, the plan was to invest in Defiance for +defense, but all the stacked PDR makes +defense pretty useless. So, now I’m leaning more towards Blessed Aim for +AR. Currently, the LCS shows 6.156 AR (76% chance to hit Council Member) without the Enchant from Demonlimb, which I think is good, but the more AR the merrier. In hindsight, I also realize that a few skill points could have been shaved from Holy Shield, since their only benefit is +defense.

The Road

Normal and NM /p8. Hell /p3. Smooth sailing practically all the way with some ridiculously easy fights in-between (eg, Nihlathak and the Ancients). I managed to kill him twice, both to IM in Chaos Sanctuary (NM and Hell).

Travincal

Run from Meshif to the city WP with Vigor on switch. Upon reaching Travincal WP, cast BC, BO, HS, put Vigor back on and Charge to the Council using the switch, then cast Teleport in order to land with merc on the left corner of the temple. Kill the Council (they’re all inside the building). Pick up & ID stuff. Reload the game. Rinse and repeat.

It takes 35 seconds average from Meshif to dead /p3 Council, unless Ismail is PI (47 secs average). Add the time of picking up stuff, identifying it, repairs, and reload the game and it gets twice that. Yes, 1:10 average! I’m not doing this for the pretty r00nz. I pick lots of stuff :D Proof

Sol-Invictus has never died to the Council. Thanks to teleport, Ahsab is very quick in Decrepifying the Council, making all that stacked PDR shine. FE bugged explosions and Hydrae are not a threat either, since his Fire Resistance is 75% regardless of Conviction. There’s only one rare and short window of danger for him in Travincal: when Conviction + Holy Shock are both present.

The merc, on the other hand, had his share of deaths while levelling (sometimes for no apparent reason!), but he stopped dying on me by level 85-86. Now, he’s totally reliable. Considering that the merc’s gear was always the same during his Travincal time, this just shows how much his level contributes to survivability.

I’ve come to the conclusion that, as long as Sol-Invictus and Ahsab both keep leeching life, they’re just fine!

Lots of Finds

Highest runes were 2 x Pul from NM forge and Travincal. (No runes for eBotD. 1.11 remember :p)
Charm highlights include 4 skillers at Travincal (plain Chilling, Preserver’s +6 str, another junky Preserver’s and Hexing with junk 2nd mods), a sweet Steel GC of Sustenance, and a Ruby SC of Sustenance (+15)
Plenty S/U including a Stone Crusher at Frigid Highlands, a bunch of jewelry in Travincal (eg, Atma’s Scarab, Carrion Wind, Raven Frosts, etc), and at least one TC3 (Rixot’s Keen) also at Travincal
Finally, two blues that I really like: the armor above and a 100+ mana/20% FCR circlet.

Next

I have 7 builds planned (1 for each class, although not a Sept). I’m currently playing the Sorceress and the Barbarian.

I went back and forth on which bow to place where, but eventually left it as above, and that seemed to have the best effect on killing things. The magic arrows on the merc came in handy at times. When not wandering into packs and dying (or doing the useless back and forth 'which way is out' thing), she was actually pretty useful for picking down packs and bosses (died fast to big D, not so fast to baal).

Years ago, I had patted another fanatic zealot, as well as a shock zealot, but both relied on shields and blocking, so this character was created with the intent of doing something familiar but with a twist: two-handed weapon.

My original plan for PD was to use the perfect Ribcracker that had been twinked to him, upgrading it to Stalagmite when his level was appropriate, maxing Zeal, Sacrifice, and Fanaticism, with maxed Conviction and as many points I could spare after pre-reqs into Vengeance for dealing with PIs; that Conviction would only help his merc's HF aura as well. I'd get resists to about 50% each, keep STR and DEX low, and just pump VIT to the moon, relying on a big total HP pool to keep me alive. Of course, no plan ever survives first contact with the enemy, at least in Hell difficulty. :)

Some nasty experiences in Acts 1 and 2 in Hell, with all of the unleechable skeletons tearing me to pieces forced me to divert some skill points from Conviction to Sanctuary, a move I DO NOT REGRET. Without having the ability to block, I was taking too much damage and unable to leech it back from skellies, and ghosts with their mana-burning melee attacks made Vengeance hard to use. I dumped a few points into Sanctuary to give myself a little bit of undead crowd control, and also made the PI ghosts vulnerable to my zeal attacks (especially handy when they were stacked on top of each other), and made my life much easier. I don't think I would have ever gotten past the undead flayers of Act 3 without it. I had never really used Sanctuary before, and its use as more than a one-point pre-req was one of my big takeaways from playing PD; any melee pally I make going forward will keep Sanctuary hotkeyed and get a few points invested beyond just the first.

I had planned to use Demon Limb on switch so the Enchant charges could make up for my rather lacking AR, but it still wasn't quite cutting it. This forced a drastic change in equipment setup, since I had to ditch a rare amulet with high resists and a Cathan's ring to use the Angelic ring/amulet combo, which forced a change in charms carried and forced me to use Kira's Guardian in place of Guillaume's Face for more resistance. This left me with two CBF items on in the endgame, obviously redundant, and less Crushing Blow than I wanted, making certain battles take a bit longer, but I needed all the resists I could get to help offset the loss of a chunk of my LL.

I was surprised by how often I died, given my high Life total. A paladin completing the game without a shield is obviously possible, but I think this may be the only time I personally do it. I like my max block and heavy resistances on shields too much. I'll leave two-handed melee weaponry to my mercs, barbarians, and, if I ever make one, shifter druid going forward. :) Honestly I lost count of how many deaths suffered, but it had to be greater than 20. I didn't mind most of them, really, except when a bunch of them happened in short succession due to some PI minotaurs almost right on top of the stairs into the Crystalline Passage.

Interesting finds included Trang's helm, allowing me to combine it with the shield and gloves so I can get a venomancer going sometime soon. Picked up Gladiator's Bane on my way to Baal, whose quest drop wasn't awful (I'm used him only ever coughing up garbage rares and normal uniques), namely a Coldsteel Eye and an IK hammer.

All in all, a very fun character. Some thoughts about playing a Frost Zealot
This is a good melee char for untwinked play until you hit Hell. Once there things are going really slow and you end up dieing all the time.

Since im very unexperienced with melee chars i probably had a tougher time than other experienced people might have. Even when i got some good gear that i collected with other chars i still had huge problems staying alive in Hell.

Once i got Dracul's Grasp my survivability increased by a few thousand percent though, it was because of these gloves i managed to get through Act 4 and 5.

I tried a few different weapons along the way, starting with the runeword Black in a Knout. I got extremely annoyed with the Knockback though so when i found a Lightsabre i used it for a while but then i saw a guide that recommended a Nords so i choose that as my end game weapon.

I did mess up the skillpoints a little as i mentioned before but the damage was still good at P1. I used Shako when fightning mobs and G-face when facing act bosses.

I would actually not recommend this char, its boring, slow and you die alot. But it was a great feeling when i finally patted him! Now i just have to pat my IK Barb and then i got atleast one Pat/Mat of every class.

The Tale:
SICK build. Cheese, and lots of it. Max Deadly Strike, Max Crusshig blow, max DR, 75/75/80/75 Resists, Max Block 17.6k Defense, 16 Life/7 Mana Leech... Point, click, kill, point the next target.
Almost immortal. I died once (and guess what? it was not from IM) in a HUGE lag spike in an MP game. Actually, i think it was not lag, the game just broke there, we (there were 3 of us) had to exit and rehost/rejoin the game.
HoZ/Stormshield: I decided in favor of stormshield because I wanted to build a char with max DR. Can't say which is better. HoZ gives a bit more damage ( because of +skills and switching resist charms for fine/sharp ones) and couple hundred more life.
Fire Rogue/Act II Merc: I'm sick of act 2 mercs. But might aura could give me a couple thousands damage, not counting the -DR from decrepify, and the ability to break physical immunities...
I guess I'll have to try the Hoz/Act II merc next time...
I haven't tried a "grief" zealot, but, for what I've read, this is comparable in terms of killing speed. I mean... 10k average damage per hit is a neat number

None worth mentioning/remembering. Hell Hellforge was a Fal, don't remember the rest

The Next:
I haven't decided between Fireclaw druid or Cleric/templar, they are both entering hell. The next Paladin will be that cleric, and then maybe an Abbot build of some sort.

Well those 2 points of FoH is from when I first made this char, I thought that maybe I could just synergize FoH and use it with conviction so I wouldn’t have to switch auras, but when I tested it out, the 1 second delay really made it an awfully slow killer against Cold Immunes that were unbreakable so I went with a half synergized Holy Shock which actually did pretty well.

Rift’s level 21 Frozen Orb was just amazing. With my current gear, I have a 5 frame Rift and a 4 frame Crescent Moon so the Orb/Tornado/Static Field procs a lot. Theres nothing better than having 5 Frozen Orbs come out one after another and just clear out a whole room. Even Cold Immune Monsters that I could break with conviction went down pretty fast with Rift b/c of the Magic and Fire damage.

Defence could be a bit higher, especially if I didn’t waste those 4 points in getting FoH which then Holy Shield would be at 18 and finished at level 85, but if I max out Holy Shield at 89, I’ll get around 24k def I think which would be pretty nice. My really high resists made me essentially immune to all non physical/magical attacks. I literally tanked a whole room of Black Souls in WSK2 with like 2 Boss packs in there and countered all the damage with just 1 healing pot.

Only weakness to this char are OK’s IM, but that’s not too much of a problem since I usually run around to kill the OKs first, but that can be troublesome sometimes, and chargers ie the undead pindle dudes and the serpent. My health isn’t too terribly impressive at just above 1k so if a boss pack gets off like 3 or 4 charges, I’m dead.

As for drops, nothing too special in Hell except for a Gul Hellforge and a Gull dagger in Act III. Highest non Hellforge rune was a Lem.
